Technically making something that isn’t a Gundam look like a Gundam is a method of psychological warfare. Soldiers on both sides know that one thing that makes a Gundam is it’s signature V-fin. The second an enemy sees that, they panic
I am still quite happy with the Magic Toys version I got years ago, never thought Bandai would make a MG of it, but with the G Parts having been announced I may very well get the official offering.
Considering that the name "Hazel" is a character from the novels and animated feature film Watership Down, by Richard Addams. It kind of makes me wonder when we'll get a Rabscuttle, Campion or Bigwig :)
Not true. A Quel with armor does not rival an RX Type Gundam. From the Hazel Custom on they were upgraded considerably until it rivaled an RX Type Gundam and they were officially designated as Gundams. It's a Gundam.
Seems like you never know that the fingers has red color on it all the time..... The red fingers are a trademark for AOZ MS I guess, Wondwort has that as well....
Hazel would be a high mobility type, Bigwig would be a heavily armored ground type. After all, Bigwig survived after being nearly strangled by barbed wire in the novel.
For the record nice explanation on the hazel. I can see you did your research lol, Also the fingers are censors. Or reason, For more touch ect I believed. And the gundam head was for biological warfare, simply to scare the enemy thinking it was a gundam but it's not, Again it's a experimental suit. The simple explanation on fingers is for extremely carefully grabbing people or stuff besides weapons. Also I have 2 white hazels, and titans hazel deployment color. As Well 6 mk2 gundams lol and 3 hazels, one with a modified head to look like a reserved hazel xD anyway, I think it's a great kit. I don't know why people talk bad about it. It's a good kit. Ofc I will agree on the premium Bandai it sucks. The review it's to show you or get a idea on what you will put your money on, but you can't judge till you build it. It's like a movie you can't judge till you. Seen it. In my opinion lol I'm a big titans, titans test team Aoz fan.
I concur with you on this being good, but not great. Conceptually, I like it well enough, but if I am paying p-bandai markup, there's a lot of stuff I'd pick over it, just for my own needs and wants. thanks for the review
Slightly off topic question: what kind of top coat would you recommend? In Southern California, I can't seem to find any Tamiya or Mr. Color. I've used testors flat top coat before and it worked alright, but I was thinking about Krylon or Rustoleum? What would you recommend?
Lee Gallop I see, sounds like a good price too. The Testors stuff was alright, and readily available at Hobby Lobby, but the cans are tiny and 5 bucks a pop. I'm working on Nu Gundam Ver Ka, and I really want it to look badass, so I want to make sure to get the best I can find. Thanks for the advice!

Yes.It's one of the greatest designs ever to come out in a Gundam series. Heck, EVEN its dated 2.0 MG would still look good alongside the newer Hyaku Shiki 2.0.
So would you say that this kit is extra T H I C C. Bandai really likes to make they kits pbandai that not everyone is able to buy and like this one might not even be worth price that they demand from it as pbandai exclusive.
"Good but not great" pretty much. If there's little to no affinity toward AoZ, then the MG Hazel is likely going to be a huge disappointment. Being a fan of AoZ, it'll still be mildly disappointing because it isn't as modern a MG....but we are now able to make the Hazel-Rah, relatively easily (compared to 1/144 scale). That is definitely something.
Tbh the review pretty much sums up my main disappointment. It's mediocre to the point where there's nothing good or bad about it, it's just a good Hazel kit, which isn't enough. Really, it's only real draw over the HG is the fact it's 1/100, especially since it's a peeb.
Exactly what t I thought... It just looks like a larger scale version of the HG. Doesnt appear to do much all else different, other than the frame being masterful
Those new P-Bandai Hrududu parts are the only thing making me really want Titan's colored one of these to attach all that shit too but, in the end there overpriced and I don't really wanna do it.

