This is absolutely the BEST timing! Last year I decided all my gifts from now on will be homemade. Everyone loved it and felt so loved and appreciated, because they saw the gift of thought and time put into each basket. I already have packets of seeds I saved from my garden, small jars of dried herbs, a mini jars of honey from our bees. I'll be adding some of these treats and creams! Thank you so much! God Bless you! ❤
I am soooooooo glad I found your channel. You have soooooooo much to offer and I am soaking it in. These pre-made gift ideas are exactly what I've been looking for and you have so many (all in one place!). Thank you so much Mary and may God continue His blessings upon you.
Mary, you are so thorough and so clear explaining everything. You are a wonderful teacher... truly gifted. ❤👍🤗🌼. All your links and info makes everything so much easier for the beginners like me. Ive changed so much in my kitchen because of you. My husband and daughter..even my dogs are benefiting from your hard work. So exciting to see you coming up on 1M subs.🎉 The Holy Spirit works thru you sweet Mary to bring all of us such blessings ❤
Dear Mary thank you for all you share with us. There is no way to watch your videos start to finish without reflecting your beautifull smile and gentle way. I look forward to making the marmalade! I have your new spiral bound book! ❤
Everyone needs to have your cookbook it is amazing. It is a great gift for those young Brides for those going out on their own. Everyone should have this book
Thankyou for talking about her book. Very reasonably priced. Would not be without that book. Highly, highly recommend. Esp at this time of year. So well written and organized. This book is one if my cooking treasures. It is offered on Amazon. Lots of cooking ideas. We see your efforts and are grateful, Mary
Thank you Mary!! A lightbulb went on when you said I could dry/dehydrate my bone broth because my little senior dog needs collagen for her joints/back problem/knee problem! I love your idea of making bone broth 'powder' so I can add a little spoon of it too her food at each meal!
I love how you sorted the gifts by time and difficulty. I look forward to making some of these. I enjoy giving homemade gifts, especially with items I already have.
I've used the chicken carcass from the roast dinners for years to make my own stock but i had NO IDEA i could dehydrate it to create a bouillon. I just love that you share so much useful information and techniques. Thank you so much for taking us on this journey and supporting us every step of the way.
I went to order your book last night on Amazon. It is a gift from my husband for my birthday. WOW! I was surprised to find it buy 2 get 1 free. I ordered mine, 1 for my granddaughter for Christmas and I'll have another for a spare gift. So blessed. Thank you sweet Mary.
Oh, Mary! I didn't know you had a video on how to make vegetable bouillon! I'm definitely going to make that - both for myself and my oldest son!! This video is so helpful!!
Oh Wow! Fourth-Burner Pot. So THAT's what that little pot is! I received a little pot as a Christmas gift awhile back that looked like some sort of mini-deep fat fryer, but was really much too small for that. Unfortunately, the wonderful person who gifted it to me became ill and passed away before the gift was ever opened and never got to tell me anything about it. Now I know and can finally put it to good use. THANK YOU!
I am allergic to the MSG / hydrolyzed protein / yeast extract in broths / soup bases. For years I have searched for one without these ingredients but have yet to find one. So, thank you, Mary, for teaching me how to make my own at home.
I actually believe that you are clairvoyant because every time I think about maybe I should learn how to do this or that, I go to your channel and a beautiful, well explained tutorial pops up when I begin my search! Thank you so much I cannot wait to make these!! I will be doing so this Christmas and for my home! Your hubby is very fortunate!
Greatest information ever! So many ideas . Thank you Mary for all your hard work . This must have taken hours on hours for you to put together. Thank you again. You are so appreciated.
Wonderful video! So enjoy having you on while I'm making baked goods for gifts! So very pleasant to listen to your soft voice and you're so encouraging! God bless! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I was raised by my grandma who grew up on a farm in the depression so I know most of this but! I have a heck of a time showing my daughter how to do it (and letting her lol) so I'm buying your book for her and getting the school one for my almost here grandson 😊😊😊
Hi Mary, thanks for the great ideas! Just finished home canned goods gift baskets and Amaryllis bulb gifts. So much fun. Question about apple cider vinegar. You said once I made the mother I could skip the whole fermentation with scraps process by adding to the mother. What exactly should I be adding? Water, apple juice, …? Thanks!
