Hi and thanks for watching! This video was supposed to be posted some weeks ago, but some stuff happened and it got delayed. But now it's up anyway, hope you like it! Also, let me know what you think of the face cam! I'm still experimenting how to make the content a little more fun to watch so all feedback is helpful
I love the formatting of this video compared to your other ones. I like being able to see you "talk to us" instead of only hearing your voice. Great video and thanks for sharing your views!
i didnt finish the vid yet but im loving it so much. this motivated me sooo much to keep working on my channel im a very small channel and its challenging in the beginning. thank you for this brust of inspiration
I've not watched any Stranger Things so don't know the characters to tell how accurate they are, but I think they turned out well anyway. They look really cute! I think this set is great for this very vibrant cartoony style. I know that in my own supplies, the colours I use the most are light and mid tones. Or black. I struggle with shadow perception (adding shadow makes it harder for me to identify the object rather than easier, actually quite common in autistic people. I have a study linked on my tumblr blog about it)). So when it comes to colouring things in, I struggle with using darker tones for shadow. So a set like this is actually right up my alley. Unfortunately, that level of squeak is not. I am so glad that you edited that audio out for this video as just the small snippet you did include was too much for me to put up with. I remember having some cheap markers like that as a kid and they never got used due to the noise. And the barrel shape is not great either - I also hold my pens really close to the tip, can't get good control otherwise, so your comments on that are really helpful. Basically I feel like if they just swapped up the barrel shape and made the nibs less squeaky (or just do a version of these but with brush tips) the colour range in this would be great for someone like me. Otherwise... nope.
Oh Man!!! The sound of these markers drove me nuts!! The constant high pitch squeaking kept attracting my cats, and eventually, the box of 6 I had bought to try, were given to my niece for school.. The blending would have worked so much better had they been brush tipped, and I think they would have blended so much better, giving a smoother gradient. Your picture was amazing, you really gave the markers a workout lol! Thanks for Sharing.. 😊👍♥️
You should check out Jazza’s video on blending. He has great advice for getting deeper hues using grays and greens. Also, he explains the proper use of a blender really well
I got either the light green or the dull green in a sketchbox and I was really impressed with it so I'm sad looking at the range of the whole set, as I was kind of looking forward to these markers. I started with chameleon markers, so I liked having the 3 separate tones of exactly the same color because that's how I like to work with all alcohol markers. Sometimes even though they should be the same, copics don't always exactly match.
Beautifully done! I have one TriBlend marker, the light green tones, and I wish the shades were a little more different. The dark isn't different enough from the mid, in my opinion. Also, if they're only giving us one nib type and they're probably trying to save money not using the brush nibs, why not a chisel? I prefer the chisel nib on non-brush markers. You can still get very small details by turning it and using an edge or a corner, but they're faster and blending is smoother.
Beautiful. I love the way you keep on going, even it's difficult and hard and not your usual stuff... big compliments for that... greetings from the south... Belgium..
Omg I loved their friendship, awesome illustration. Also I got one of these in a sketchbox not too long ago and loved it, might have to invest in some more
I think this is one of my favorite videos, I really enjoyed how you edited this. It was great to see you, your hair looks amazing!! I really liked that you included some of your sketching in this video too. I love how this piece turned out, you did really well capturing their likeness in a cartoony style!
@@lole1326 i thinky theyre pretty good but the pigment is waaaaay darker than the marker is advertised as, it surprised me a bit, i wanted to know what professional artists think of it since I'm kind off iffy about them, they seem okay so far
Fairy Soul in my opinion they are good for their price however the tip wears out pretty quickly after use Also I agree that the colour is much darker than expected
@@Emily-jk8iv exactly thats what i was afraid of! but for beginning artist who are only just getting into it theyre great value for their price, though after a while id invest in promarkers or copics or the ones in this video
I like the face cam. I really enjoy watching your videos. I also wanted to mention that I love using markers myself, but I hate that squeaky sound that these markers make.
Well, first things first: to me, it's a bit wasteful of the brand to use so much plastic to wrap every marker individually when a lot of people are trying to decrease their plastic consumption, for one. Second, they do seem a bit too chunky! That must not have been too comfortable for you to use. I also agree that they didn't offer a lot of darker colours. But, all in all, your piece turned out really good! I really like the colours and the contrast between both characters!
I actually like these, do you think they are worth it to a beginner in alcohol markers? I mean, they cost around 60 dollars! But are refillable...but only having the bullet nib is a pain in the butt to paint larger areas and avoid striking. Also, I personally I'm already used to that shape because of some colored pencils I use.
Yeah, Katvalk is back, and O>M>G we can see you again, it's much better when your in the videos. You do yourself an injustice not being in them. I think you did really well with the markers made for giants hands; with the picture of the characters from stranger things turning out well. (it's a show I've been meaning to watch). Can't waiting to see the next video of giant sized products lol.
when the marker started squeaking i physically cringed, it was almost like nails on chalkboard. also, great video! i really enjoyed it, your voice is really nice to listen to while drawing
Just stopped the video to look if my Netflix have "stranger things"... so after this video... binge watching that... Btw it ends like..... nope... not gonna tell you... haven't watched it myself... lol
Argh, one of the worst pet peeves for me are squeaking markers on paper. How comes they sound so effing dry, tho they are not? This is really a turn-off to ever try out Spectrum Noir

