- Clint and I spend the afternoon metal detecting for gold nuggets and were successful on the poverty patch!
Metal detectors used: Minelab GPX 6000 with the Xceed coil (12x7) from Nuggetfinder.

It’s always encouraging to dig lead in the old beat up patches, if they missed lead then they missed gold too. That’s impressive depth on that first nugget with the 6000.

I missed the last couple of weeks, I did notice you let Clint drive,mmm, you are going to Germany again, it feels like last month you were there, oh well, been thinking of going oval on my 6000 but haven't had any gold so far this dry season, it's like it has all sunk down deeper, dug a tin can at about a metre that my mate got with his new oval coil on a 3030, I think that's what it is, we dug excitedly for hours including his wife, we were all exhausted after that and went home, been fixing the hydraulics on the old backhoe, thought I had it ready yesterday then drip,drip,drip from out of the filter container, I pushed Sikaflex into the gap this morning after emptying the hydraulic oil into my ear and onto my shoulder and finally caught a bit in the bucket, I have left that to set for a day or two as I will go to Katherine to get supplies and more hydraulic oil and Oring's if the Sikaflex doesn't hold. Picked up a cheap single axled van that I am also working on to travel with down to SA for xmas then maybe out your way next year as I will have to come back and care take a place once the rains start in January up here, hopefully I will get the gold soon. Enjoy your trip to Germany and I hope you keep the video's going.

When you pick rubbish do you make a point to put it all in one spot or just drop it again ,, I wonder if this would help you , reason is if you scrap back the toppings and re check it with detectors it may produce more deeper in ground , and maybe it won't too 😂 , wish I was able to get my shit together and come up and join you someday , think I'd have a great time and enjoy chatting as we go
All the rubbish goes into my pocket first and then in the bin, don’t want to dig the same rubbish again next time I go back there.

Safe and enjoyable trip Krissy. Bad news for is I am in WA for the first time since 2019 and already have gold ( gold you could have found) in my container LOL. As I type this a beautiful golden sunrise is peeping thru the Mulga. Your beloved flies are one short as I swallowed one yesterday and thought of you. It is not easy laughing at your discomfort and gagging on my own person fly.

Love the 6000 for being so light and easy, the 7000 has its own place and will get a better workout again soon where it punches deeper on bigger gold I hope 🤞🏻

I guess it's because the machine is a lot quicker to set up and heaps lighter than the GPZ but there are a few areas I want to hit with the 7000 soon.

Yes, I'm a big fan of it! The sound is actually better just because it's closer to my ears. I've only used it on the 6000 so far but found out about a bluetooth transmitter which I ordered so that I can give it a try with the 7000 as well when I'm back. Here is where I ordered mine: amzn.to/43Gntdg
