The biggest girlgroup in the world!" And it seems never gonna come idk whyy until.... TODAY! So i was shook honeyyy. It's the only group where every one of them are successful as soloists i mean each of them have over 500 million streams on their solo songs and with 3 having 1 billion streams 4 solo mv's over 500 million views with 3 over 1 billion views

Their debut was much anticipated coming from their company and they rose to the top extremely fast, which imo made the company think they can shelf them however long they want and people will still tune in. The "one song a year" formula could have worked if they were touring, doing other things or even working on their solo careers, but after DDDD they got so lazy with them. It also got tiring how EVERYTHING they released was produced by the same guy. Every group song, every solo up until Flower. And it was good music, it was what was trending, up until around 2020 when people actually started to move forward (there was a big disco resurface and bp came with yet again the same beat) and got tired of being teased and fed scraps. Are we getting a song this year, are we not, is the album finally coming? And when it actually came it was, well, half assed. It did well, but anything they'll put will propably do, because people will come check it out once which gives the company the illusion they're doing so good. I'm curious to see how they do this year tho, after what, two years when we got 5 songs, after what, another two years we got like 8? And they were THE FULL ALBUMS. Yg had a diamond on their hands, but once again failed to read the market.
This is so perfectly articulated! Bp's management is holding them SO far back. Which is why i'm so happy they decided to go solo with their own respective companies, we're getting so much music now.
Definitely very interesting to see how each member is adapting to the solo career niche. I simply can’t wait for JENNIE’s album though, because the features sound incredibly promising. Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dua Lipa, Dominic Fike, Kali Uchis… it’s safe to say that out of all the girls who are dropping albums JENNIE is the most exciting IMHO at least
I feel like Rosé’s blockbuster success with Apt made a lot of people more interested in the girls solo careers in general. No other kpop star has a hit this huge in the western market and of course Bruno Mars had an impact in its success but Rosé’s contribution can’t be denied. It was also just a really smart move on her end to launch her solo career with a song like Apt that sets her apart from the bp sound and has a huge feature on it.
I just HOPE AND PRAY they come back together again someday! 😭 I really only got to experience the born pink comeback as a newer fan before they went on hiatus. I love their solo work tho and will continue to support the girls no matter what they release! I really can’t wait to hear Jennie release a song that shows off her vocals cuz omg that girl can siiiing and we have really barely heard it because she mostly does rapping. Jisoo needs a proper solo album for this reason too, her vocals are so consistent and honestly slept on.

By seeing their solo projects, we can definitely see how YG Entertaiment didn’t want them to show their artistry. Now that they left the company, we can see how creative they are. Having 32 songs in 8 years of career while being a group is so unfair
Honestly seeing them all have solo projects has me wondering how did yg get them to work in a group . Cuz even when they were blackpink I thought they work but they don’t work at the same time like if they were only together and performed for a year and then disbanded I could see all them thrive as solo artist . And now that they all have solo projects it just shows how truly opposite they kinda are of eachother from musical genres to style to performance to music videos . Another thing that showed me how diffent they are from eachother was when they all individually signed a fashion deal to diffrent fashion brands then eachother . Maybe I could be wrong but when a group works with a fashion brand usually the whole group works with that one fashion brand
I also get confused how😅 they work w each other. About the fashion deal. It is or was a notion I think of a bit ago where groups got generally signed to a brand but it now got way too common example 4th Gen n stuff. I think it was yg who push them all solo in brand deals to maximize profits. Fun fact , I live seeing them solo rather than group for fashion where they all can shine without getting compared ( by me or others😅)
I think they are all talented, hardworking girls who are passionate about their craft and they have a great friendship that translates to their chemistry as a group
Ooo… I kinda wish you waited a couple months cos Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie are dropping their albums soon (maybe they’ll be a part 2 video?) 👀 Anyways… they all made a great decision not to renew with YGE for their solo careers
that wasn’t a good video i’m sorry. you didn’t talk about any jennie releases after ‘solo’ which has been out for 6 years bro. she literally has a collab with the weeknd with over 1.5 billion streams???? you didn’t mention that at all. she also has other new songs and an album coming up with festures like kali uchiis and dua lipa. for your knowledge since you didn’t mention any of that.
