I absolutely love when you detail your city. The railyard and all the other little things look absolutely amazing, dont change it.
9 days ago??!! this was posted 5 days ago...
@@randomyoutubeuser123 I have a patreon subscription 😅
@@een_zwieber oh
Honestly, if you can create such amazingly detailed sceneries right now, I cannot wait for this game to be fully moddable with legit custom asset support. I feel like slowly we all will receive the actual proper CS:II we were waiting for so long. You're an amazing inspiration!
yeah its gonna get mostly there. Some of the things are way better and more in depth (simulation) than we asked or dared hope for.
But sadly the drawback f that outweighs the good, as the simulation performance is horrible for a big city.
So this game will only be amazing for 100-150k population. Also, still too many things missing, like Bikes and small features
@@user-wq9mw2xz3jI mean hopefully when better CPU’s come out a city of 300k will run smoothly
13:50 The city? That railyard is what the *whole series* is about! And I love it!!!
I love a good detailing episode. Those neglected areas of cities between the pretty stuff make it feel real. Also the graffiti on the pillars was awesome.
Your detailing work - and the new tools - make C:SII finally start looking like any city builder should look like: Grimy.
You're the king of organic looking cities...Great episode!
Detailing episodes are the best ones! I really love the railways and especially these little things!
The supports on the highway are dope. Let’s say they could’ve been built to carry more lanes or a lite rail that was never realized.
This shit is so impressive, your patience in detailing is unmatched
Always so much inspiration to take away from your videos to implement in my own cities. I adore the rundown/abandoned old industrial areas and how you add them into awkward areas but are still able to give them historical context and not solely to fill the space.
Amazing work, but I really love the shadows off that retaining wall next to the old rail yard. The shade, the sense of enclosure is spot on. Is so accurate if you were to really walk along something like that in NJ/NY etc. A+ here!
The terrain resolution in the new game does so much when you do the terrain perspectives. Proper ditches etc makes it so believable in contrast to the low res terrain of the first game
You should expand the detailing to the tracks that get you into the train yard, there’s no reason to maintain those tracks in good condition, plus, you usually see abandoned rails next to the actual in use tracks, it would complete the whole thing
Far out mate this is insane! I've tried making detail myself but wow you've just gone to the next level here!
I love the supports! You should keep em, in my opinion.😃
Transform Tool:::-> Press the "Star" and then those coordinates switch from Global to Object, meaning you move the object relative to where _it_ is now and not where it is in relation to the rest of the map. Way easier!
Love that old rail yard and the retaining wall with the tiled surface and overgrowth is simply superb.
Rails without catenaries we're almost there on... well, we've already been there only to find the wires remain. So, no catenary plus no wires we're almost there on!
We have a housing problem! Let’s spend time adding a hobo village detail to show that! Yep, perfect.
"oopsies i got carried away" yeah you did mate but my god, thats my favourite bit of the episodes work. 😂 Bravo sir
love your detailing, truly inspiring to me
Your detailing is amazing! Thanks for the inspiration. Abandoned railyard turned out great.
the detail is incredible it looks like satellite imagery!
Amazing Detail Work! Such an inspiration for my own city, Thanks!
Im blown away, this looks so good dollars, i dont even know what to say :D So happy for all of your success, keep going!
So satisfying to see all that squeeky clean stuff get dirty giving the city character 😎
Beautiful work. Really lovely episode.
Yes please, finally some proper detailing in your city! Looking forward for more of these!
HALLELUJAH A NEW VIDEO!! Been waiting for this for 2 weeks!! 🎉
this looks awesome. Congrats. You are Talented.
looks great! the decals/bushes work fine for covering up the tracks. It looks like a lot of your high rise offices dont have any companies in them.
This video is amazing as always!
Great video on the detailing! I can't wait for when the creator assets come out! 👍
Some ideas for the future: if someone creates steam locomotives as a asset you could give the property to a museum (for steam locomotives and industry). also parts of the old tracks could be used (like in New York) as a park above the streets.
Awesome work!
Absolutely amazing work!
The rail yard could become a convention win the future!
So good to see you back in full detailing swing brother 🎉
Good to be back!
Amazing build as always! Btw, for the next video you should definitely check out the Recolor mod if you haven’t already. You can really get creative with it and create some more diverse and interesting neighborhoods
Cheers! Definitely will do though I’ve already recorded the next episode it’ll come in eventually
I love the detailing you do with the railway yard. It's giving me some ideas for my own industrial area. Just a quick point, the furthest out tracks that join at a points at the bottom don't give any space for a train to go into, not sure if that's because it's since been removed or not. Also, they do have run-around lines in yards like this so the engine can go from one end of the wagons to the other. Looking forward to the next episode.
in my city we had something similar to this happen. Edmonton Alberta CN railyard downtown got turned into shops and a university. super cool to see historical images and images from nowadays to see some of the remnants left behind of the old railyard.
Love the detail episodes. Can’t wait for us to have more custom options/mods.
You my friend, are on a completely other level from us mortals... Keep up the good work.
you are the reason i play this game i watched all your videos on the second monitor while playing sc1 and 2 its safe to say i have you us number one when it comes to building close to real life
Really good episode!
I really wish to see some more mid-rises/ medium density around the skyline to make it make more sense. It currently goes from 0-100 real quick
Re the trees and undergrowth thing... one thing we don't have yet that would make a big difference is short and tall grasses (asset in cs:1). I used to use them all the time in cs:1 to soften edges without looking too wild. I'm pretty suprised at CO for not including two or three types into the default game.
The retaining wall looks like something out of google earth, smashed it 👌
bro we want a complete tour of your whole city sometimes...this is absolutly awesome
Love your video title. DETAILERS rule.
