+TylightDark You also hear it during the revisit/invasion of Midgar where you get to fight Heidegger, Hojo, etc. I found these 2 instances to be exciting, so I definitely remember this theme. (Plus, I like listening to it on UA-cam) I'd think it'd stand out since it's the first theme you hear in the game, but I guess that depends on how much you like it.

I love the fact that the dev team watched this video anytime they were depressed about the state of the remake game, and through all the delays and hardships, this was the video that always reminded them of the fans. And I love that they invited Max behind stage at a Con that the demo was set up at and thanked him personally for inspiring them.

FF x Smash was such an unbelievable shock it’s like he’s questioning reality and stepping so far back that he has to comment on the concept of Video Games itself. God it just makes me so happy. I think Nair is the attack that hits Mega Man around 1:46 or so. Also, I think Blade Beam is Neutral B and Down B is Limit Break Charge (when in normal mode) and Finishing Touch (when in Limit Break mode). Otherwise, yeah, you basically got it. :)
want to point out that apparently a charged limit break also empowers Cloud's smashes - after showcasing the other three specials, Cloud looks what appears to be a modified up smash (three hits though)

I honestly like this guy's reaction better than Etika's. I feel like Etika was just flipping a shit to get some views, but this guy had a more genuine reaction. Instead of screaming like nuts, he was making good jokes throughout his reaction and even ended it on a hilarious note referencing the encounter with Cloud and Sephiroth. Truly, only Final Fantasy fans would know what he was talking about, as a good majority of the viewers of this probably did not catch the reference they made there. It was the first reaction video I saw of Cloud, but it was a damn good first one and my favorite of the bunch.

That would make more sense than us seeing the stars. Truthfully, if Nintendo is going to go all out on this fan service thing, the icing on the cake (pun intended) would be to start a trailer similarly with the "Super Smash Bros." title showing up, followed by a (very unexpected) "Wii U Only" warning as you hear the sound of a blizzard slowly increase in volume. It engulfs the warning and turns the screen completely white, followed by it zooming out and introducing a new Ice Climbers stage, alongside a slow camera panning of Popo, followed by Nana to come up next to him and join his side. It then says "Ice Climbers Freeze the Fight!" or something and then gameplay videos. And then they end it with a long message: "We apologize deeply, but we could not optimize the Ice Climbers for the 3DS. The components were not able to allow them to play as they did in previous iterations of the series and we know all of you wanted them to be the same. We hope you enjoy these two returning to the fight."
For reference, FF7 is quite literally Max's all time favorite game. So that reaction was entirely genuine. And I love him for it. 7 may not be my favorite FF bot holy shit those references gave me a hype boner.

So glad someone recognized the music. I did immediately as well. That and Chrono Trigger are probably the most iconic game openings ever for me. I’m 25 years old now, I stumbled upon this again, it’s been almost 10 years, I’m just on my home from work and this brought tears to my eyes to see again.
I've been coming back to this video for years anytime i'm sad, It honestly cheers me up and makes me smile to see Max (or anyone really) so happy to something they love and cherish.

I didn't get the reference to the intro even after re-watching it multiple times and I had started FF7 many times You see it once per playthrough, and a lot of people played the game 10+ years ago. I'm not surprised nobody realized what it was; I couldn't remember and I watched it only two years ago!
i recently started playing FFVII because of Cloud's reveal... its safe to say that its probably one of the best games i have ever played in my entire life its definitely in my top 3. when i saw this trailer i instantly liked Cloud, the hype was absolutely real. i wonder how would have been if i grew up playing final fantasy 7... as much as i love smash and now thanks to it i love FF7 too, i cant help but to wonder how would i have reacted with this trailer as i already screamed the fuck out when i saw him. i probably would have entered a 7 day coma. now i rewatch this and see your reaction and i put myself on your shoes, i tear up just by hearing the music and the stars introduction scene. congrats to everyone who waited so much for that moment. and as for me... well now i main Cloud :D
This comment brought a tear to my eye. It's hard for me to judge FF7 by modern standards because I have such a nostalgic view of it. But I'm so happy the remake is in its way and even my friends that either aren't into FF games usually, or missed the original because they find it too janky to go back and play it now, even they are looking st these trailers and thinking "hmm... actually looks pretty good..." and I'm here with my nostalgia overload waiting for what appears to be a potential candidate for the greatest game ever made. From the trailers, that's honestly what I think the brief was "greatest game ever made". Start with a solid foundation of characters and story telling from FF7, add absolutely stunning visuals, and make it fun as hell to play.... wow... ok I think I'm done now 😁

