2nd greatest catch of my life second only to Laura!
Epic bro, can't thank you enough for making this happen
You sure know which side of your bread is buttered 😊❤️

Way to team up on a badass fish!🎣👏
Great job you knuckleheads rock! Great video 👏🎣
I'm pausing this at 13:00 just to say how much I love an appreciate the giggles that come out involuntarily when any fisherman gets into a dream fish. I can totally relate.
Congrats...!!! Something to remember for life..!!!!!!!!!! 10 years ago my first Bluefin was in the Bahamas.. 450 lbs. We (4 guys) caught over 3000 lbs in 3 hours... 4 guys wiped out by tuna
danggggg
that lancet fish you guys caught a deep water fish one of only less than 20 caught they say off san diego since 1947 !!! the last one in 1996, might give the fish and game a call, share the video, they might be interested
nice tuna!!!
Congratulations, my first bluefin was 240 pounds 2.5 hours. I fought it for two hours before I handed the rod off. My hands cramped so bad that night I couldn’t sleep and I was sore for a week.
Thats epic!!!! haha
Mine was 20 pounds, took me 15 minutes. Pretty anti climactic.
Catching 20-60 pounders is a great time! Way less painful than catch cow bluefin.
@anthonypaim5469 I had a blast, they pull pound for pound more than any fish IMO. At least that I have experienced in SoCal.
They don’t quit, I tell everyone catching a cow tuna is like hooking a Toyota pickup and fighting it until it runs out of gas.
As an old Bay Area fisherman I can't believe you guys caught that tuna so close in. I haven't fished there for about 40 years. We use to have to go 50 miles out of Santa Cruz for Albacore. Congratulations to all of you!.... Mike in Minnesota.
That was the most epic video Adam so far since I been watching your videos. Awesome shots of the catch and great teamwork. Aloha from Kansas.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I watched every single minute. Entertain the entire time. I laughed with you guys especially when you finally landed it!
Thanks for watching!
I haven’t seen this guy’s channel in a while but I love the way you’re so humble and congratulations on your BFT!
Bro congrats on your fishing adventure tanks for posting your videos tanks for your time have great day out there tanks
I was on edge watching you guys trying to gaff it in. Great to see you guys close it out.
This was EPIC! Congrats to all of you! Just in case you felt like this wasn't enough of a challenge, there are rumors of possible NorCal sword fish (deep dropping) :).
Challenge accepted! haha
There are swordfish in Nor-cal.
I never thought in a million years that Bluefin Tuna would be caught in the Bay area! The Sea Of Cortes in Mexico and Southern California, yeah, but Northern California? How Epic, and what a adventure! Great team work!
You and me both! Amazing to see these fish in our home waters.
This isn't something to celebrate tbh. This is a grim sign of the future health of our oceans.
@@nomadhomad3685 valid point. The oceans are heating up.
@@nomadhomad3685 Not sure these bluefin being around in record numbers is a bad thing. Its a great thing actually! These bluefin were endangered, but since regulations on commercial fishing have been much more strict in recent years, everything is thriving. Never seen so much life in our ocean the last few years. The earth works in cycles. Before humans roamed, places like Alaska have been tropical in the past and South America has been arctic in earths history
i was catching 100+lb bluefin 25 years ago 12 miles out, bay area, this is nothing new@@nomadhomad3685 .
kayak fish that beast? sheeeeit...you'll see Hawaii before it's reeled half-way in 😂
Don't try it. We need you around to do more great vids.
The Dorado made it all the way to Oregon this year… crazy, surprised you didn’t hook up on any this year
Great battle! So rewarding after losing a couple. I noticed the Scotty downrigger brake is broken, you guys had to use a pair of pliers to let the line out. Scotty will ship you a new brake, or if you ship the downrigger to them they will replace it for you. I live about 15 minutes away from them, happy to help if needed.
Never grab a gaffed fish to pull those gaffs pull out you will get gaffed in face!!
Ryan call me, I’ll chip in for gas and expenses. Sunday, mondays, and tuesdays I am off. Let’s go tuna fishing!
My favorite vid yet of yours Adam!! I too landed my first Santa Cruz BF this year. Definitely the highlight of my fishing passion!! I still can’t believe you guys went out there with 1 sardine, drifted it, and landed that 200 plus pounder!!! Absolutely insane!!!😉💪🤙
Wow!! What a fish 🐟! Thanks for sharing the adventure! Bucket 🪣 list!
Nice fish out of Santa Cruz✨
Epic fight Adam! I grew up game fishing a lot and a big fin screaming off never gets old. There is really nothing like it! I can't believe you guys fought that first one so long without either of you wearing a gimbal or harness either! Def put one of each on your Santa list my friend ;) Makes the world of difference when battling those barrels!!