Please forgive me. I don’t remember saying that. When making apple “scrap” cider vinegar, you do need apples or scraps, and in actuality, you don’t need the mother. You can put it in, but it will develop naturally when making the vinegar. Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
I never comment BUT, i truely needed these recipes for my health. Here in western mass it is very fifficult to find any prepared food without hfcs(high fructose corn syrup). Since i am intolerant to corn of all kinds including cornstarch, hfcs, corn flour: baking powder contains corn starch and english muffins are made with it but iys not in the ingredients due to the corn not being in the dough and just used as a starch outside the dough to keep it from sticking to baking sheet: Juices contain hfcs and cocoa has dehydrated hfcs. I know that i am not alone in this journey so I am so glad that you have all these options for recipes that are so easy for everyone.
Wow, thanks for all the great inspiration for holiday gifts. My "sweet son" bought me your cookbook and I am really enjoying it. The best compliment I can give it is that it already has a few spots on it which can be found in all my favorite cookbooks. ;)
Mary, my commute was extra long tonight, but it was such a pleasure listening to you that I didn’t even mind the bumper-to-bumper traffic! 😂 Wishing you and your family the best. ❤
I bought two of those books during the sale “Buy one get one half off” and I am SO happy I did. I am newer to things kitchen and homemade. The book was well put together and things were easily explained. It covered a little of everything it seemed. I also enjoyed the notes Mary took the time to add aside as well. ♥️ Would be a gift I would’ve loved to receive but instead I bought two so I can forward one when I find someone fitting for it ❤
Oh Mary I love this!!! I wish I was sitting there with you!!!! A very Happy Holiday!!!! I love your apron! Did you say homemade beauty Creams?????????? I shall keep watching!!! xxoo Much Love, Susan
I have elderberry syrup simmering on the stove as I watch this video. I used star anise, Ceylon cinnamon sticks and rose hips. I learned of the elderberry syrup from you and got the idea to add the star anise from another video of yours. I hope you think adding it was okay. Love your videos and recipes.
I loved your gift ideas! I have been purchasing supplies and assembling my recipes or instruction lists for the last month in an effort to be ready to tackle my gift giving list. I even have some of your mix recipes ready to go. I’m on a mission to eliminate the store bought creamer. I purchased a package of hazelnut powder from Azure Standard. It’s only ingredient is hazelnuts grown in the US. I’m wondering if this might work for flavoring the creamer for those who like the hazelnut flavor. I purchased this to use in baking but now plan to try using in flavoring a homemade creamer. Hope this finds you doing well. Thank you for the video.
Hazelnut extract with a bit of vanilla would probably work better. I just mix mine into dry ingredients with processor or blender after the dry mix is made.
Thank you for all of the great ideas, Mary. I was able to use the mock mill discount before it went away. It’s on its way to my home as we speak! It’s my first grain mill and it’s going to be fun learning to use it and making bread with whole grain which will be another first for me. Wish me luck! 🤞😂
I find that adding some vital wheat gluten to the whole wheat flour makes for a softer bread and a stronger dough. Also some people add a bit of white flour. I use unbleached all-purpose, maybe half a cup. Sometimes it's difficult to get the entire family to accept whole wheat bread. With these 2 additions, I found my family's happy medium. Also, if you want to keep the fiber content up, some wheat bran can be added. I find it adds fiber, without adding a "hard" mouth feel.
I always love your videos. I’m giving my granddaughter a copy of your cookbook for Christmas. She has asked for wooden spoons. Do you recommend any particular kind? I have bamboo ones I like, but wanted your recommendation. Thanks so much 🙏
Dietary restrictions love your videos, and I am in process of moving to a traditional kitchen, I have a question wondering if all of your mixe recipes are in your book
Some of these recipes are in the book like the bouillon and there will definitely be more in my next upcoming book. Plus, I'll be doing a follow-up video where I go through my new cookbook chapter by chapter showing you everything that it's in it. Love, Mary
Thank you for the great new ideas. My daughter and I have given these types of gifts for years. Some we’ve not thought of before, so thanks. We usually give Vanilla Spiced Rum (we age it minimum 1 yr.) or Hot Pepper Vodka ( for Bloody Mary’s . Depending on the person, the 8 oz vanilla turns into a cocktail 😂. We order custom adhesive labels and keep them on hand. Also, we have canned our family’s Ragu and given it with a nice imported pasta. Thanks again.
