I've concluded since this video that it's probably my test unit - putting it in the case doesn't activate mono mode (it keeps playing and I can still use the controls), which to me, is not a proper implementation of mono mode.
@@gearupaaron You have to place one earbud in the case and close it to activate mono mode. If you just placed one earbud in the case and had it open, it will stay in stereo mode.
Great review. I ordered the Life P3 the day they came out, I haven't received them yet; however, I am having buyers remorse. I'm contemplating upgrading to the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros. For sound quality, is the Liberty Air 2 Pros worth upgrading to?
No. I ordered both at the same time and use both to see which I rather have. Pick the Life P3. It is cheaper. Have more features. Slightly louder and better sound. It has more bass. I am returning the Liberty Air 2.
I returned my LA2P’s after about three weeks of trying them out. The LP3’s on the other hand, feel more worthy of being a keeper; they have quirks that I think make it more worthwhile than the LAP2’s, e.g. comfort, smaller case, cheaper price, etc. Coming from my experiences - this may be a placebo, but I could notice a difference with the P3’s noise cancellation & transparency mode, whereas on the Pro 2’s every time I switched between them, it felt like there was hardly any difference when switching all noise awareness modes, idk if anyone else who have owned both noticed or not. That all said, the only plus I feel the LAP2’s have over the LP3’s are wear detection, however the LP3’s I think have improved in other aspects over the LAP2’s. 🤷🏽♂️
@@BrianMadolid I could not get a good seal on the Life P3's. Without a good seal, I could get very little bass from them. I tried all the tips and even Comfy tips
I'm really torn between 3 tws earbuds right now, 1more comfobuds pro, earfun air pro 2, and the soundcore life p3. I hope you can help me with my decision, which of these do you think is the best overall? They almost have same prices, and that's all my budget can cover. 2 of them have apps, I've seen reviews where the earfun air pro 2 has buzzing, but i think it has been fixed with later items. I just can't decide, they all have individual features that make them better than the other, that's why I'm really torn. and if possible, would you recommend other options for the same price range and quality? I hope you can help me out, thank you, and have a nice day.
@@gearupaaron I currently have a pair of haylou gt1 pros, sound, connectivity, fit and battery is good for its price, but really lacks a lot of features, so I'm planning to buy new tws earbuds. I usually use mine when commuting, school, online classes, cycling, listening to music while awake, or b4 going to sleep, while doing chores, watching movies/yt vids, and lots more. I wanna know which of these, or if you have other suggestions, have a lot of coverage, where the earbuds don't fail too much in one category.
Aaron didn't come back with a response, but I'll share some notes from my experience. I have several SoundCore models, love their app, and all the SoundCores are great (Liberty Air 2 Pro, Space A40, Life P3i) and just with a different mix of features. I also have Jabra Elite 7 Pros, which are also awesome, and support multipoint. I have a pair of the Earfun Free Pro 2's as well. When I am puttering around the house, or go out for a run, what pair do I grab? Surprisingly, I pretty much always grab the Earfun Free Pro 2's. They have no app (Earfun has a good app, but it doesn't support the Pro 2's). Why? Well the case is teeny and fits easily in my key pocket of my pants, and also in the key pocket of my running shorts. The integrated "wing" is very unobtrusive but keeps them in well. They sound really good on the music I listen to, even on the default sound profile. The battery seems to last plenty long. The teeny case supports wireless charging, so I can just set them on my nightstand lamp that has a wireless charging base, so they're always full charged when I need them. They are comfortable in my ear. The noise cancelling and call quality is pretty good, about on par with the Liberty Air 2 Pros, and they seem to do a really good job with phone conversations, even while walking/running in a noisy environment, according to my girlfriend. The transparency feature works well enough to be useful. Also, they've *never* cut out on me. So they're not the best at *everything*, but they are uniformly good across the board, and the "pocketability" of the case is actually a killer feature. My three wishes for the EarFun Free Pro 2: 1) I wish the Earfun app would support this model; and 2) Multipoint feature, to roam between my PC and my phone; and 3) I wish there were more color options, like bright green or orange, to help me find them more easily when I set them down. OK, so add 4) An earbud finder feature, in the app, if and when EarFun adds support for these to the app. My SoundCore Space A40's are the other set I grab regularly, and they're good, but I prefer the sound of the EarFun Free Pro 2's, and especially the more secure fit in the ear and the super-handy, pocket friendly tiny case size. BTW, the SoundCore Life P3i is OK, but it's lower-end than the P3 (no "i" at the end) and has the fatal flaw that the case doesn't support wireless charging. So the P3i has little in comon with the P3, IMO, and anyway, I like the EarFuns much better.
I agree soundcore needs to release a compact non stem style earbud some what lik the life A1 with the same performance and features quality as the life p3's!
@@gearupaaron Yeah man if jabra can make a great compact anc earbud so can soundcore and im positive with soundcores app and the features the pack into there earbuds they will out due the jabras
Very good review. I have the new P3s and the Airpod Pros - sound on the P3s is clearly better. Noise cancellation is not as good on the P3s but is respectable. Given the price difference and the better sound, P3s win in my book.
Hey @ASURA - for SQ, the L2P, for size and portability, the LA2P. Everything else is pretty much quite close. And oh yes, if you prefer physical controls, also the L2P. Hope that helps some!