Incredible detail, wow! Makes a huge difference.
love really seeing all this come truly to life with all the details
Stunning, so glad you bounced back from CS2's terrible launch and have found your mojo again with all the new detailing mods.
Love the stacked supports for the highway, will try that in my city.
Please expand the city bc it’s very weird having a city with 30thousand inhabitants but with such a huge skyline
Alright well, I guess I gotta start watching this series from episode 1 because this looks just so natural and real, I love it. I love the vibe of the old overgrown train yards in the middle of the city, the little neighborhood overlooking it. Honestly something about the way you built it, the train yard area with the retaining wall looks like a photo scan on top of geometry like you'd see in google maps.
Haha thanks dude! I can’t say the detailed builds are there from episode one but it might be fun watching how the series changes with mods
@@twodollarstwenty yeah thats fair, there werent any mods or a lot of detailing options when the game came out haha. but it would be cool to get the whole story of the city and see how it evolves
Bro one suggestion use map replacer texture mod to make those unnatural cliffs look a bit more natural
how do yall use mods lol there is literally nothing on paradox mods..
You are quickly becoming my favorite cities skylines UA-camr!
Beautifully detailed!
25:38 my absolute favorite sc4 song
Great build!
I think this is your best episode ever.
Few things bring me more joy than watching $2.20 build old industrial train lines!
25:10 you didn't think you'd actually get away without someone noticing some classic SimCity 4 music did ya? Brings back memories, - Wheels of Progress, SimCity 4.
The city is amazing keep up the work and love rail yard
This gives me such hope for CS2's future! I love love love detailing episodes! STOKED!
My eyes will be drawn to the beauty of that abandoned railyard and its surroundings for the rest of this series. Great detailing work! Oh, and just a heads up if you are considering going over to the new build, don't! My game keeps crashing with the mods on, but hopefully the mod creators will fix this soon.
stunning as usual
Looking good!
Those supports really cool. They look a bit similar to the pillars used in the Skyway Stage 3, which is an elevated expressway here in the Philippines. It's also one of the longest elevated expressways in the world. It looks incredible, but I imagine it's not great living below or near them.
I would love to see more transportation/highway vids
There is a fine line between simulation and a full time job. I find City Skylines and Planet Coaster blurring that line into oblivion. Thank goodness for mods that help lay trees in straight lines and advanced terraforming tools.
you make the game look amazing
New Dimesburgh is the Jersey City of New Dollarton right down to the skyscrapers!
Looks amazing - one of the main gripes I have is the apparent lack/inability of Paradox or CO to allow building assets like CS1. I just hope they haven’t left it so so long that none of the creators will be looking at doing assets for paradox mods
As soon as custom assets are supported I'll be ready to buy the game. This is absolutely stunning; hats off to the modders and paradox for getting things in order. This is starting to look more like what I imagined this game was meant to be. I know another few years the modding will be insane and we will be totally spoiled with the potential this game still has locked away
I love to super detail. Honestly I was waiting for mods to come out before I could even really care about the game. Tree Anarchy, Find it, are a must! And yes trees are hard to place, cuz I want it realistic too!
really excited for the eventual subway once the city has grown to its full size
if you extend those last 2 lines forward a little bit more it makes a perfect wye(Y) junction which is very realistic and wouldn't be removed irl even if it is abandoned. plus it's simply very cool
Plop the Growables is just a blessing tbh, especially with how better the vanilla assets are this time compared to the first.
21:05 I would definitely get drunk with my friends at the intersection of the support of the road where the railway tracks end. very nice details to create such underground spaces.
Stunning city! I'm curious if you have a mod list, I haven't tried playing CS2 as much since launch but I do want to get back to it with the recent changes
Much love to the inspirational work you do ❤
Your cities look so realistic after you detail😮
Beautiful game. I wish I could play it, but on a Mac, so still working with CS 1.
4:15 That LittleBigPlanet soundtrack hit so different omg. Haven't played that in so long....
I’m always so shocked when you go into the live play and show the city cause I always think it’s Google Earth that’s how realistic and good it looks
What you could possibly do repurpose one of the abandoned railroads by turning it into a cycling path, something that's quite common in some European countries. Could add some small buildings like restaurant/toilets/water fountain. I wouldn't massively redevelop it, though. It does look pretty damn authentic as is.
Damn this game looks so good its unreal. Few mods and the potential is so clear to see. Once we get assets this will already be the best city builder ever and for a long time into the future. Yea it's been a rough ride at times but the haters need to chill tf out
Says hes not really a detailer. Procedes to hand place pillars for his highway.
You're detailing realistically it's dead-on eye-opening.
yes! love detailing. although i really cant get into CS2 for some reason at the moment....
My cities always have way to much elevation going on to. Makes it so annoying at times but the result always so satisfying.
those pillars are the remnants of the discontinued plans for a monorail running through there
Very cool idea!
The game is finally starting to come to life. Think I'll give it another shot soon.
4:07 "pretty minimal detail work" and still better looking than anything I have ever created in this game
the thumbnail and cinematic clips look straight up like from google earth.
you could add a couple old train cars on the track would add a little more realism
This game is like a straight-up job for you
IMO this is now looking better than cities skylines. Loved that homeless section where you were talking about the housing crisis and honestly I wouldn’t get too hung up on the train tracks, they already look so good. Bring on the big Apple!
Love some trains attention!
I just hope I can do this kind of stuff when it comes on console
I am so amazed...
That is tye nain reason I play games like cities skylines. Make it as a big scenarie full of small stories throughout the city.
almost like a wedding cake effect the city on multiple levels
