    I don't know why, but Jamie timing the hammer strikes to the beat of the song was so much more satisfying this time around.

      I like his little small simple builds a lot more than Alecs big projects that take 15-20 episodes to make... its something newer blacksmiths can actually do too! 👍🏼👍🏼

    Damascus forging in the Middle Ages: A highly advance technique used to turn subpar steel into exceptionally high quality swords.
    Damascus forging in Modern Times: Still a fairly advance technique, only now it's used to make the fanciest of Pizza Cutters.

      You don't want the bottom too crispy, it needs to be able to hold up the pizza but not become a cracker or burned to death.

    Looks like max temp on that Paragon is 2350F. Could you do a 1000 + degree 5 minute pizza on that? Alex the french cooking guy just finished a series on a home built pizza oven; maybe get his recipe for a collaboration?

    Maybe it’s time to look into a small air nozzle at the power hammer so you can dispatch the scale and slag with the bump of a knee or foot. Just a thought.

    Favourite name i’ve heard for a pizza cutter was from David O'Doherty, who renamed the “pizza cutter” for me as the Infinity knife 😂

    the editing at 2:30 is incredible. I know it's just syncing up the bass with the power hammer, but it's awesome. Something I have always appreciated about this channel was the masterful editing, even before Alec had a team.

      Even if there is a size difference, seeing how much effort went into the planning and the executing itself, I wouldn't say that any of these projects are inferior to the other. And if I saw the drawings right, the handle won't be your usual IKEA-style either!

      While anyone can make a giant sword with the right equipment that's just the easy part. Alec still has to make it stable in freefall as well as nice to look at. not Just omething cobbled together by Orcs.

    The difference in a good UA-cam channel that is homemade and one with such professional editing as this one is easy to see. A good editor isn't cheap, but definitely is worth it for a channel with this kind of content.

    Loved the editing on this one. Told the story great, made the songs part of the video in a non-distracting way, and kept the whole thing moving at a perfect pace.

    MASSIVE editing skill here! Y'know the reindrop demascus effect, where you drill holes through a stright bar and the filling causes concentric circles? That would be very cool on that scale, and hard too.
    Non the less, this is a difficult weld to do. Awesome design in Will's hand!

      If at all possible, Alec and Will can do “no shave November”. Then do a Steele vs Stelter where they forge a straight razor. The winner uses the winner’s razor to shave the loser’s facial hair. But first, can Alec and Will grow a beard?

    It is a pleasure to watch someone that is so comfortable in their craft.
    All zany acting and film editing aside, Will is a very accomplished blacksmith, and it is a marvel to watch the proper forging techniques, straight billets and tight fit up. No wasted motion at the power hammer. Good job 👏 👍 👌

    Working with all those trapezoids and seeing Will thinking ahead with how to merge the patterning was fascinating and there was so much in that process I didn't even consider. Great stuff as always lads!

    You guys should do a blacksmith cooking series where you use tools you’ve made and only using heat sources used in forging/bladesmithing. Even if you heat a steel plate in the forge and use the hot steel as a bbq. Btw Jaime needs a raise, he is doing a killer job

    I can't explain how unbelievably satisfying it is when you edit the hits to line up with the music... Even moreso when you don't change the speed and leave it at the tempo of the music. But what you did here with the bass rhythm is still heckin' awesome.