Nice fish. May I suggest keeping the fish in the corner instead of fighting it from midships. Also you guys are fighting it all wrong. Watch some of video of the Southern California fishing. That's the correct way to do it and you won't burn yourself out very nice fish
I was trying to use the rail but my rail is very low
Dude what a story. Two homies. A boat, a nice boat. Having never got a tuna in California ever before. And they spend the gas and ice and tackle expense and just go for it. And make fishing lore history. Utter disappointment to absolutely triumph
Couldn't have said it better myself!
Here in Alaska, I carry a harpoon on the boat for fish this big. Good job, nice teamwork, getting this to the boat.
To say I'm jealous is an understatement! Thanks for showing us how it's done!!
What up Nick. My son and I are down to do some surf fishing with you bruh
Yours is next!
I been watching your videos for about a year now. That was amazing good job.
You see foamers you gotta get in there and go “Surface Irons Only “‼️🍻👏👏👏
The journey of an epic catch. The way you put this story together was perfect. I would imagine this will probably get more views than when you were hit by a boat.
Great job documenting it all. Hats off to all of you. Dunno why their are Die hard fisherman Haters out there. They can suck it😊
I agree haha
Exciting n to show how easy it is to lose them just builds up the anticipation n excitement. This is why I don't play with my fish. My bottom line is to bring it in as fast as possible to prevent any mishaps n believe me, I lose record size fishes b4 n never learn. My set up is just 17 lbs p line n I use it for everything in the delta. 25 lbs salmon n 22 lbs striper my biggest landed but the one that got away popped my line n those are even bigger. I never learn because my rod is only a medium action rod. Great trip n exciting clip this one is. Just like nascar, hate to say it but some folks go to see a wreck. With this clip, the more you pass that rod to folks n the more times the fish runs, I was for sure that line will pop somehow. Got me super stoked. Till next adventure Adam.
Love that, be like if you throw a rhino off a cliff
one of the best lines of the video for sure! haha
Covered all but what if any is the size limit on west coast. East coast 73 in. All that said awesome catch!
no size limit on the west coast
Great video! Great fish! 🎣👏
Dang! You thought out that intro very well brother. Covered all the bases. Wind wind wind!!!!!
Yeah I spent a good chunk of my day editing that 60 second clip lol
@@DieHardFishing well done and time well spent. You caught everyone up to speed who might not have known anything about bluefin in NorCal.
I watch all of your videos. That was, by far, my favorite!
Guess I'll have to catch another one just for you!
tip: when your fish is on color and doing the death roll leave your rod on the rail and put the reel on low gear watch the tip of your rod and reel when the rod is coming up no need to pump the fish at that moment, that's why you lost it, pull on them hard and steady! never let the line go slack!
Thanks for the tip!
I grew up in the bay area I had no idea that blue fin could be had out there AWESOME job guys
Amazing bluefin Adam!!!! keep up the killer vids brother! 🤙
ive gone long range out of san diego a few times....never would i believe a cow bluefin would be landed in the bay area. you guys muscled that fish in.......perhaps use the rope at the finish next time. i was a bit worried the tuna would slip out of your hands and back into the ocean.......but you guys found monster energy to pull it over the rail. good stuff. enjoy the sushi.
The adrenaline was pumping for sure haha
Adam let’s go on a long range fishing trip.
This by far is every fisherman’s ultimate dream quest. Congratulations Adam! What a fantastic experience and amazing team effort. Look out @Wickedtuna, #BayAreaBluefin are coming for ya outer bank boys!
Thanks for watching! Best believe I'll be back out there!
My son Bilal and I have been enjoying your fishing quests for the past 3 years and it has brought our relationship to a whole new level. Just wanted to say thank you for your quality videos and tremendous efforts. We hope to fish with you someday. That would be absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work Adam. It has definitely made a positive impact in my life as well as my son’s. 🙏🏽✌🏽
That is awesome!!!! I hope to see you out on the water sometime!
I liked Ya before.
I respect Ya now Kid.
Kid isn’t a disrespectful coming from me Kid.
Your a very caim angler unless your leaving out the swear words 😂😂
I watch another channel in the uk and his favourite word is the b’st,ard
Again 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic videos, canoe, boat and shore.I’m jealous
Wow! No way a kayak can land this size of a fish! AWESOME!!!
see ''sdfishandsips'' and eat your words.
Congrats! Bluefin is on my shortlist of species to catch next.
Screaming for likes... Man, up and compose yourselves. Sounds like the recess bell rang!
LOL X 1000 Classic. Give em a break though. imagine catching a cow bluefin if the biggest thing you've ever caught was Halibut or Salmon. They were luck they landed it on that jacked up gear.
Some fishermen caught a 930 lb. tuna in 7 seconds. The tuna got hooked and ran straight into the side of the boat and was gaffed by numerous people. Excellent job. Fun to watch. Try albacore sport fishing. Real Gorillas
Epic content! 🙌🏼 huge CONGRATULATIONS
best video you've done. great edit, great fish. Was filled with suspense. i managed a 96 lb yellow one time, p.s. nothing good comes from tightening your drag!!!! i was yelling, dont touch that drag!!! if anything, loosen it before a gaff of the head hits the surface, because you know what happens once a fish gets hit with a gaff!!! Thanks Adam
Take clicker off before reeling in, just wears it.
