I have made worked in the past as a hired gun for different artists (very small, no one you'd have heard of) and was in a folk/pop band called Kosoti (again, you won't have heard of them either haha) so have done tons of gigs over the years in lots of places with lots of cool musicians. I now focus solely on my teaching work, my drumming ability and my own music that I write for fun. So, long story short - professional drum teacher and an avid music creator on the side :)
Here here. It's a whole body thing. My little toes are vibing too (they're just off shot). Watching this one revealed how much my shoulders groove! They're really in it! Thanks a lot for watching and taking the time to comment :)
Is that the Sonor Tear Drop?? In any case, it's incredible. This is a really good groove. Tom @ 1:25-ish, just sings through. Great mic (phone??) placement for this one. It's hearing everything.
Thanks buddy. I use a zoom q2n-4k for everything - it's got built in mics and does an incredible job. I change up the camera angle every so often if I fancy a change/can't be bothered to set up an overhead mic stand. Really chuffed with how this position sounded though, wasn't expecting it. The drums on this one are the classic Ludwig Supraphonic snare, mapex firecracker snare/tom conversion, mapex horizon floor tom and my old mapex pro m kick that I've had the longest of all my drums. Bought it from my drum teacher when I was 18 and sounds proper good.
Just had a google, looks decent! Let me know how it goes... There's an old 4 track tape recorder sitting in the music shop where I work. Tempted to buy it... Thoughts?
@@GeorgeHuttonDrums what make/model? Price? I personally am done with cassettes. Whilst I could get TDK SA90s for 50p a throw, they were good. Cassettes themselves aren't the problem though - it's the decks / recorders that create the hassles. Ageing pinch rollers, fatigued belts, worn heads, and the need to re-calibrate them periodically. It's difficult to find someone with the expertise to service them.
love your dedication to everyday solos! super creative! liked!
Thank you so much. I appreciate the support and encouragement :)
👍👍
Thank you!
That floor tom sounds so good! Love this groovy gem.
Thank you! Having the video recorder/mic here really helps make the floor tom the star of the show on this one...
this is the one, super groovy!
Thank you so much! As ever, I really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Are you the profesional drummer or you making it just as hobby?

Groovie as fuck👌😍
Thank you muchly kind sir! Appreciate the feedback :)
When you see a drummer putting their shoulder into it, you know youve actually found a percussionist. Not just a drummer.

@@GeorgeHuttonDrums I am getting a Zoom R4 this month. It's meant to be a doddle to use.