@Abdul_Rahmann99 she did in her solo fanmeet Abdul 🙄 Also, people kept saying the song has no meaning and yet it's packed with symbolism. Saying "yeah the mv means something but not the song" as if the MV is not meant to represent the song itself.
On the blackpink topic Lisa was dragged by some racist K-pop fans for years for being Thai and having darker skin. Now that she shows no interest in them they are upset and telling Korean brands not to work with her because she’s been collabing with Western artists and brands.
interesting watching a kpop video that doesn't have a ton of info on theYG Label. After BP worked their butts off for the first few years of their career, YG slowed down their released. Out of all the girl groups that have been out for 7 years, they only have 32 songs in total as Blackpink. When BP was on tour in their earlier days, Jennie can be heard saying, "I wish we had more songs so we could keep performing". Of course when the members left YG (solo contracts, they are still BP under YG), we can now actually see their work. I wouldn't say that BP was allowed to showcase their talent as majority if not all of their songs were made by Teddy. The members didn't do a lot in the sense of contributing to lyrics or producing as YG most likely wouldn't allow it. There is a lot of debate now that YG groups are constantly reusing concepts onto their newer groups like Baby Monster and Meovv (black label that Teddy runs that Rose signed onto for solo activites). I hope i am not coming across as someone who thinks the members of BP aren't talented. They ARE talented, they needed this freedom to finally express themselves instead of having the overbearing YG label that stops them from releasing. Jennie just release "Zen" as another single from her upcoming album Ruby. I am very interested to see how much involvement Jennie contributes
Hmmm i wanna see what they have in store but we've seen it for years now with them. Their fans are so rabbid that they'll support and blast whatever they put out. No matter how bad, generic, or boring it is. It's very aggravating. Their fans before the hiatus kept saying "oh they're growing and getting better" but this is the first piece of progress and change I've seen from them in years. I wanna be excited for them and get behind them as a group but i can't be because even with that bit of growth it's still just not as impressive as other kpop groups from that time and hell NEWER kpop groups (ateez being the most blatant one) are progressing faster and evolving more than blackpink has with a way smaller fanbase and way less time than bp. I feel like stans like blinks stunt the growth of groups rather than let them change or evolve. And i know people wanna blame YG for ww2 happening but sometimes the fans have to acknowledge that when they support and praise slop they're going to constantly get slop. I think their solo endeavors especially jennie and rosé have been mostly promising and something different. I really hope they don't come back and fall into the current kpop streaming bs with songs that are only 2 choruses and no bridge.
Bad, generic or boring FOR YOUR PERSONAL TASTE. Stop acting, like your musical taste it's the world's standard. Don't vibing with their music? Ok. Everyone has the different taste.
Then go stan other groups??? Idk why yall feel like you’re being forced to tune into bp every time they release something. And all groups and popular artists have stans that are overbearing and will endlessly stream their music. It happens all across the board in all popular music genres. And while yes it’s infuriating, it’s also inevitable at this point. Just listen to the music you like and move on????
