Thank you for these tips! The basics always make the difference, it’s important to get the right habits straight In the boxing club there are a lot to work on, and to have such exercise to work home is really great 🙏🏻
I just recently started learning Muay Thai/ Kickboxing and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu this is a nice video breaking down the basics, for those days I can't get into the gym but want to do some homework. Thanks for this video.
So, it's ok for the front foot to be flat just don't go onto the heel. Most of the time we keep the back heel up so you can explode off it easier but there's times we shift the weight onto the back foot and make the front foot light in order to throw lead leg techniques or check with the lead leg more. I'll post a video showing the 3 main stances we use and why. Thanks
This is wrong, I trainen in Ko Samui, Thailand, and you are supposed to stand more towards to opponent with both feet. Your back foot is only a little more back than your lead foot.
Hi Jimj we have a few different stances we utilize under different situations and these are the ones I was taught by my instructors -some of them multiple times stadium or world champions. Personally, after 33 years in martial arts I don’t believe anything is necessarily right or wrong - something’s work better for one person in certain situations whereas others work better for someone else in other situations - the only thing that’s truly wrong is being unconscious in the ring 😁🙏
