Honestly, people sleep on the "Bellatrix, dead Sirius" bar. Like oh my god Luke's entire third verse was straight fire.

Luke's third verse definitely helped pull him a lot closer to winning, but a lot of people do overlook that bar and end up coming to the conclusion that Harry straight up murdered Luke
Harry definitely won, but it was definitely a bit closer than people think
He did say he stopped watching the movies,so it's entirely possible he doesn't know serious is his uncle or that Bellatrix killed him,from his reaction I don't think he caught that.

That "land 'em in your face" line is a reference to when the Millennium Falcon hid in an asteroid hole that turned out to be the mouth of a creature. When he spotted the hole, Han said "that'll do nicely."
This line is such a niche reference and I love it.
The maneuver of the Falcon in that scene of the video is actually the same shot as in the movie too.
That “bellatrix dead serius” bar is so overlooked
I think Harry's second verse is probably the hardest verse in any ERB. Every single punch is just an absolute haymaker and delivered perfectly.
Not even close. Harry had some pretty good rhymes and great disses but there's been far better in ERB before.

@@Tank1711 alright since we have an example now, I do like that ERB, but I will say Monroe took 2 verses to warm up and honestly I don't think either of them go quite as hard as Harry's. Not as many hard punches. Also I kinda hate that battle just because Monroe got a random 3rd verse with no 3rd from Cleopatra.

I think a few of Luke’s ending lines get overlooked. The “dead sirius” line is pretty good.
“Mind tricks put the mix on your imperious” basically saying Harry would have no shot against Luke in a fight.
But “no need to Expelliarmus your harmless in a duel”, that’s a good line. Expelliarmus is a disarming spell.
he’s basically saying Harry can keep his wand and any other weapon he wants, he’ll still be completely useless against Luke.
also, jedi mind ticks is a homage to the hip hop group. They have a song called imperial tyranny, but I don't know if I am taking it too far here... What is not a stretch though is that in the hp universe, there is the imperius curse. So yeah
That's all just posturing basically, whereas Scru tends to prefer hard hitting factual disses in order to score points in a battle.

Forgetting even for a minute that it was Lego...the freaking slam dunks that Thor was hitting Zeus with were insane - and Zeus was hitting back with some great shots too, just not as hard. That's definitely my favorite ERB, and one of my very favorite beats of the whole series.

idk even notice till now, but "you're Lukewarm like some Tauntaun remains" hits harder, the Tauntaun remains kept Luke warm and he flipped it to lukewarm, maybe I'm late to the party but that's fire

I've always wanted you to return to Freddy vs Wolverine. It was one of the first you reacted to and I feel there was a lot of good stuff you missed in it. It's my personal favourite!

That one is weird, the first time i didnt like it, but with every rewatch it grew. Its actually pretty fire (especially Wolverines flow at two points)
Honestly I swear it was one of the more lopsided battles. Wolverine took it with his first freaking lines, then kept digging down to bedrock to bury the dude. He had the haymakers, the flow, all of it. A lot of times the rap battles come down to one side having weaker hits but a better show of skill against a rougher flow but much better shots so you can argue who won based off what you like, but that one? Wolverine start to finish.
"I'm bellatrix, dead sirius" lives in my head more than the sister bar tbh
I feel it's overdone, there were already memes about that 10 years ago, it was even included in the Hermione Granger VS Karniss Everdeen princess rap battle.
Whereas the Slytherin in a sister comes right after the dead mom rebuttal, which hurts like a truck too.

@@Vis_Maior Except the sister line doesn't really have any fire to it. For one, Luke didn't go in her at all. They had one rushed kiss and that was it. And neither of them knew they were related to each other when it happened.
So at best, the bar is literally just "you accidentally kissed your sister one time." Like big deal dude. The same thing happens later when Harry makes fun of Luke for losing his hand. Like big deal, he lost his hand and got back a better cybernetic hand. The dude lives in a sci-fi setting, not 300 b.c. Losing a hand isn't a big deal.
I love how no one has noticed that Luke's second to last line is a self-burn.

You can read Gryffin-dorky as Gryffin-door-key, which makes Luke say that Harry literally needed wizardry to leave that stupid cupboard. You can tell that this was intentional since you see Harry sitting inside the cupboard under the stairs when Luke drops that bar.

The thing about Harry in this one is that, like Pennywise in an earlier episode, he was hitting on target much more consistently in comparison to his opponent. Luke had a few strong disses mixed with a lot of boasting, whereas Harry was just swinging on him with every line for the first two rounds. Luke didn't start really fighting back until the third, and by that point Harry had already been going crazy the whole battle.
Scru also has a point about the "Dumble-dweeb/Gryffin-dorky" lines. Those are first-grade insults masquerading as bars, and they detract from Luke's rounds.
I was just rewatching your first reaction to this yesterday and wanted you to do a second reaction. I like how Luke got better and more confident as he got older. But Harry was fire all throughout. I first thought Luke took it, but Harry was just dropping bomb after bomb for the whole video.
Harry's last verse was weak, though.

I'm going to stand by it, Luke's inconsistency in his points loses him the battle. He spent half round one explaining how Harry's story is inspired by his, and then starts his second verse with "I guess you and I are pretty different"

i think the whole bellatrix dead sirius scheme is better than slytherin a sister, the line is hard in itself but the fact that luke never did that and he didn't know makes the line not hit as tough for me. Harry still won, but i think luke had the hardest line.

Just the attention to detail is insane. Like when you see the green flash when Harry talks about the death of his mom. She was killed by Avada Kedavra, the killing curse, which a described as a green flash. There are plenty others from the bars alone but I thought that was a nice touch

One thing though, the whole stormtrooper bar is a rebuttal on Luke’s opening line about him shooting first and missing. He’s saying basically that he may have missed the first shot, but everything Luke said misses.

@Scru Accio is a call spell to bring something to you. So you had it right the first time when you said "bring the mic here". A lot of people seem to get it confused because in the movie he says "Accio Firebolt" which was the name of his broom. I've heard a lot of people argue that Accio was a fire spell lol.
You got to remember ERB's lyrics need to fit a narrative between the combants which limits where they can take the direction of a battle where as other Battle Rappers can decide how deep of a cut to make based on the verse they just heard and maybe they intend land a soft blow to set up a major hit later in the battle.