Comments like this are exhausting tho Imagine if everyone put this much effort into a group they liked BP is a group that wasted lot of their potential under YG. They could have been like gidle or bts. Giving out different creative projects but that didn't happen What was the point of this comment? If u find that groups r doing so much better and have progressed faster. Then go support them. There r plenty of other groups. If this is something u can't get past by. Then why look into their projects to be constantly disappointed. Almost like u want to be mad all the time. Most people don't waste time on groups they don't like While u might have not liked their songs as a group plenty of people loved and adored it so why insult those fans and call them names? Is a blink someone inferior? All stans do this for a popular grp I personally love blackpink and am excited for their careers but of course there has to be a doomsday comment or something to undermine them
Tbh, i think BP should've disbanded when they had the chance. It's pretty obvs they're more passionate abt being solo artists (or being an actress in Jisoo's case) than being kpop idols. There's nothing wrong w that ofc. Continuing as BLACKPINK out of obligation rather than from a passion would be fine so long as it didn't impact their music or performances. However, these past couple years they've continued to scarcely release music, with only a whopping 2 official comebacks from 2020 til now in 2025 (the average kpop group makes a comeback at least twice a YEAR btw). This could at least be defendable if their music made up for this, but imo it doesn't. They never go beyond the status quo of what's expected out of them, which for a group that's supposedly leading the industry, isn't acceptable. If they disbanded back in 2023, they could've left the industry with their legacy still intact. But now...if something doesn't change, ppl r gonna start questioning their legitimacy. This was all to say tht I act do enjoy their solo music. I js wished they wrapped up their careers as kpop idols 1st since it no longer seems to be a priority.
Jisoo is also an actress focused on the Korean market and has been in multiple acting projects and a series where she stars is about to premier as well
What are y’all talking about, idk why in every video abt blackpink they say that they didn’t resign their contracts, BUT THEY DID. Yall need to do more research smh…
Jisoo is focusing on acting, she made her acting debut in a kdrama, and apparently there’s a new show coming out from Amazon prime called “Newtopia” it’s like a zombie/comedy/ drama thing and she’s in it lol im so happy for her
I've read that Jisoo is more interested in acting endeavors, and I'm just one person, but her music never reached me. However, the rest of the ladies are putting out work that is impossible to ignore. I love watching Jennie's videos, she is such a great visual artist. I caught onto Lisa's two singles about a month after everyone else, then had them on repeat for like two weeks. But Rose's album is my favorite. I can listen to Rosie all day every day, it just fits any mood.

Her mini album is coming out on feb 14 . Tittle is “Amor montage "
She is the first one coming out with an album this year!! Her new album name is Amortage!!❤❤
Absolutely agree, i wish i could hear her voice more
Fr I've always wanted to hear more of Jisoo's voice. Its always good to hear her sing and I think she has a lot of potential if she utilize her voice properly.
@@Dred0n Yes!! She is an amazing Vocalist!! People sleep on her talents for some reason! I am sure she is going to rock 2025 with her new album!!
Blackpink star power, charisma and ability to attract fans is more impressive than their music probably only girl group in histroy that all members are very successful
I Love Blackpink as a Group, but seeing them Succeed as Solo acts is Amazing!!! It just further proves Their Global Impact… Once all of their albums are released, I’m excited to see how their Solo journeys affect their overall sound as Group next comeback!
Honestly i didn't expect this like... at all. I know you been mentioning BP (BLACKPINK) before in a video but i always be waiting like "gurll where's the video on them then!? The biggest girlgroup in the world!" And it seems never gonna come idk whyy until.... TODAY! So i was shook honeyyy. It's also interesting to see that BP literally got the strongest relationship/chemistry among all of the big group in the world especially in the 2010s, look at 5H (messy breakup, lackluster performance, flop solo career beside camilla, racism), One D (messy breakup, fights among member, no sense of brotherhood, so divided, flop solo career beside harry), and LM (messy breakup, delusional member, blackfishing, flop solo career on all of em). All of em got spiralling down (literally) after announcing hiatus/a member left, but here we're seeing BP is still thriving and still intact🔥
Unfortunately Liam is no more 😢💔
they're even videocalling as a 4 when they release something, their bond is amazing
It's the only group where every one of them are successful as soloists i mean each of them have over 500 million streams on their solo songs and with 3 having 1 billion streams 4 solo mv's over 500 million views with 3 over 1 billion views
@@pheni0X-x1n *it's the only group* THAT'S THE KEY WORD. Louder for the people in the backkk!!!! 🔥👏🏻 they won't admit it but like Mo Heart (drag queen) said: "FACTS ARE FACTS!!"