Thanks Mary, awesome ideas! What about grinding up hazelnuts into a powder to add in for the hazelnut flavor? Would the oil in the nuts damage the milk powder? What about just putting them on the side to add in separately? 🤔
Torani makes a liquid & natural tasting hazlenut syrup. Either with or without sugar. Love it in my coffee. They have many flavors. Would be good to flavor cookies! Going to try the raspberry. Smart & Final has biggest variety here in Calif. Wal-mart has some
I drank some whipping cream recently because we werer ut of milk. Was sick for 3 days Especially not good with acid reflux or chest hernias. Hope this prevents others from doung this and getting sick
Hi Mary, I haven't commented on one of your videos for quite a while but this one needs a comment. I haven't watched it all yet, I'm doing a couple of things at the same time, but this is. Perfect timing, of course you know that 😅. I will watch the rest later but had to stop and comment about how you always know what I want when I need it. So many times I have an ingredient or want to know how to do something and your video shows up with that exact thing, I'm not sure how you do it, it's uncanny sometimes. I was thinking the other day about making homemade food related gifts and once again you showed up on time. My favorite memory is the beef tallow face cream 😂😂😂😂😂. Anyway thanks for this video today. Charlotte
Thanks for sharing. During Black Friday got some more Malta items from Totally Bamboo. Have what I need to transcribe. Having trouble with the beginner sites. For the first one, I couldn't get the practice audio to play and they didn't have one for me to test with. For the second, I couldn't figure out what I should charge. For the third, so far haven't passed the test. For the fourth, I applied. Need to make money to take a verification course that will build me a website to find clients. Then hopefully save money for the metal house kit.
You can waterbath in any pot that is tall enough to fit something to keep your jars off the bottom, the jars and enough water to completely cover the jars
Im a multi tasker, which means i do things unequally inconsistant. But its the best way to get me up and at it. Do you have videos where you can make two or three separate food stuffs, in the same day. The broth recipe seems to be a multitasking deal. Roasting a bunch of meat then roasting the bones, making the broth, then set to drying it for bullion. At the end, cleaning the kitchen. Am i being too optimistic?
Every year, our precious neighbors on both sides give us the yummiest tamales. This year, i would like to make something nice for both famlies (If i hold up,,)
Curious, does anyone know what she is talking about re not feeling right about leaving the oven door propped open? Is she talking about gas stoves or all stoves?
That microfiber company has just copied what Norwex has done, except Norwex imbeds its fibers with microsilver to sanitize the cloth. Norwex has been around for possibly 20 years, maybe a few less.
Hi Mary I wonder if you buy subscribers because you have close to a million subscribers but hardly any views. Maybe around 5k views. What's up with that?
Oh heavens no! I have never bought subscribers. That would be terrible to do. I teach a broad variety of nutrient dense cooking classes. Some viewers might only be interested in one area such as bone broth. While others may only be interested in ferments. But as you will see, many of my videos overtime, grow to receiving 1 million views as viewers decide to come back and learn a new skill once they master one traditonal foods skill area. My subject matter is evergreen - as opposed to sensational - so views grow overtime - often over years. Hope this help you understand the process of video views to subscribers ratio. Love, Mary

Hi mary. I'm just starting my journey with you. I just got your book and I've made your bread, rolls and made your sauerkraut. Thank you and god bless.
WOW!! Thank you SO much!! Love, Mary
We bought your cookbook for our public library in GA. ❤
I love your cookbook thanks
Hi Mary, I love all your videos. Thank You for these amazing ideas!! I'll be baking bread as gifts this year
I’m so inspired, thank you Mary!!
You are so welcome!
Wow, thanks for all the great inspiration for holiday gifts. My "sweet son" bought me your cookbook and I am really enjoying it. The best compliment I can give it is that it already has a few spots on it which can be found in all my favorite cookbooks. ;)
Wow!! Thank you!! ❤️🤗❤️
Great gift ideals.
Mary, my commute was extra long tonight, but it was such a pleasure listening to you that I didn’t even mind the bumper-to-bumper traffic! 😂 Wishing you and your family the best. ❤
I have enjoyed this book so much, I just ordered one for my sister for Christmas!
WOW!! Wonderful! And thank you so much!! Love, Mary
I bought two of those books during the sale “Buy one get one half off” and I am SO happy I did. I am newer to things kitchen and homemade. The book was well put together and things were easily explained. It covered a little of everything it seemed. I also enjoyed the notes Mary took the time to add aside as well. ♥️
Would be a gift I would’ve loved to receive but instead I bought two so I can forward one when I find someone fitting for it ❤
That is awesome! And thank you SO much for all the kind words!! Love, Mary
Fantastic!
