My moms grandmother also came to Pakistan from india a sikh helped her she was very small so he made her stay in his house for a long time she had no one his brother father and mother was killed only his father's brother and his family was alive because they were living in lahore at that time and he contacted to India and later found my moms grandmother she is still alive she doesn't remember stuff like her own son or daughter but remembers everything that happened to her sge said before the Sikh took her in his house a woman applied something red on her forehead so the people there won't kill her.

Partition was good, but the only mistake was who supported two nations on the basis of religion. All of them are still living in bharat and playing victim card as minority. As immigrants from india are not treated well in Pakistan and not much accepted as well

My ancestors moved from Sindh to India during partition and I don't have any kind of favourable attitude for Pakistan but it's pretty obvious that older generation which saw partition through their eyes have a soft corner but they are citizens of their own country and work there and contribute towards their country. I don't have any favourable view of Pakistan's government but maybe a soft corner for sindhis. Partition was a blessing for India and people like me and none of the immigrants from Pakistan in India are treated unwell. I did not face any discrimination and just treated like a normal citizen
