av got some greater sandeel in the freezer it would seem those would be excellent deadbaits..... but i havent heard of people using them. Have you heard of people having success with greater sandeel or launce. lovely streamline bright baits.

I have a wychwood agitator for my deadbaiting, honestly the fox rods dont compare. Fox have nice terminal tackle but the rods for me are a no go.
And the wychwoods aren't a patch on free spirit pike tamers
Would you use a mono rubbing leader with braided mainline?

Hi guys
While this is all very standard the reality is LOADS of waters over the years are now geared up for carp with a lot of lakes removing pike and day ticket waters becoming less by moving to membership only so giving anglers less scope to fish more venues.
The most important thing anyone no matter what age is please please please take someone with you who has experience in pike fishing . They are not like carp and extremely fragile creatures and can die very easy
Could u not use carp rods, or is the pike rod a bit different,
You can use carp rods anything around the 3lb tc range would be fine mate 👍
If you can get one,use a proper pike rod, ringed differently and action is better for casting deadbaits. Tip action carp rods are not ideal for piking
Foam in a deadbait?! No go!
