    97 didn't even feel like 97. I had ZERO expectations going in that year. Hard to say if they will ever have a defense that good again. But next seaons squad will be as complete of a team as they had since 06 if not the 40 years I've been watching.

    • @benkellar9970
      @benkellar9970 Рік тому

      @jamescooper3324 no they won't. Michigan won't ever win 8 or 9 out of 10 again. For 1 osu won't let a coach stay that can't win. Think about it and be honest. OSU had the better teams in most years bad coaching lost them games and they won't let that happen for 10 years straight anymore.

      @gabeswitala2292 they weren't even the highest ranked team in the Pac12 that year. They were a team like TCU they didn't belong but because Michigan played them they were a great team lol. That so called great Washington St team would have been beaten by 30 against Nebraska. Just like that TCU team that embarrassed Michigan last year got beatbdown by 50 by Georgia. You're team doesn't have the talent or the players to beat the best from the south and Never will. You're coaches don't develop QB's or WR's and you run offense doesn't work against a good defense. You only played 2 good defensive teams last years and Michigan looked bad against them. Iowa and Illinois both stopped them. Alabama and Georgia will take your lunch money every time

    As big as a long time Rick Leach , A C Carter, Woolfolk , Jamie Morris , Jared Irons , Ty Law , yeah rubbing it in on this new generation who think they know football at UM . It will take more than 2 consecutive wins to ever really solidify that statement in all reality. But it's a start . Being in denial of Ohio's dominance isn't good just because of 2 straight. You fooling yourselves if that's the bar. UM almost reached the brink of not even a rivalry with so many defeats that desperation was " Someone call Harbaugh " please ! I remember it well . So , be happy yes ! But I need to see 1 more with the National Championship Trophy hoisted high . That's the bar every UM player should be and fan need and must have to surpass takeover . A real flip . Now that's saying something you ask me.

      As an adult Michigan fan, I completely agree.. The only time we lived up to top 5 preseason expectations was when we had an underdog unicorn GOAT finish season whom I believe began as a close backup
      to the hometown hero, 5 star stud Dru Henson who's actually has very similar physical attributes to JJ.. Ironically I believe he would have been a great NFL quarterback, half the picks he threw was bc receivers at the college level had a hard enough time adjusting to his fastball but the lefty spiral often spun out of their glove less hands, bouncing off the numbers on the chest and into the dbs hands..
      Just as disappointing as Tractor Traylor not being living up to his physical potential of being the love child Shaq and Charles Barkley..
