Diving the Seli 1 shipwreck in Blouberg

A few years ago I was siting at home in my 5th floor sea view apartment on Blouberg beach front. It was quite a dark night and the northwester was so vicious my windows were bending. It was stressing me out, but at the same time something way more stressful was going on out at sea. A ship was coming towards the shore. And fast!
It eventually got stuck and wrecked right in front of my apartment. The elements moved it south over night and some more over the next few days until it came to stop at its final resting place at kite beach. There it made the perfect break and we had superb wave to surf for years. It became a feature and some crazy kiter even jumped off the crane.
A few years on we were sitting at Pakalolo having breakfast and a huge explosion rang out. We did not expect it. It was the city blowing up the SELI. Its now in pieces as it has been for years and we finally got a chance to dive it. Here it is. Viz was not great, but this is what we got.
