These Revit Auto vids are always excellent. Just one point to add. Before unscrewing the plugs, if you have an air compressor, blow around the plugs to get rid of any loose debris. You never want any debris to fall into the cylinders through the spark plug hole. Just my 10 cents' worth.

Excellent video. Thank you. Question, how do you know the spring has seated over the spark plug. After I changed my plugs I noticed my MPG decreased. Is there a trick to be sure they seat? Kind Regards...
It's really a feeling that I can't explain well. But if you use dielectric grease it will help it sit flush especially if they are new coils. I hope this helps !
Yes,dielectric grease will help.Make sure that the plugs are seated right and all the way down and coils are greased and seated and centered properly. This should at least eliminate that as a problem and help your car run better. The first car I didn't check and it ran real funky.A friend advised me to go back and check everything was in properly.Of course it wasn't.I redid it and it ran beautifully.😁 So,check it before you walk away from it after putting it in.If it doesn't fix it,have a trusted mechanic check to see what's up.
How often do you recommend replacing the Coils? Mine are the original with 157K miles. Engine runs great but a mechanic at the deal was like....... OMG, originals? you should change the plugs and the coils. The plugs were all very even, light tan and electrodes in great shape after 46K miles.... Should I change the coils if bit running fine? Thanks
I have a problem with a traction ford 2.0 mod 2012 the problem it does is that when I turn on A / C it loses power and the engine edta inledtable has been turned off only when it is in realenti
I am not sure, it is entirely possible as there are a lot of vehicles that share similar parts, filters, plugs, etc. Let us know if you find anything out. Happy Motoring
@Jizzy The Froggy How it just a 8mm holding them down so they don’t fly out they just sit on top of the plug no ? or am I mistaken I have been wrong many times before.
~1:49 "And I just drop them in" -- That is advice so bad, it breaks Hanlon's razor and is just maliciously incompetent. This can close the plug gap and/or damage the ceramic insulator. Putting in spark plugs in modern aluminum heads with any powered tool is also a pretty awful example to give. Powered tools can very easily blow right past that 9 ft lb torque spec. Also, not sure what silliness it is referring to the socket size as 16mm. That size technically is compatible, but for simplicity, it's a 5/8" if you're getting a spark plug socket with a rubber boot or magnet and most variety metric + SAE kits of sockets are going to have 5/8" with 16mm being less common in a deep socket. Three easy correct methods: 1) Magnetic / rubber booted spark plug socket (magnetic ones are the best and $10-15 for one with a built-in extension and universal joint) 2) Use the coil pack / boot to insert and turn a couple times until threads engage and pull the coil back out so they can be torqued to spec with a socket. 3) Use a piece of 3/8" ID rubber / fuel hose (this is the old school Haynes / Chilton repair book method) and thread in similar to the coil pack / boot method above.
@@Revitauto that's what I'm going to do ... but I got a code p1000-00 that will not make my Vehicle emission test. Pass .I'm not sure what to do with this issue
@@sunnysmarket Did you replace the coil and spark plug on the miss firing cylinder? The p1000 code is due to the check engine light being reset........ And then not being driven far enough for the car to check all of its functions.
@@Revitauto Yeah I did I did replace them already but I don't have check engine light on my Vehicle. And we have emission test I don't pass it for some reason.
Thanks for the tip! This ratchet can only do about 20 lbs of tightening torque. And the extension and long socket remove that. I let them get snug and then tighten by hand! A great tip to share thank you for contributing!-Blair

How do you know which cylinder is which? I don’t know if 4 is on the left or right when facing the front of the van.

Really nice video without a whole lot of talking about nothing like most
None of the nonsense, straight to the action! Call it the "Revit Way" haha
Is it ok to replace spark plugs and keep the old coils? Do more expensive Denso *Iridium* plugs perform any better? It's a 2010 FTC.

Did you gap the spark plugs? If you did,how far of a gap?
Hey do you know where the fuel injector is?
What am I doing wrong? The ratchet keeps spinning? What does 9lb torque mean?
Good presentation - Thanks.

thanks for video, I'm going to do it myself, local shop wanted $550 to do it.
Is it true that the mazda coil pack is the same as a transit connect coil pack?

Thanks buddy
What if the entire boot is covered in oil and you can't even see the plugs due to all the oil all the way to the top of the valve cover
great video! thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
Thanks!

how do you not put the engine size in the headline or the info???
Because this model year in the United States only came with one engine option of the 2.0 duratec 4 cylinder
What year is yours?
When you replace spark plug you don"t have to use any battery Cordless Ratchet only with your hand because it can break easy

Taking them out when lose and seating them won’t brake anything. It all comes down to experience like the tech in this video.
Pre gaped
Get closer and use more light so we can see it,please.