All the Hazel units were GM Quel(s) with just some extra armor. The only tru Gundam is the MkII

@@GuntPulp yeah, when they upgraded it into the Haze'n-thley, essentially all of the GM Quel parts had been replaced with either TR-1 or TR-6 parts.
That'll be my one of my wishlists. The MG Gundam from the Universal Century, both tv show and a side story manga.
Seems like you never know that the fingers has red color on it all the time.....
The red fingers are a trademark for AOZ MS I guess, Wondwort has that as well....
I actually really enjoyed building this model kit, even with the amount of stickers that come with it
It's not a new kit. It's an old kit that got mothballed due to licensing which is why it's P-Bandai.
Oh and if I remember right, the red fingers tips are some kind of sensors
Wow so close to 150! By any chance will you be getting the gm dominance?
Are you going to be picking up the Shield Booster or Hrududu expansions for this kit?
Regarding the rabbit theme, they named the suits after characters from 'Watership Down' too..
Hazel would be a high mobility type, Bigwig would be a heavily armored ground type. After all, Bigwig survived after being nearly strangled by barbed wire in the novel.
The rabbit logos is actually because it relates to the names of most Advance of zeta mobile suits which are turn homages to watership home
*Watership Down
You should get all the additional accessories like the shield kit, and the booster .

try a brand call model master, a little easier to find but tamiya is my favorite
jabman025 Ok, thanks a lot, boss!
I have trouble finding hobby branded top coat too. I use Dupli-Color acrylic enamel matte coat. It’s a good price, like $7 a can, and works great too.

There is a gunpla top coat showdown on yt that i use as reference

how's your wallet?
@@jabman025 good right now but probably not for long
What’s your favorite MG Gundam kit? Like both the Gundam and the kit.
Huh; apparently this is actually available on USAgundamstore.
you planning on getting the P-Bandai Woundwort HGUC (the one that pissed a lot of people off since it's a new mold)?
unlikely............now if the made a MG woudwort...
Let's hope they don't pull a P-Bandai on that one, neh (though I'm working on a 1/100 resin kit of it, but still)?
i want this kit. it just looks badass. sucks that its pbandai >.
Why does the mic sound different to previous reviews?
Who do we have to kill to end p-bandai?
It's a reality of the Japanese domestic market. It going away would be a serious blow to Bandai's business.
No. We don't need to kill them. End the salty people who can't save for their own hobby.

P-Bandai is a necessary evil because otherwise there are kits that would never be made at all (like this guy).
@@linkkicksu they don't need to make it so people in other regions can get them at decent prices tho
did you get a good deal for this pbandai kit?
Your video quality sure is getting better.
Speaking of the Mark 2 2.0, as compared to modern day MG, is it still good and how does it stack up? I am asking as I am interested as picking one up.
Thomas Hare it may be old, but it isnt a bad mg. Its supposed to be a scaled down pg
So would it be better purchase compared to GM Sniper Custom?
Thomas Hare not really. The gm sniper ii is pretty awesome.
I know I own the Sniper II, I am talking about the Sniper Custom.
Thomas Hare oh my b
Yeah the custom is basically the ii but with some extras. I suggest looking at other reviews of the custom
I know it isn't gundam related but will you review the 1/60 Arbalest from full metal panic?
He usually build gunpla so...don't expect he'll review a non gundam mecha kit....
叶川ヒロ yeah. It looks more patlabor than it does gundam
It's a really cool design and the cheapest 1/60 Arbalest kit out there.
叶川ヒロ yeah. I was surprised the price they asked for a 1/60 kit. Pre ordered this morning
It is 1/60 scale but i dont the built of that kit thus same as 1/60 gundam quality?

Yes.It's one of the greatest designs ever to come out in a Gundam series. Heck, EVEN its dated 2.0 MG would still look good alongside the newer Hyaku Shiki 2.0.
Jabman, are there actually MG kits you don't have up to this point? You seem to collect them and not even P-Bandai stops you.
There are over 200 Master grades not counting P Bandai and I have bought a few more than once so no I'm not even close
What's the number 1 MG kit you want right now?
i wish this is standard release.
oh god that ending got me
Why are there a million TTT
A bit overkill

Yes BRING BACK THE ONE MORE THINGS LMAO
