Never been more wrong, ain’t no way you can jump into the series on this game and fully enjoy it.
Settle down big guy! All I am saying is that you can still enjoy it, even if you haven't played the other games... It's a great game from a great series. I'd hope new players would want to try out the other games, but the game is still lots of fun and enjoyable on its own. Obviously, you will appreciate it a lot more if you've played the other titles, but in the end of the day, wouldn't we just be happy if more people were jumping into these fantastic games?
Terrible to jump into the closing arc to ereboian and crossbell 😅 I'd state its a great game to intice you to try the others before this. Way too much lore to just jump in,you don't understand the characters, the story, what's that's academy, what's a bracer..
@@TheBetaNetworkit literally doesn’t make sense unless you played the previous games.
Can only hope no one saw this and actually started the series with this game.
Starting the trails series at reverie would be like starting marvel at endgame.
Bare minimum play through Cold Steel 1-4 but you should really start at the sky trilogy
HAHAHA this game is a good place to start!? Who starts a series by watching the season finale??
I think Cold Steel would be a better starting point since the series is somewhat in the middle.. Reverie is more like the finishing chapter, I guess? But that’s just me 😅
Going backwards was really hard for me, so my bare minimum is CS1-CS4. I watched story recaps for Sky Trilogy and Crossbell duology to at least understand what was going on prior to CS1.
Did I enjoy it? Yes, I love it, even. Did I ruin my experience? Well, no if you ask me, cause it's my preference.
But for full experience, I must say IF you have the time AND you're willing, Sky FC is the answer.
"great place to start" this is an ad; You cannot convince me you weren't paid to make this. This is literally the worst game to start on
Do not jump in at reverie. For the love of god. Don’t even jump it at cold steel 3. Jump in at cold steel one or better yet go play the newly adapted crossbell arc for more accessible combat mechanics. It’s going to be a trek and a have to catch up but it’s worth it. You need to feel what we all feel when the shi hits the fan in reverie.
I would highly suggest not starting with reverie I've played only CS 1-4 and reverie I need to get all of them at some point
I've never tried out this series before, will I be ok jumping in here?
I would say yes. Whilst I would recommend starting with Trails from Zero - which is the start of the Crosbell arc, the game is a lot of fun and really intriguing in its own right! 😀
@@TheBetaNetwork Thanks for clarifying! I might start from Crosbell then
Absolutely not. This this the 9th game in a long running series. Unlike other series like Tales or Final Fantasy, all the games are connected and assume you've played the previous ones. The best starting point is at the beginning: Trails in the Sky.
I'd say Trails in the Sky as well. Every game from Crossbell to Reverie calls back to the events of the Liberl arc, and characters from those games will be appearing again. Actually, two characters from Trails in the Sky returns to Zero (first game of Crossbell) and their appearance and reason for being there will make more sense and emotional after playing Sky.
no this is an ad; he was paid to make this. this is the worst place to start. I don't believe this is an actual opinion lmao it's as bad as NIS (they took over at cs3) saying cs3 was a good starting point during their marketing lmao
Oh yeah definitely. If your insane and wanna be spamming “wait, who?”
In all honesty. Just look up the nutshell videos and you’ll probably be set. Again. Probably.
I guess it's a good place to start if u don't mind reading homework before the game proper lol
Hey... I don't mind homework 🤣🤣🤣 But I definitely get that the best way to enjoy this game is to play through the series... Because, obviously! But, to be fair, it still explains things a lot better than some other sequels out there, hence why new players may still get a kick out of starting here!
@@TheBetaNetwork I'm still working my way thru CS4
