These are the 10 levels of Metal techniques that I think are essential for any guitarist looking to learn Metal riffs, from easiest to hardest. Follow me on Instagram!: / nandogilmetal
Man you’ve got a shitload of technique. You should do some guitar education videos here and there-us students of guitar would definitely appreciate that. Maybe do shorts that are educational like that Bernth guy does to save time editing. Thanks for reading my comment. You rock man!
@Aethereus69 thank you!! Was just thinking the exact same. Messengers is one of my top favorite albums and I'm not even a huge fan of those kind of tunes. Just something about that album man
First of all, GO PRS!!! Second of all, your playing is awesomely punctual. You're never late for the lick. It's actually a great piece of music IMO. And your picking game is sick dude. Go get famous lol
Loved this video. Good practice idea also, use a background track and practice improvisation along with incorporating different techniques and combinations of techniques. Surprisingly did help my practice on sweeps and tapping trying to replicate this video, even developed my own way of sweeping and tapping where I hide the pick in my hand and tap along the sweeping in a sorta legato way so thanks for the practice man!
Wow really fun to watch 10 levels. All really tasty riffs that just kept getting better as i watched. Ive replayed it about 5 times in a row now haha! What is the tuning?
@@NandoGilMetalPhrygian? Megadeth fan? They love Dorian, Aeolian, and Phrygian, especially during the Marty Friedman years. I don’t do modals, personally - I’m a drummer, lmao.
Aye I appreciate the compliment seriously 🙏🏼 but I’m an advanced player at best, still make a lot of mistakes and have room to grow 👍🏼👍🏼 Hopefully 1 day I will be one of the best guitarists in Metal! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@NandoGilMetal you know even the most experienced guitarist still make mistakes but those mistakes can come out as the best cords. I’d recommend recording your free plays and just listen to them, you might find your own tune ❤️
I used to have this exact problem when I started, trust me eventually your brain catches up and simply picks at the right angle and the pinch is louder. You'll gradually get more control over it and the harmonics will be way clearer and louder, just keep going at it!
Alternate picking is picking every notes up and down following a precise rythm and tremolo picking is the same but as fast as you can and without precise rythm
It’s impossible to gauge since everyone’s muscle memory and practice time is different 👍🏼 I would say don’t put a timer on it, and instead make sure to be able to play each Level clean and confidently before moving onto the next one 🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸
@@AzzyJijie you’re like me We both play nonstop but likely for the sake of fun not for the sake of practice yet we get our practice in by doing what we deem as fun
Yeah when tremelo picking you don’t really wanna dig in with the pick You only want the very end of the pick to be lightly hitting the string but not too light of course within no time you’ll have it down I’m perfect at tremelo picking tapping, alternative picking, pinch harmonics, natural harmonics, ect Recently got good at sweep picking too
Play slow one string melodys and alternate pick then, then do the tremolo motion (using the wrist is much better and faster, but forearm is fine and im a victim of it) and again start slow and speed up. Finnally chug chug tremolo and add to more advanced stuff. My fingers hurt