I really liked the new format, with the facecam and all, it looks very profesional ;) and it makes it more engaging :D

Heck yeah! Cat girl is back 🐱
I really liked the Stranger Things drawing
Can we appreciate her hair for a moment? It looks so smooth and shiny, Also the length is so fitting for her.

When are more digital art videos (Procreate) coming? Great work Marie 🐱 Happy Painting 🖌️
Squeak-squeak-squeak-squeak! You are brave! I would tossed them after 5 minutes with that squeakiness 😂
Wow this video was 17 min long and I didn't even notice! I usually don't watch videos this long.
Great review ♥

Yay new video!!
You're back!!!
I love you're vids they are awesome!
It always makes me super happy when I see that you posted a video ❤️
Baylee Jae did a video on these and the colors look much better and more distinguishable in this video 🤔
You look great, girl! ♥
I don't know if there's a flying tiger in your country, but id love to hear what you think about their promarker-like markers that they sell?
Fairy Soul she lives in sweden and i do too and yes we have flying tiger and in my opinion they are kinda good 😂💞

Nice artwork :) Glad to see you‘re back and with face cam too! Haircut looks very good on you :)
I love everything about the art
You are so talented !
Oh shit those skin tones...are pretty good
Great video i really enjoyed it and might have to look for those markers
Love the hair! =D You look amazing ^.^ So glad to see an upload from you the picture came out great!

The darker colours were kept back for the 2nd pack of 24 they sell
Simple. Easy. Awesome
Considering you can get the box for as low as around 85 bucks, this is a steal!

and awesome video as always of course
Aw!!!! They are so cute!! ❤️❤️❤️
Omgg the one with a ponytail looks like eleven from stranger things and the read head looks like Maxine!
Oops never mind I just wrote that when I saw the thumbnail...soz!
I saw the intro
Art and cats
And I subscribed 😁
Because those are my two main drives in life! 😂😂😂👍👍👍
I much prefer chameleon markers even though most people think are difficult, they not to me!
Hi watching this in 2021, did you know these are now available with brush nib? Would love to see you use them if you have them ❤️🇦🇺
Why haven't you made any recent videos?
Great job
when the marker started squeaking i physically cringed, it was almost like nails on chalkboard. also, great video! i really enjoyed it, your voice is really nice to listen to while drawing
After awhile did those markers come unsquaking? After you blend couples times or are they just squeaking until they ran out? 😂
It would be cool if they sell these on Chile :c
Chameleon still the best with me!
tbh it is pretty fair that the markers only have one nib because of the way that the marker is
I missed you!
Love the Stranger Things art
I like the music
Lakey Inspired
I have huge hands so the chunky barrel works well for me
I would rather three copics than these markers..
1. More colors
2. Brush tips
3.i can show off
4.CoPiCs!!!
I am sorry to ask you this, but what liner did you use? I love brush pens and that one looks really great, but I can't tell what brand it is.
It’s a copic gasenfude real brush pen 😁
@@Kattvalk thank you so much! It looks awesome and the piece turned out incredible
The sweequing!!! Ooh my!
Just stopped the video to look if my Netflix have "stranger things"... so after this video... binge watching that...
Btw it ends like..... nope... not gonna tell you... haven't watched it myself... lol
Oh I breathed sorry... was I copying you?
Breathing is not really my thing, so no
@@Kattvalk I dont know what happened but this comment was meant for another video 😂 my phone must have messed up
Are you from sweden
You know these markers could be the best in the world but that awful noise just kills it idk how you make a whole video with them
You should include face cam in your videos more often!!
Thumbnail: “I dump you a*s..”
More like chameleon markers
apsdfapaosdhfa stop the squeakiness
I mean... pls
Hello comrade
😍🥰
Wow I’m early!
I’m probably the only person watching who hates cats lol
Any stranger things fans here? 👋UwU
First
Good for you
Pleas, shut up🙀
You cannot make chicken salad out of chicken shit... You need the right ingredients... always use the best art supplies...
