That purple paint is GORGEOUS!!
I like the way youtry and cover anything that flies - fixed-wing, rotor-wing, Part 103. Flight is my passion and I've been doing since '77 as a hang glider and '78 for my private pilot's license. Disability has me looking at the 103 fare and things are looking up. Some really nice DIY units like the Badlands, Aerolight and the Hummel. That Mosquito heli looks pretty slick as well. Keep up the promotion efforts.
Welcome back to Mooresville, NC to see John! Great video. Please come back and follow up on the other builds there. They’ve all made progress and would love to be represented on your channel as inspiration for all airplane fans.
I hope to! Thanks for the support and taking the time to watch!
Go John and EAA Chapter 309! Great video Bryan!
What a great episode.. I have waited for this. I own a 162F
Thanks for doing this one!
You are VERY welcome! Thanks for the positive feedback!
Man, I'd love to own that! Looks like a great machine. For now, I'll be learning to fly my trike-launched paramotor, but some day would love to upgrade to a Mosquito, and start building that. One of these days!
Great outro, too, BTW - nice work! 👍 Have a Merry Christmas.
I've been interested in Rotorway since the 1980's when the kit was $30,000.00 . Fell in love but couldn't afford it at the time. I 'm still interested in purchasing one.
Keith feel free to reach out to me and I can see about getting you in one of these beautiful aircrafts. wendyp@rotorxaircraft.com
160+ K now lol
we got ours in 84.....
Very nice chopper.
Very nice
super informative
thenks bro
Good video.
You should do a factory tour of the company and go in depth on their "new" a600. They changed the landing gear, stabiliser, tail rotor and some fiberglass parts but they remain kinda vague on the increased performance of the new model
I would love to! Thank you for the suggestion! Thanks for taking the time to watch!
for the price of that flying coffin ,,u could bye several old planes ,,that work
How long and how much does it cost to learn to fly one of these
Time to review the helicycle :)
Yeah? You like that one as well? I'll see what I can do. Thanks for watching and supporting here!
That helicopter music at the end was cool. Did u find it or mix it? Good fit for this vid.
Hey! The Artist is: FORMANTX and I used two songs from them and spliced together some parts from both " Deorc Decuple" and "Out Last Stand." These might only be found on www.epidemicsound.com however. Thanks for watching! I appreciate you!
You might consider interviewing the ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. I believe he has built two helicopters. He also writes for Kitplanes magazine. Plus the best part... he is from Texas
@Bill Crawford....Are you serious???? About all of that? Interesting! Thanks for watching!
Experimental Aircraft Channel yessir it’s true
Experimental Aircraft Channel i’m building an autogyro. Specifically it’s a Parsons two place trainer with a Lycoming 03 20 pusher. What I would like to know is in more detail about how to go about a weight and balance on that type of a machine. It is important to place the CG, propeller thrust and the rotor thrust line within certain very limited distance from each other. I’ve seen a scant few hang test videos out there but none of them go to any detail about how all of this should come about. If you are lucky enough to see that through, documenting this for you Pilot Operating Handbook which every homebuilder must pen is another step which seems not well spoken about. I’m slowly building my base of flying and building buddies but scant few knows how to go about this in the gyro world. Want a challenge?
Bill Burr also has floen a Rotorway, not sure if he owns one. I most often see him in a Robinson R22
I'm the first to like it and first to comment, I'm just saying.
You and FIRSTS! Hah! Thanks for showing up buddy! I appreciate you!
i like the r 22 dash better than ours
Had a talk with the guys at Rotorway back in the 90's, when they said that the life limit on their rotor blades were 800 hours, I quickly lost interest, Hopefully they've extended the life limit times just a little bit since then.
Hi RotorWay is now called Rotor X Aircraft and we have made significant improvements since the 90s. Specifically, the rotor blades are rated for 1500 hours now.
Ouch! The cost of building one of those is out of reach of most people!
Helicopters in general are out of reach of most people
@@olafurmikaelsson4794 Yep, unfortunately. or maybe not unfortunate we would have them flying around like wasps!
Do anybody know what's the airfoil of the main rotor blades of A600 ???
@Bloodair1011 That would be a an excellent question for ROTORWAY. They are of course still in business if you would like to reach out to them. Thank you for taking the time to watch!
Now 140K ??? my buddy bought it for 35K about 10 yrs ago
stealhty1 I would like to talk to you about the pricing email me at wendyp@rotorxaircraft.com
There is no footage of this in flight, for those of you who found this video because you searched the copter up. Wack.
I'll take 10. Does He take Cereal Box Tops?
I watched until the end as you suggested, and since I wear headphones watching UA-cam videos, your audio at the end about blew my ears out. So from now on, as soon as your "content" is finished, I will mute the audio.
Yeah... So sorry about that. I usually am very mindful of my Sound Levels. Got excited jamming to that personally I guess and forget to tone it down! Thanks for the "feedback" (literally) on to much feedback . :-) Thank you for your support!
That must happens a lot, how to you then handle the irritating commercials that come on at 185db over the content volume. It bloody irritating. There should be an algorithm on UA-cam that one the volume is set to a specific level, it is modulated to stay that way.
@@Flightstar normally you are warned about 4 seconds out before a commercial starts, so I mute it at that point.
Id like to hear what kind of excuses are used to ramp up costs so significantly. Go visit the Rotorway and corner the CEO and find out what his lame excuse is.
They are 88k now and its an improved model with Turbo
Liability insurance would be the main driver of the increase costs over the years.
We are a litigious society.