FF x Smash was such an unbelievable shock it’s like he’s questioning reality and stepping so far back that he has to comment on the concept of Video Games itself. God it just makes me so happy. +ThatOneGamerPerson I think neutral b is the projectile. Down b is the charge limit break AND the tornado slash when limit is full.
I think Nair is the attack that hits Mega Man around 1:46 or so. Also, I think Blade Beam is Neutral B and Down B is Limit Break Charge (when in normal mode) and Finishing Touch (when in Limit Break mode). Otherwise, yeah, you basically got it. :)
Oh, and Cloud does a Back Throw at 1:48 on Wario.

I honestly like this guy's reaction better than Etika's. I feel like Etika was just flipping a shit to get some views, but this guy had a more genuine reaction. Instead of screaming like nuts, he was making good jokes throughout his reaction and even ended it on a hilarious note referencing the encounter with Cloud and Sephiroth. Truly, only Final Fantasy fans would know what he was talking about, as a good majority of the viewers of this probably did not catch the reference they made there.
It was the first reaction video I saw of Cloud, but it was a damn good first one and my favorite of the bunch.

Truthfully, if Nintendo is going to go all out on this fan service thing, the icing on the cake (pun intended) would be to start a trailer similarly with the "Super Smash Bros." title showing up, followed by a (very unexpected) "Wii U Only" warning as you hear the sound of a blizzard slowly increase in volume.
It engulfs the warning and turns the screen completely white, followed by it zooming out and introducing a new Ice Climbers stage, alongside a slow camera panning of Popo, followed by Nana to come up next to him and join his side. It then says "Ice Climbers Freeze the Fight!" or something and then gameplay videos.
And then they end it with a long message:
"We apologize deeply, but we could not optimize the Ice Climbers for the 3DS. The components were not able to allow them to play as they did in previous iterations of the series and we know all of you wanted them to be the same. We hope you enjoy these two returning to the fight."
For reference, FF7 is quite literally Max's all time favorite game. So that reaction was entirely genuine. And I love him for it.

i recently started playing FFVII because of Cloud's reveal... its safe to say that its probably one of the best games i have ever played in my entire life its definitely in my top 3. when i saw this trailer i instantly liked Cloud, the hype was absolutely real. i wonder how would have been if i grew up playing final fantasy 7... as much as i love smash and now thanks to it i love FF7 too, i cant help but to wonder how would i have reacted with this trailer as i already screamed the fuck out when i saw him. i probably would have entered a 7 day coma. now i rewatch this and see your reaction and i put myself on your shoes, i tear up just by hearing the music and the stars introduction scene. congrats to everyone who waited so much for that moment. and as for me... well now i main Cloud :D

This comment brought a tear to my eye. It's hard for me to judge FF7 by modern standards because I have such a nostalgic view of it. But I'm so happy the remake is in its way and even my friends that either aren't into FF games usually, or missed the original because they find it too janky to go back and play it now, even they are looking st these trailers and thinking "hmm... actually looks pretty good..." and I'm here with my nostalgia overload waiting for what appears to be a potential candidate for the greatest game ever made. From the trailers, that's honestly what I think the brief was "greatest game ever made". Start with a solid foundation of characters and story telling from FF7, add absolutely stunning visuals, and make it fun as hell to play.... wow... ok I think I'm done now 😁
