    The problem comes with university trying to earn money these days and not accepting ace credits many times. Sadly

    As usual, great video. I loved using StraighterLine & Sophia to help with my hacking experience. I was able to complete some StraighterLine courses in a day & Sophia courses within three days.

    Great video! Do you know how many CLEP tests WGU accepts?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671

      Good question... That's a question that might be best to ask the WGU admissions office. Because it's going to be different for each degree. They'll have a firm limit on how many, but then you'll actually need to make sure CLEP offers the right exams to take place of the required WGU classes.

    Hey ryan! You got me thinking about doing an accelerated program. I know you mentioned Northeastern University, which I would do their computer science program. But how would I find out information about their competency program?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  2 роки тому +4

      Great question. Northeastern University's Competency Based program is called NUPath. www.northeastern.edu/core/students-advisors/ ... Those NUPath classes are competency based. So you'll want to take as many of those classes as possible for the Computer Science program.
      The best place to start is just picking up the phone and calling their admissions office. Ask how NUPath works for their Computer Science program. Also ask how quickly you can move through those courses.
      I will say, expect Northeastern University to be more rigorous than some of the other CBE programs. They're a high end school, so the degree is normally going to be more difficult.
      But yes, you should definitely be able to accelerate those NUPath courses.
      Hope this helps!

    You mentioned CBE program allows you only studying for the test. How to know what will be on the test? Could you please explain more about that? Thank you

      There are a number of ways, I actually spend several hours teaching how to do this inside my Degree Hacking Blueprint program. It actually depends on the school and how they format everything.
      Feel free to shoot me an email and tell me more about your situation. I'm happy to give advice... (ryan@9monthgrad.com)

    What classes should I take for a teaching degree

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671

      If you're earning outside credits, you need to find the degree you want to earn.. get a list of the required classes.. and take the classes that will match up.

    Programs like CLEP require taking the exams on site. Are there any other programs not required to be on site?

    Sir, I was wondering under your tier 3 with experience credits, I’m a FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Aircraft Mechanic. Would you think with my Certifications I would get lots of credit with Thomas Edison University?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  2 роки тому +3

      You have some very cool credentials! Yes, these should definitely earn you some credit but likely not as much as you'd hope for. Credit for experience usually doesn't equate to a ton. Call Thomas Edison and ask how many, you should get something for sure. If you're open to other paths outside of Thomas Edison, there are options I like more. Here's a video where I walk through what to look for in a school, and how to do all this stuff... www.DiplomaSecrets.com
      Hope this helps!

    So when you take an exam through a university. Instead of a third-party service.
    Does the right program have to be considered an online program OR can it either be considered as an online or in-person program

      100% Online, Competency Based Education programs that have no restrictions on how fast you graduate. That's what I look for.

      @@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Oh so.... that would mean I can’t just simply apply to ANY programs I want from Northeastern University because not all are an online program.

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671

      Yep, you need to make sure you're choosing a program that is self paced.

    Which college do you think is better if you had to choose one, University of Wisconsin or Thomas Edison?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  2 роки тому +3

      University of Wisconsin is a better school, but more expensive. But still, it's a great school. If your looking for the best bang for your buck (high quality education, low tuition cost)... wgu.edu is a solid choice. If you do choose University of Wisconsin, make sure you choose from their Flex Path programs, otherwise you won't be able to accelerate.

      16 years ago I started an online program at Thomas Edison. The deal was I could take as many classes as I wanted inside of each semester. Two problems came up: 1) state of NJ started playing games w/ their budget and created problems w/ daily operations @ TESC. But then we were going through the “Great Recession.” My point is that *could* happen again. I’m not paying thousands per semester again for them to change the rules of the game once it has started. 2) Hopefully won’t be a problem for you, but let me just say if you have a partner in life, make sure your both on the same page. Bad enough when NJ changes the rules mid-game. Even harder when it’s your “life” partner :-/ WGU is apparently the better option for me. Good luck with your decision and pursuits!

    Hi, I am already a freshman, can I still use CLEP exams to earn credits?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  8 місяців тому +1

      Usually you have to transfer in all outside credits during the enrollment process. Once you're an active student you usually can't keep bringing in credits from other sources.

    What happens if you try to test out of a class and fail the test? Do you fail the class, can retake the test or just have to continue with the class?

    • @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671
      @9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671  2 роки тому +1

      Depends on the school but I personally love programs that allow you to re-take as many times as you need. That way you never get a failing grade on your transcripts.

    Can someone transfer credits from an accredited community college to WGU?
