Luiza Grillo if they were going to do a televised version of this revue, I would want to use each show’s original orchestrations, if possible. And since the finale is “The Music of the Night” I would want it performed by the five greatest Phantoms of all time: Colm Wilkinson Norm Lewis Ramin Karimloo John Owen-Jones & Michael Crawford.
For the title song from “The Phantom of the Opera,” I would also want Sarah Brightman to sing Christine’s part. But for “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again,” I believe that it’s about time for Jackie Evancho to finally make an official recording of it.
Another Andrew Lloyd Webber musical that Hal Prince directed was “Evita.” But, who would perform “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina?” My choice would be either Madonna or Sarah Brightman.
