  • It's always a tough decision when equipment needs to be replaced. Not only does it cost a lot of money but there is also a choice of what brand to buy! And everyone has an opinion. This is the choice I made. Invariably some will like it and some will hate it. Enjoy!

Your hard work and focus on customer satisfaction has been blessed by God and allowed you to expand your business with some new equipment. The guy talking about New Holland being 75% in the Midwest. I’m not trashing the machine but I’ve never seen anyone running them before in construction or landscaping, other then a few farmers and they’re way old normally.
And bobcat does have hand and foot still lol. It’s just stripped down versions but still nice machine $72k off the lot with taxes and dirt bucket here in Central MN.
Either way awesome purchase can’t wait to see it working, I’m not set on brand either I’m huge on service (bobcat service 🗑) Cat service 💎) never dealt with others

It's boneheaded to put filters horizontal. Vertical mountings reduce spillage. Personally I had a JD 320, was foot and hand controls. But after getting a 333G, the joystick is great, faster etc. I am not brand loyal, but I found it odd New Holland had that little window in the way of the door? Horizontal mounting of the filter, and why they made access to that bolt to lift the cab in a goofy spot. If I were to go to another brand id go ASV, only because they offer more hp, and are forestry oriented.

Congratulations on the the new equipment. I always got a charge dealing with the fleet guy. I feel new equipment helps with company image. After purchase of new equipment, the liftgate and infill for the installation vehicles, and infill for the service fleet, then the lettering shop, then to the computer shop for electronic inventory control, customer printouts and downloads to the office, then out into the field never to be driven by me again. Installation vehicles park at the yard, service guys drove them home for direct dispatch to first call. The setup would take a couple of weeks or more before I saw it again. I always enjoyed the purchase and dispatch of new equipment. I am now retired and enjoying watching you expanding your business. We started with two in 1963 and sold in 2011 with 85 crew out of two locals.
Enjoy this time in your life. Always remember, "We are working today to provide for our retirement tomorrow."

Ryan, that New Holland will treat you well. I have been a professional operator for 33 years 26 of them owning an excavation and grading business here in Upstate NY. I can honestly say I have operated just about every brand of skid steer on the market. They are a solid machine. In fact I have a wheeled 2003 ls170 in my fleet with over 5000hrs. I have done almost nothing to it. A hydraulic charge sensor, a glow plug solenoid, and one of the foot pedals rusted out. Thats it. And the pedal was our fault because we let dirt build up down in there, when it should have been washed out.

Hard work pays off. Fun tools to use next year. Something to look forward too. Time to make some money.

I feel the same way, however resale and the fact that WE are getting older joystick is easier if you have run it any extended period of time

As someone who runs a business as well. If a company has equipment available to purchase off there lot in this economy it tells you something. I preordered my bobcat skid steer last year and I’m barely receiving it. I don’t know much to speak of the new holand brand but 80,90 thousand on a skid. These machines take a big beating. I hope I don’t look like the negative person in your comments, I just want you to purchase something of quality and durability in the long run! Happy for the victory crew for making a new purchase for the business to grow!!

Need some semi-covered parking at least for the new equipment. Keep them babies shining.

Hi Ryan. I have a New Holland LS 170 HERE IN Australia. Obviously a lot older than your fancy looking machine, but absolutely bullet proof and tough. You should have a good run with it.