Trying to decide on the p3 or the liberty pro 2’s for everyday use and working out right now the liberty pro 2’s are for 68$ and p3 80$. Any recommendations. I also use an iPhone so i won’t benefit from the LDAC on the liberty pro2
Just a few questions concerning these earbuds, don't hesitate to give me our opinion if you got the P3 yourself. Hope @GearUP with Aaron will respond Can I run intensively with these earbuds or play basketball ? How strong is the ANC and how good is the transparency mode ? How is the soundbleed ? Can people hear what I 'm listening at a 65 percent volume in the train ? Which is the best between the P3 and A2 ? Are there any problems on these earbuds? Love your vids, you deserve more subs, thanks to all responses.
Own these myself and offer up my opinion. Run yes, basketball for sure if your just shooting hoops yourself, but they are stems and playing in a full contact game I would think not. I find the transparency mode great, I love that it has voice and outdoor options. When on a call the voice works great and when outside wanting to know your surroundings if works very well, not fantastic by any means but does the job well. Not a fan of ANC as it degrades the music quality while using. But for watching UA-cam or Netflix in the bedroom with my wife and a fan going it is very good. Not like the more expensive Bose or Sony types. But in a test at work my room gets noisy with the ac turning on and with no music being played and indoor setting on it was impressive. Hope any of this helps you. Have had zero problems with these, got them at launch and love them. EQ customization is just top notch.
So if you happen to see this, I'm considering a pair of SCs that sound just as good as the Liberty 2 Pro/Liberty 3 (with noise canceling & HiFi if possible), preferably not more than $100, what would you recommend?
@@gearupaaron Sure, but my problem is the size. I really wanted the Liberty 2 or 3 Pro (if I can save up) but am afraid they're too big. I just returned the $50 Edifier TWS1 Pros because even they were painful for me to wear. I also like some bass, which those seemed to be lacking. I realized after watching hours of reviews on 4 different channels trying to find the right fit for my needs, that the Cowin Apex buds I got a couple years ago are good on the sound & size, but I had been hoping for an upgraded pair of hi-fi capable noise-canceling buds lately. Any brand is fine, it's the budget I'm most restricted on ($100 or less). Thanks for your time!
Sound on the JBL is pretty good out of the box, but tweaking it won't be as flexible as the P3. ANC is close, tho. The retail price is where the Soundcore trumps the JBL unless you can find it at a similar price. Hope that helps! 😁
The Liberty series tend to focus on SQ, so that's a good place to start. My personal favorite is the Liberty 2 Pro/Pro Plus for sound, followed by the Liberty 3 Pro.
Great review of the new P3. Just a side note: I have 2 pairs of the Liberty Air 2 and the newer Liberty Air 2 Pro. I got the 2nd pair of Liberty Air 2 because I RMA'd the first pair for short battery life (3 & half hrs). Now they both only get 3 to 3 & half hrs battery. Soundcore Team sent me the new Air 2 Pro to Beta test due to my troubles w/ the older earphones. I do like the sound signature of the Air 2 Pro's, however I like the comfort of the older Air 2's; I have difficulty keeping the Air 2 Pro's in my ears even after trying 6 different eartip sizes. Haven't tried the Spinfits yet.
@@gearupaaron I may wait a little longer to see what's coming out in the next few months from 1More, Sony, Earfun, Sennheiser, Shure, Klipsch(overpriced) etc...
Is there any better earbuds with stuff like ear detection and every single feature like anc, the seal etc. Is better that's below £100? I'm thinking of getting these
Early black Friday deals are live and there are offers on Liberty Air 2 Pro and other models. You might want to check out. I was confused between P3 and Air 2 Pro. But since Air 2 Pro was cheaper during early back friday deal, i went for that.
I had the p3 some time ago. The only thing i never liked about it was it doesn't get loud enough. I don't know if it has something to do with the one i bought.
I loved "I'll probably ignore it" under your breath. Hilarious.! Thanks for posting. :) it definitley helps... so now on to Liberty 3 pros... or should I wait for "4" to come out later this year?
It's a long wait, but if you don't mind holding out, then the 4 it is! 😂 Thanks for watching, btw, and if you haven't already, please consider subscribing and sharing GearUP with people you know 🙏🍻
I'm looking for something with more Bass then the Airpods Pro or Galaxy Buds+ but the Buds+ are really harsh on my ears (in your face, grainy/distorted, I assume its the mids/treble). Would these or the Air 2 Pro work for that use case? I like the fit/ANC of the Airpods Pro.
I need some help I just got the life p3 and I had the liberty 2 pro already and the soundcore app doesn't let me add the life p3 is there a way to add the life p3 to the app Thanks
Hey Bruce - this happens to me sometimes. What usually helps for me is simply rebooting the phone and/or reinstalling the Soundcore app (I had to do the latter once in the past year). Sorry about the late response.
@@gearupaaron I did figure it out and I testes the p3 against the 1more comfort buds and have to say 1 more beats the p3 hands down cause even without a EQ the 1more sounds so much better and thank you for you answer and your videos are great
Nice review! Could you settle one thing real quick... Is 'coral red' more red or pink? I don't mind a lighter, brighter shade of red but I've heard comments saying these are more pink. I'm a man who loves his reds (not darker shades of it, though) and so would like to know since I live in a country where these aren't in display.
Good question - both are good, the big decider would be the shape of your ears. If you can, test both. Personally, I prefer the P3, even if the SQ on the Samsung is slightly better. Hope that helps some! 😎

