Nox would be more of a "horribly misguided antihero", if you ask me. One who starts off as an overt hero, and by the end of the film is doing just as much (if not more) harm than the actual villain.

Holy shit, this guy is insanely good at what he does. His style, the camera movements, the artistic expression is on point every single god damn video.
I never felt like his message was undermined by amateur editing or writing. His message felt more like a movie and less like a youtube video... This is something special, much more deserving of praise than your average social media downspout... It feels like a disney ride in virtual form, if that makes sense.

The movements are so fluid yet unnervingly rigid at the same time. I don't know how he does it, but none the less it's damn impressive.

By applying animation techniques to video editing. You can try some of it yourself by recording yourself doing something, then messing with the time-curve of the clip.
If I'm not mistaken, something similar is popular to do on Tik-Tok, but without exaggeration in action, pose, or expression.
He speeds up the footage. He lip syncs during acting. Some cases he may increase speed during certain segments. This is in an attempt to make the motion appear much more smooth, like animated rubbermation. That sort of animation where characters have no defined joints so they bend as they please. What speeding up does is give James enough time to slowly do the take for it to be relatively clean. Then he speeds up the footage making small inconsistencies virtually undetectable. It's done in action scenes and during digital dance performances. A small inconsistency of a fraction of a second is sped up until it's undetectable

How does he manage to make his movements seem so... janky yet smooth, like he's in one position and then all of a sudden its like he moved at 200-400% speed for a millisecond to end up in a sudden new position, and it's extremely pleasing to me even though normally it wouldn't be?
Serious props to this guy, he's amazing with his editing and various other things which contribute to his videos.
He mentioned he was using Posterize Time in Premiere but there's also obviously shitload of AE work done. You can speedramp pretty easily, the impressive part is how he plans his shots and knows what to accentuate in post to make it look animated. And on top of that the lighting, color correction, backgrounds, transitions, sound design etc. is all extremely well done. Man's a beast.
The effect is created by speeding up the frames where he actually moves a lot, and then running the ones where he moves very little. Also, he moves as little as possible outside certain points - when he DOES move, it's in a full-body movement. Basically no "medium" amount of movement, it's either full or almost none. Juxtaposition.
This. Like yeah it's also lots of editing work afterwards, but the sheer forethought into planning the movements needed. He is setting up fantastic animated key frames with his own body. The understanding of silhouettes and composition you need to contort your own body for these clear reads. It is disturbing and pleasing all at the same time
I can't stop watching everything this guy makes. All his animations are of outstanding quality.

God the audio is SO good and such a major addition to the style and feels so important to the design I could not imagine it without the audio.
I thought part of the sound design was taken from disco Elysium for a hot minute there, I went and checked just to be sure, and yeah sure enough I was wrong.

I can´t agree more with you. Everytime i see his videos, i simply get a mental bo*er from them. Its soothing in every way and reflects perfectly what´s happening in the world.
Experience tells me that with this kind of dark, brooding, larger-than-life modern preaching style, it's only good in small bites. A feature length movie in this style would simply get really boring and redundant, and feel full of itself on the 10 minute mark.
So yeah, better stick to short youtube videos anyway, even if the feature length movie in this style wouldn't be a budget black hole.

There is a beautiful darkness and uniqueness to it that would be amazing for a horror film since many horror films stay within the same aesthetic of dark creepy house or something along those lines, it's a change of pace and would be super intresting in terms of world building, I've always wanted to see an animated horror movie and this choppy almost stop motion feeling, gives me that satisfaction in a way. As a movie I agree it wouldn't fit but if given enough thought I think a full length movie would be pretty damn phenomenal

This guy probably spends hours between takes, and even more so drawing in his personal touches and editing it all into his style. It's the most stylized and original take I've seen in animation as a whole (besides my psychedelic guilty pleasures).

The Fact That James Lee Makes A Longer Than 3 Minutes Video Is Just Amazing
The fusion of live action and animation is so damn good. I never know if I’m looking at a real dude or his CG clone and that blurred line is so crazy. Easily one of the top 5 most creative UA-camrs. This content is just phenomenal.
The breakdown at 3:10 is powerful. Peoples anxieties and traumas are amplifying emotions which is reflected when he loses his job after his delusion. Its not an excuse to be a prick, but it gives a bit of an explanation to why people are flocking to such extremes. Well done as always Mr Lee. Well done

It's a mix of geometric design with minimal curves, paired with cartoon exaggerated motion in the animation. It can be observed in Tarboy via the character design and mouth movement, and in James' live action where in his acting he exagarates lip movement...
@@r603burakkusuta2 id say that he acts in slow motion for smooth acting and speeds it up so that his movement gets even smoother and fast. Then he turns the framerate down making it even smoother. Kind of replicating rubbermation and cartoon animation.

This video has roughly the same message that "End of Days" by Vinnie Paz does, in that it's basically saying that you should formulate your own conclusions and do your own research, instead of just believing whatever someone else spoonfeeds you, be it government or conspiracy theorist.
