Hey Dude! I too purchased the power board from your ebay site and installed it. It worked!! Thanks!
But a word of warning to other self-healers: The chassis of the Nav unit has A Lot of small screws! Some are small, some are smaller, and some are Tiny!. I thought I kept track of where they came from, but not good enough. I had three extra screws when I put it all back together (but it still worked!). Maybe take a self video when you take it apart and note the size of each screw as it comes out??

Great video. The problem that I'm having is that my screen will not open to insert/eject the discs. It goes down partially and stops. What should I look for to correct this issue?
The bottom tray that holds the screen tilt mechanism has a potentiometer. This sometimes needs to be recalibrated or replaced. What GPS model is this? There is a small model number at the lower right corner.
On my Navigation, the screen is blank only radio works but you cant see station names. Sometimes radio turns on, sometimes it doesn't you have to play around with it. Tilt and open button always work though.😢
When screen is blank, shine a bright flashlight on screen and see if you see a faint image. If you do, then your unit works fine but the backlight control board is bad.
If possible how do you use the Bluetooth with music
You cannot with this version of stereo. You have to connect thru the aux inputs

@@hermanoGabriel ya the ribbon cable connects to the main unit via a brown connector. That connector is on the main board. If you send me a photo i can see if it can be fixed
@@DebtFreeCars the conector is the one that is not doing contsct to the board anymore :( so i cant see nothing amd do nothing but i put the radio im the sienna and its stop doing the weird noise its just that i dont see nothing; where i can send picture?
Do you know how difficult it would be to just take the front panel off to reach just behind the buttons? Some of the buttons do not work due to a previous smoker and I think the contacts just need to be cleaned out. I'm hoping it can just be pryed off without having to take the whole front piece off. Thank you!
The ribbon cable behind the screen is difficult to get to. I would remove the stereo if you can. It’s actually pretty easy. But removing the screen ribbon cable is where many people damage it. Once screen is off getting to the back of the buttons is pretty difficult too. It requires removing several layers of PCB, glass, and plastic. All of which is crispy. I find that broken buttons is due to another ribbon cable inside the screen module. It’s at the bottom of the screen. This cable gets damaged by repairmen trying to pry the case open. This is unrepairable.

Can anyone tell me how to switch of the gps.?
My unit goes to the gps screen witch isn’t working.
I just want it to stay on the preset radio screen.
Plus it’s all in Japanese
On this unit you need the GPS to work in order for the other functions to work. Very complicated.