@danidthesupersupporter The 4 is definitely superior in that aspect. And you never know, Soundcore might still sneak that in for Prime Day at the last minute 😝
Got my p3 earlier than expected. Very happy with them. No problem with touch commands except my bad aim. Find the bass with some minor eq tweaking to be fantastic. Have to lower the treble and hi mids.
Amazing review as always! 🙌 Which iem would you pick between the Jabra Elite 75t Active vs Soundpeats T2 vs Soundcore Life P3? Things I am looking for: -Sound Quality -Good ANC & Ambient Sound -Responsive touch controls -Workout Certified (Secure Fit & IPX) Thank you for your time! Keep up the amazing work! 😊🙌🙌🙌
Hmm, tough question... If price is not a concern, then I'd say Soundcore (as an all-round winner among the 3), Soundpeats and Jabra tie, with the former having superior ambient sound, while the latter having superior SQ. Hope that helps!
I only tried soundcore life p2 after i saw a pretty good reviews and I didn’t like it at all the sound/voice wasn’t high enough, and the bass was terrible so I’m not sure about this
My wife has a P2, I just got the P3 a few weeks now The Life P2 is years older, completely different design/driver, and most important has no EQ/App support. They are not a good judge of the P3 in any way.
sound signature is s bad Noice cancelling is almost ok, effects the sound quality unfortunately Ambient mode is bad no possibility to turn them on without the case, only auto turn off after 30 min
The odd thing is the website says it does, and maybe the unit I have is funky, but when I tested it for mono mode, the controls still worked on the earbud that was charging in the case. I personally don't think that's mono mode when both buds are on.
@@gearupaaron I’ve just watched an review from “El Jefe” and there he said that is possible to use one headphone while the other stays inside the case recharging… So probably this was a defective unit or something else…
Like El Jefe, I tested the same thing, but went further and played with the controls on the charging bud that was in the case, and guess what - it operated the media as if it wasn't completely powered down as mono mode should.
I admit I am late to the party but here is my gripe. All these reviewers are so hyped up on this, that and the other thing but I've yet to see and or hear anyone even mention the fact that these earbuds in their current state of technological advancements are very environmentally dirty. Not one manufacturer has bothered to design these with replaceable batteries. They just die and go to a landfill. I really do love the idea of truly wireless but not at the expense of contributing even more environmental damage than we already are. If we have so much great technology then why aren't we utilizing it in a way that isn't fouling the planet? I'll probably get a lot of 'haters' for my comment but that's okay.
You are spot on, Jeffrey. I have major concerns about e-waste as a whole. A good start would be companies encouraging their customers to separate battery from the hardware, similar to what Oral-B does with their electric toothbrushes. But yeah, replaceable ones would be fantastic 😊
@@gearupaaron Yes, I agree but as of right now we aren't even given that possibility. At the very least the factories and/or the sales/support offices should at least be offering serviceability. In other words when the original batteries give out, customers should have the option to have the battery replaced. Especially considering some of these are selling for hundreds of dollars. No way I'm spending hundreds of dollars for two years of use then just throw it away. How wasteful!