I really like blackpink and I am even liking them more as soloists , it's nice to see what every member has to give and personally I feel they all are slaying
Oh you called the k-pop stans and here i am
Definitely very interesting to see how each member is adapting to the solo career niche. I simply can’t wait for JENNIE’s album though, because the features sound incredibly promising. Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dua Lipa, Dominic Fike, Kali Uchis… it’s safe to say that out of all the girls who are dropping albums JENNIE is the most exciting IMHO at least
they've produced more songs within a span of couple of months than yg has ever done since 2016
I feel like Rosé’s blockbuster success with Apt made a lot of people more interested in the girls solo careers in general. No other kpop star has a hit this huge in the western market and of course Bruno Mars had an impact in its success but Rosé’s contribution can’t be denied. It was also just a really smart move on her end to launch her solo career with a song like Apt that sets her apart from the bp sound and has a huge feature on it.
So happy to see all of their Solo careers are thriving
It is hard when a group fragments and one member is only popular or active
😢
I just HOPE AND PRAY they come back together again someday! 😭 I really only got to experience the born pink comeback as a newer fan before they went on hiatus. I love their solo work tho and will continue to support the girls no matter what they release! I really can’t wait to hear Jennie release a song that shows off her vocals cuz omg that girl can siiiing and we have really barely heard it because she mostly does rapping. Jisoo needs a proper solo album for this reason too, her vocals are so consistent and honestly slept on.

I tell you as a Blink since pre-debut 😅 we've never had it this good til now for the output of the girls' music
Their discography doubled in a span of a single year..idk if i should laugh or cry 😂
Thankyou for this❤🎉
2:19 lisa is the LEAD rapper and the MAIN dancer, so shes technically the dancer ??
Yeah ! That's why she's facing problem with vocals. She's a very good rapper and the best performer in blackpink.
Her position are - main dancer , lead rapper , sub vocalist !
Blackpink is probably the only KPOP group in history to have all members be iconic and successful soloist as well as an establish group all together...

its absolutely killing me for years how yg is NOT USING BLACKPINK
mamamoo too i followed them as a group for a long time but my fave has always been hwasa
honestly blackpink shouldnt have a comeback as a group at all imo, i have this feeling that only blinks will support them anymore after their current 3 years hiatus and all the work and time spent on the group comeback will interfere with their solo career momentum
YG still wants to promote them as a group, nothing we can do lol
But they said they still want to make music as a group as well besides pursuing their solo careers.
Jisoo is about to drop an album too!
Queen Lisa ❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Always knew these girls were the one. they're all super talented and hardworking. If they come back as a group that's great and if they don't, they deserve everything for their solo careers
From what I hear they are supposed to return as a group this year with new music and will be going on a world tour.
an honest video dedicated entirely to a K-pop group?? Also if you want to talk "inspiration" BLACKPINK are actually directly inspired by 2NE1 who were also a 4 member group known for their tough girl image and music some of which the demos ended up going to BLACKPINK.
Blackpink is too overrated tbh
So so excited for Jennie's solo album Ruby!
I’ve been waiting for your topic about kpop in western media for so long ❤
Most people soeculated that YG were trying to copy Sunmi's Gashina with Jennie's release, hence why it probably felt underwhelming.
I thought both songs were made by the same producer
It was the same producer@@sarahdidi
If we disregard charts and success
Their solo albums really have good songs and mostly because each member have songs which represent their unique style
Jennie is the group's rapper actually ( the main one ).. Lisa is the dancer.
i feel like they are better as soloist
not you saying jisoo is the posh spice of the group💀 love victoria beckham but jisoo can actually sing, with a deep and husky tone too. i understand you’re talking more about jisoo’s calmer personality compared to the other girls but lmao
“Toxic Till The End” DEFINITELY sounds like a Taylor Swift song.
More like a dupe of Taylor Swift song
Wasn’t expecting u to discuss about bp LUV IT
I was expecting Honest covering blackpink because blackpink was ever so famous and now they all have solo endeavors that are also popular in the west.
