I'm from the United States, and I personally haven't had any issues with sexism within this fandom. I've been in the fandom since about late 2012, so I've been a furry for a while. I might just somehow dodge that part of the fandom, I guess? Somehow??? I know the drama is very well apparent, of course, and I also dodge that part of the fandom too. If there's any drama that goes on I'm just kinda there on the sidelines just watching the flame wars go down. No point in adding more fuel to the fire. I often ask to myself... "What the heck is going on now?!" I have involved myself in drama a few times before but in another fandom, and it's not at all worth the energy. Some bit of advice for people who are new to the fandom: if you see any drama, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT involve yourself! It'll only make you feel bad and it's not even worth it in the long run... 5 years from now or so, you'll remember the awful argument and say to yourself, "Wow, that was stupid and a waste of time."

Sadly Autumn Fallings defended the Wildlife's zoophilia. It's also sad that not many people are aware of it and they are still a popular maker who makes a ridiculous amount on their fursuits due to the limited availability. I can't give links but it's not hard to google to find the proof. Java (one of the owners of the Wildlife) posted about the things they did to their dog on beast forums. I was surprised none of the major furry youtubers would touch it when it was brought back up last year. Though Majira did make a post telling people not to tell people they should burn the suits by the maker (understandable if you bought something and didn't know, that's a lot of money to throw away). I understand no one wanted to be the person to fan the flames, but if we're going to crack down on sexism and pedophilia we ought to also be cracking down on zoophilia as well.
I don't know anything about the situation, but it could be that this person lives in a place where it is completely legal? I know that doesn't change people's moral views on the issue, but if it is acceptable in the place this person lives..?
Ahh, so it's not technically okay where this person lives? Then I can understand the issue. I just don't think people should be persecuted for doing things that are legal and acceptable where they live. If they live in a place it's illegal, definitely shouldn't be doing it.

First of all, I want to say thank you so much for mentioning Furvilla in a video! I personally feel like Furvilla has changed a lot since beta and it's changing more and more every few months. If you want to see Furvilla succeed, definitely support the hard working staff and brilliant artists. Last year they updated the warrior system and it's a lot of fun. It may seem a bit overwhelming to get into, but if you like rpgmmos, I think you'll like the warrior update a lot. There are also now custom content orders, where you can order villager bases, items, and now monsters by a new artist recently added to the staff! Things in the works for Furvilla: quest system update, animal husbandry update, medicine overhaul, bug fixes and something else??? I'm not sure. The whispers through the grapevine are saying more career updates, but who knows! I know I would appreciate any support of the site. I love it so much but I'm not the most wealthy of people, only able to give support when I can. Thank you so much again for mentioning Furvilla!

My fursona journey: I started out with a calico cat named Star. I wasn't really into it, at the time I was only vaguely aware of furries. When I finally did get into it, I made a purple jaguwolf (jaguar wolf) named Kate. Edgy as heck, she was cool but not super cool. Then there was Candy. She's...over the top? She's a golden retriever with rainbow spots and wings. I realized she didn't fit my own personality well enough so I dropped her. Now I have Cotton. I'm sticking with her as long as I can. She's a fennec fox based on the candy Sweet Tarts, she's a pinkish lavender color, with a yellow star and five spots on each cheek, striped ears (also yellow and blue) She's a freaking FLOOF BEAN!!!

I have experienced sexism in the fandom on furry amino I have two female characters and one male and it seems that when I switch to my female characters I get so many guys coming to me just to be my "boyfriend" or ask me for "special" pictures and it's to the point of where I just want to close my Direct messages.
I agree that i've only experienced sexism on the furry amino app, and no where else really. I find that many of these creepers are trolls, that are looking to get some "action". Especially because there are many younger people on the app, and its so easy to prey on them and push them around. Makes me sick. Hope things improve for you though, it stinks.
Its unfortunate that happened to you, but I would be hesitant to call it sexism. If it's just the fact that the majority of people who have talked to you are attracted to females, that has nothing to do with discrimination, it's just what they are attracted to unconditionally. It only becomes sexism when their intention is to inflict harm on you specifically because of your gender.

Regardless of attraction, someone who isnt a male who is attracted to females, or is ale attracted to males would still be scummy if they targeted someones character who isn't shown to have nsfw inplications. That's not someone crushing on a character, that's a horn-dog who wants to bother the owner/artist. It could have easily been girl trolls targeting the male character and it would stillbe unacceptable.

God, this makes me want to move back to Australia so badly. We moved to Australia when I was 4 months old, I only remember bits and pieces of Australia. What I do for art is draw it on paper for reference and then draw a rough shape for digital art. After that I make a second layer and trace the rough shape then delete the rough shape, resulting in a piece of artwork.
Pocari please don't feel like you need to apologize for taking care of yourself. Your videos are fun and a highlight of my week but they are nowhere near as important as your health. The flu is not an illness to be taken lightly, and taking care of yourself is so much more important than UA-cam.

Yeah, one of my sona's, Trodaire (means fighter in Irish) is a shapeshifter. His main form is a sabertooth tiger, dragon mix. But he can be any animal. But with each animal, it has at least one different marking, small or large, to differ it from his other forms. My main sona is Element, a half ice, half fire wolf^^

I recently started to do my art on paper to then trace it on my computer because is a lot faster and my artstyle changes when I draw on computers. Plus sketching on paper helps me save a lot of time, almost an hour of sketching in my computer could be 15 minutes on paper. I take a picture on my phone, send it in an email to myself and download it on my computer.
With the paper sketch digital thing, I got a drawing tablet way too early to be able to do that. I love drawing and I think doing the sketch on paper and lineart on digital is fine.

God, this makes me want to move back to Australia so badly. We moved to Australia when I was 4 months old, I only remember bits and pieces of Australia. Because of a big reason we moved, I lived there for 7 years. Really, I just miss my homeland.

What I do for art is draw it on paper for reference and then draw a rough shape for digital art. After that I make a second layer and trace the rough shape then delete the rough shape, resulting in a piece of artwork.
Pocari please don't feel like you need to apologize for taking care of yourself. Your videos are fun and a highlight of my week but they are nowhere near as important as your health. The flu is not an illness to be taken lightly, and taking care of yourself is so much more important than UA-cam.

i’ve recently commissioned a partial from @chloe.is.fluffy on instagram, and i’m super excited! he’s nearly done, and looks great so far. the only problem is, i’m not entirely sure what species he is. he’s a canine, as shown in my profile picture, but he has horns/spikes. really, i was wondering if it’s a must to have a set species.

Yeah, one of my sona's, Trodaire (means fighter in Irish) is a shapeshifter. His main form is a sabertooth tiger, dragon mix. But he can be any animal. But with each animal, it has at least one different marking, small or large, to differ it from his other forms. My main sona is Element, a half ice, half fire wolf^^

I recently started to do my art on paper to then trace it on my computer because is a lot faster and my artstyle changes when I draw on computers. Plus sketching on paper helps me save a lot of time, almost an hour of sketching in my computer could be 15 minutes on paper.
I take a picture on my phone, send it in an email to myself and download it on my computer.

With the paper sketch digital thing, I got a drawing tablet way too early to be able to do that. I love drawing and I think doing the sketch on paper and lineart on digital is fine.
