‘Beauty & The Beast’ Paige O’Hara Paints Gaston at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Paige O’Hara is a woman of many - Disney - talents! Not only did she voice Belle in the 1991 classic “Beauty & The Beast,” but she also paints! In fact her work can be seen at this year’s Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
During the first few days of the festival, Paige, who typically paints Disney Princesses, took on the challenge of painting the rascal of “Beauty & The Beast” live. In the France pavilion!

I met Paige at Fan Expo Dallas in 2018. She was so loving and sweet. I told her that there was someone in my life who was so much like Gaston. Everyone thought he was the greatest guy in the entire world, but I saw him for who he truly was and that was a shallow and arrogant jerk. Belle made me feel like I wasn't alone when it came to seeing people for who they really are. Paige was so touched by that. I also love that she considers Mother Teresa her true heroine.

I am here because of our activity in Moon Township on the Orange Belt, which is spas and makeovers at Robert Morris University on University Boulevard. We will go through other Disney Princess colored belts, as well, such as Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Mulan. If only Linda Larkin, Irene Bedard, and I forget the name of Mulan’s voice actress, were here accompanying Paige O’Hara at Epcot, huh?

There was a series titled Sing Me a Story with Belle that aired back in the mid to late 1990s. The opening had a mix of animation from the film and Belle was live-action and played by a different actress. In the show, she would tell different stories to kids and it got a lot of praise back in the day.