Love all you share, thank you so much! You are a national treasure Mary!! ❣❣
Oh my goodness!! Thank you SO much!! Love, Mary
Oh Mary I love this!!! I wish I was sitting there with you!!!! A very Happy Holiday!!!! I love your apron! Did you say homemade beauty Creams?????????? I shall keep watching!!! xxoo Much Love, Susan
Hi Susan!! Thanks for visiting!! Love following you!! Love, Mary
Love you my Sister who can cook!!!!@@MarysNest
I have an excellent dehydrator but I find the oven works better for drying bone broth.
Yes indeed!
Fantastic idea!! Love, Mary
That hazelnut powder might work! ❤️🤗❤️
Hazelnut extract with a bit of vanilla would probably work better. I just mix mine into dry ingredients with processor or blender after the dry mix is made.
Hi Mary, I commented earlier but wanted you to know I just ordered your new cookbook. It's a Christmas gift to me from me. 💃💃💃💃💃💃
Oh Charlotte!! WOW!! Thank you!! Love, Mary
Oh Mary, if you figure out that hazelnut creamer...♥
Will try!
Hi Pamela, Hope you enjoy it! And you will do great!! Love, Mary
@@OrlaQuirk Thanks for the tips!
I always love your videos. I’m giving my granddaughter a copy of your cookbook for Christmas. She has asked for wooden spoons. Do you recommend any particular kind? I have bamboo ones I like, but wanted your recommendation. Thanks so much 🙏
Wow! Thank you! As to wooden spoons, I think the bamboo ones are a great option. Love, Mary.❤️🤗❤️
Mary can you use redmonds or himalayan salt for these recipes?
Definitely. Just make sure you use their fine ground version. Love, Mary
Love, Mary
Love from Morocco
Thank you for the great new ideas. My daughter and I have given these types of gifts for years. Some we’ve not thought of before, so thanks. We usually give Vanilla Spiced Rum (we age it minimum 1 yr.) or Hot Pepper Vodka ( for Bloody Mary’s . Depending on the person, the 8 oz vanilla turns into a cocktail 😂.
We order custom adhesive labels and keep them on hand. Also, we have canned our family’s Ragu and given it with a nice imported pasta.
Thanks again.
Wonderful!
Hi Mary I was wondering do you make your lovely aprons ❤️
I don't but you can probably find this on amazon - just search Christmas toile apron. Love, Mary
Thanks Mary, awesome ideas! What about grinding up hazelnuts into a powder to add in for the hazelnut flavor? Would the oil in the nuts damage the milk powder? What about just putting them on the side to add in separately? 🤔
I think it would work and if you kept it in the fridge, I think it would be fine. Great idea!! Love, Mary
If you ground the hazelnuts and freeze dried them it might work!
Could you dehydrate hazel nuts and then grind them into a powder?
That is a very clever idea! I would definitely try it!! Love, Mary
Charlotte
Hi Charlotte, how about that!! we are on the same wavelength!! Love, Mary ❤️🤗❤️
I do my jam with fruit sugar and lemon only
My hero❣️😋
You can waterbath in any pot that is tall enough to fit something to keep your jars off the bottom, the jars and enough water to completely cover the jars
Yes indeed!
Where can I find the videos to these items?
Im a multi tasker, which means i do things unequally inconsistant. But its the best way to get me up and at it. Do you have videos where you can make two or three separate food stuffs, in the same day. The broth recipe seems to be a multitasking deal. Roasting a bunch of meat then roasting the bones, making the broth, then set to drying it for bullion. At the end, cleaning the kitchen. Am i being too optimistic?
Not at all. You can do it! Love, Mary
@@MarysNest God bless you and your ministry here. God bless your family at Christmas and always. Thank you for encouraging words.
Every year, our precious neighbors on both sides give us the yummiest tamales. This year, i would like to make something nice for both famlies
(If i hold up,,)
Hello Mary. HOLIDAY GREETINGS. I have missed your videos! Had a new phone and lost everyone for a while. I am back.
Best,
Kim
Is it possible to dehydrate the hazelnut liquid and then turn the dehydrated liquid into a powder? That way it could be used in the creamer. Hmm
Curious, does anyone know what she is talking about re not feeling right about leaving the oven door propped open? Is she talking about gas stoves or all stoves?
Hi Lisa, I worry about children being around it. Love, Mary
@@MarysNest thank you.
❤️😊👍
❤
Sorry but where are you referring to when mentioning the "videos" and "recipes"?
That microfiber company has just copied what Norwex has done, except Norwex imbeds its fibers with microsilver to sanitize the cloth. Norwex has been around for possibly 20 years, maybe a few less.
Thanks for sharing Janice. I was not familiar with Norwex but thanks for filling me in! Love, Mary
Love, Mary
Thank you, Mary! I love your videos!!!