You guys are crazy," hold Adam he's not going anywhere" funny stuff 😂👍🎣
Adam, great Bluefin.
On another note, watch sonar for dummies, great guy, like you, very generous with valuable info. Mike Smedley. You won’t regret the time invested. Quality you tuber.
Tight lines to you, Ted
I swear I hooked that same BFT off Newport about month ago lol 😂
hahaha, thanks for the clean release
This is what you need to do. Start trolling the Madmack lure about 150 yds back. When you hook up fight the fish hard for like 15 mins and then pass the rod off. You guys each fought the fish too long. You'll kill him faster. And buy a rail rod because the rail is your friend.
You guys need a harpoon!! Congratulations boys, lifetime achievement right there fellas !! Nice job!
I literally stood up and clapped when you guys landed that monster. After the first fight, I went and popped a bag of popcorn cuz I knew I was watching this one straight through. Congrats on checking this one off the bucket list. If you are ever in need of an extra person for another trip, I volunteer as tribute......just sayin 😆
You are my hero! Thanks for sticking it out with us!
Congratulations!!!!
Until you’ve caught a bluefin tuna in your backyard you will never know what a fantastic feeling it is. I was LUCKY ENOUGH to get one this year as well. Went 1-2 on a solo trip lost the first one after 25 minutes. Once you’ve been touched there’s no turning back. Definitely one of my new targeting species for home waters. Nice toad!!!✌🏻✌🏻
they're awesome they catch a big fish 🐟 😊
Great job i live in modesto ca its so exciting thinking that we have new oportunites i love your videos man i better start working out thanks for all your effots adam i really apreciate you
WOW!!!.. good job, that's what I call a fight.🐟
TOO MUCH TALKING, we want to watch you fish not talk for 20 minutes.
Hey I moved to the Bay Area about a year and a half ago I’ve been trying to learn the fishing out here I been doing onshore fishing trying to catch my first lingcod but nothing yet. Any pointers or maybe a good area to hit if not all good love the content bro and absolutely insane tuna 🤯
Congrats on the monster tuna man! That’s an epic catch!
Sorry buddy but you lost that fish because you were pinching the line to the rod. Guaranteed. Hope you did eventually get one though
That was big far, your best video. I love your videos keep making Content
If you go tuna fishing in your kayak please take a buddy, Fish is gonna tow you out to sea, Then worry about towing it back and sharks.
Congratulations, that’s awesome
Jesus Christ that’s ridiculous! Congratulations to all of you! I’ve missed out on tuna season for the past couple years because of school but you better believe it if they come through next year I’m going out!
See you out there!
And now the Catch and Un-Cooked video. I know of a sushi chef....
100 percent huge! Confirmed giant 😅 Funny stuff ha!
You’re gonna have to buy a boat that was insane
Hahahaha......great stuff......hard to gaff those big guys isn't it?...LOL
nothing like catching a bluefin tuna. caught my first one in San Diego this year. Definitely addicting!
Same I thought I had a yellowtail on so I was horsing it in. Ended being like 40 lbs lol. First ever bluefin
Very impressive catch! Fun to watch
Congrats gents that was SICK!
This is such an awesome video. I feel that every time you wear that beanie you take out monsters. Where did you get that beanie !!!??
I got it from my super secret beanie honey hole haha
That is Awesome fun.
Keep your thumb off the line. You are increasing the drag! Yes that rig is to small.
All I can say is rookie grabbing rod pushing line against rod , great way to part off
let the waves help you when the swell goes down you wind hold on the rise don't wind then when the swell goes down wind when the fish is Straight down switch to low gear and wind
Congratulations on your bluefin!!!!
The boat is maybe the most important piece of landing a large tuna. Use it next time.
When are you making another video at Clifton court forbay, the bite is on rn
That's awesome. You have a license. Could you sell that?
I had no clue you that bad As Kid.
Olive It
thats so awesome, congrats Adam!
Bless you all absolutely epic.
So cool Adam I’ve lived here my whole life and saw pics and heard stories but to watch you guys and feel the excitement let alone actually landing a giant for our waters it was truly amazing thank you
I appreciate you for watching!
Way to go from a retired tuna fishing captain out of Dana point calif.!
Best video yet! Love the jokes and team work among you 3.
It truly was a team effort, couldn't have done it without those guys and gals!
Congratulations it was a lot of fun just to watch that video. Best fishing video of the year
they're having fun
Hope you dropped your pots before heading out! Lol
Wow 😮it was epic 👏👏👏👏woooohooooo 🎣🎣🎣fish on 😅😅heart dropping experience 😅👏👏👏

Yes, the power of nature can be humbling. Amazing catch and land....
Awesome how far out and what size boat🛥️ ?
Crushing the monster on the Makaira too! Great job guys.
