  • 808s are a staple of hip hop and electronic music production. But sometimes it’s good NOT to use an existing 808 sample, rather shape your own bass. Producer Focus… explains why. Learn more: www.waves.com/renbass How do you boost your bass? Tell us in the comments.

    Talk about good taste. This man is the real deal--and he does such a good job explaining intangible ideas that are hard to articulate to an audience through words (i.e., how certain bass resonances don't works with some melodies while others do).

    it was extremely useful to me, I was struggling with bass tones for a long time, thank you very very much.

      I feel that's actually the whole point of the Renaissance bundle. It's very intuitive and you have to feel what you do instead of ovrthinking while using this kind of plug-ins.

      Have u ever heard a real drummer? The snare is actually loudest for the most part..

    • @soundbycozzy
      @soundbycozzy 6 років тому +2

      hiphop beats aren't meant to sound like real drums.. also once you put a limiter in there the snare's gonna lose its transients so its better to turn it down and once it gets mastered its gonna pe perfect anyways..annnddd the kick drum is actually known to be loudest in hiphop ..ya know that bump we always hear in this genre?

      @ceezethegreat1239 6 років тому +2

      sanga colney yea you..lls. if u know how to mix u actually put the snare slightly louder than the kick and not the snare will not lose it's transient if u know how to properly use a limiter

      Andrew Aboy naw he said most people would use an 808 but all bass is not created equal.. 808 is nothing but a type of bass bruh.. that sub bass was fire with that beat..