I feel like the fans carry this group completely. They almost made me not into Kpop from their lack of good music and being unable to dance. I was like this is this Kpop stuff? WTF. I’m so glad I looked around more and found people who could at least dance and not do this fake badass rap thing. This isn’t the girls’ fault though.
I think it’s good they are trying some other stuff bc I just don’t see Jennie as a kpop idol, she is gorgeous but shy and uncomfortable as a dancer. The other fav Lisa I see the same thing really just not shy but equally as a mess in the kpop dance realm.
Their solo music make their group discography sound so childish 😭 YG was holding them all back in every way possible.
I hope they all have a succesfull career as soloist❤
can u talk about bts next? it would be interesting to hear your thoughts
Army is a nasty fandom and they will attack him if he say something bad.
@@carmentaborda971 Why would he have to say something bad? He could just simply explain their solo endeavors like he did with Blackpink. He didn't saying anything bad in this video. Unless you count him saying Jisoo is the posh spice of the group as a bad thing. And every fandom has toxicity, it's not just ARMY.
@crystalsnow1138 the members aren't equally succesful outside the group. And army hates solos and are not interested in the solo careers, they just want the 2025 comeback. Army is too possesive and parasocial too, they harassed james corden and wished him death just for a joke.
@@carmentaborda971 Sure they might not be as successful as soloists as they are compared to the group, but I still think a video about their solo careers would be interesting. I hate solo stans, but I also know a lot of ARMY who appreciate all 7 members as soloists and would also love a video about them. And I personally don't condone anyone sending d-threats to anyone. YG Entertainment sucks. The fans will still not admit it to this day because they refuse to be wrong.
No, we know yg sucks. There’s a lot they could be doing better. The pinks know that too that’s why they took their solo careers elsewhere.
So many Lisa antis in the comment 😂😂 she’s really that girl stream born again on February 7 💋
APT being the hit people didn’t expect 😭
So happy I started stanning ❤
By seeing their solo projects, we can definitely see how YG Entertaiment didn’t want them to show their artistry. Now that they left the company, we can see how creative they are. Having 32 songs in 8 years of career while being a group is so unfair
I think it's your 1st time making video about kpop and international artist. I hope to see more. Thanks
Does honest reply to comments? I'd love to know what he thought of Zen
Me too, I wish he released some hours later just for zen😅
Jennie's album Ruby is coming on the 7th march with 6 collabs like Dua Lipa
Jennie is also the rapper of the group
Make a video on FLO next I wanna hear your thoughts on their album Access All Areas
Ooo… I kinda wish you waited a couple months cos Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie are dropping their albums soon (maybe they’ll be a part 2 video?) 👀
Anyways… they all made a great decision not to renew with YGE for their solo careers

Well, we did call it, YG held them back.
I love new woman, a think is an underrated song.
Cuz Lisa can’t sing it live lol

BLACKPINK MY BELOVEDSSS
I have faith that they would do even better with their solo work. I also like New Woman the most so far. Waiting for Jisoo’s music now
I'd love to hear your thoughts on MAMAMOO
A bit valid I guess but not all
Bad, generic or boring FOR YOUR PERSONAL TASTE.
Comments like this are exhausting tho
Imagine if everyone put this much effort into a group they liked
BP is a group that wasted lot of their potential under YG. They could have been like gidle or bts. Giving out different creative projects but that didn't happen
What was the point of this comment? If u find that groups r doing so much better and have progressed faster. Then go support them. There r plenty of other groups. If this is something u can't get past by. Then why look into their projects to be constantly disappointed. Almost like u want to be mad all the time. Most people don't waste time on groups they don't like
While u might have not liked their songs as a group plenty of people loved and adored it so why insult those fans and call them names?
Is a blink someone inferior?
All stans do this for a popular grp
I personally love blackpink and am excited for their careers but of course there has to be a doomsday comment or something to undermine them
make a new jeans videooooo 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Jisoo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I js wished they wrapped up their careers as kpop idols 1st since it no longer seems to be a priority.
blavkpink are so amazing
I'm most excited for Jennie's solo album. Shes not even my bias