@@gearupaaron You have to place one earbud in the case and close it to activate mono mode. If you just placed one earbud in the case and had it open, it will stay in stereo mode.
Wha-wha! Is that how yours works? I have a 2nd unit that activates mono mode with the lid open.
@@gearupaaron that's how my liberty air 2 pro work.. So I guess they follow same logic on all models😅

Please, your answer will be crucial.
About sound quality, which is better between life p3 and liberty 2 pro + (2021) in therms of bass also.
2 Pro+ 😁
Great review. I ordered the Life P3 the day they came out, I haven't received them yet; however, I am having buyers remorse. I'm contemplating upgrading to the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros. For sound quality, is the Liberty Air 2 Pros worth upgrading to?
Not really. The P3 is surprisingly tight. 😁

The ANC is bad
Hi, which one will have better sound, life p3 or comfobuds pro?
Im curious too 🤔
Good question - for me it'd be Comfobuds out of the box, and Soundcore for tweaking headroom in the EQ. Hope that helps y'all some.
Hi Vianne, thanks for watching... I have a question for you: what will you be using your buds for primarily? Commuting, work, working out, etc.
Wow excellent mic testing
Thanks, glad you think so! 🤘😎
Thankkkkkk you!!!!!
You're welcomeeeee! 😜

Very good review. I have the new P3s and the Airpod Pros - sound on the P3s is clearly better. Noise cancellation is not as good on the P3s but is respectable. Given the price difference and the better sound, P3s win in my book.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Eric - I do wonder how the slightly improved P3i is compared to the P3. 🤔
Life p3 sound quality is bad. How bad is then the sound of the airpods?
which to buy between liberty air 2 pro vs liberty 2 pro?

Hey @ASURA - for SQ, the L2P, for size and portability, the LA2P. Everything else is pretty much quite close. And oh yes, if you prefer physical controls, also the L2P. Hope that helps some!

Hi Jesse, depends on what your use of the buds will be. For work, working out, etc?
Just a few questions concerning these earbuds, don't hesitate to give me our opinion if you got the P3 yourself. Hope @GearUP with Aaron will respond
Can I run intensively with these earbuds or play basketball ?
@@Haymaker72 Thanks for your helpful response !
So if you happen to see this, I'm considering a pair of SCs that sound just as good as the Liberty 2 Pro/Liberty 3 (with noise canceling & HiFi if possible), preferably not more than $100, what would you recommend?
Within a $100 budget, those are pretty much the better SCs you can get. Are you willing to try other brands?

13:15 got to agree. Back when they made the first good wheel, some made more and even made them better and cheaper. Sadly they're still doing it
I would be curious to see how the soundcore life P3 compare with the JBL live pro+, especially in terms of sound quality and anc. Do you know?
Sound on the JBL is pretty good out of the box, but tweaking it won't be as flexible as the P3. ANC is close, tho. The retail price is where the Soundcore trumps the JBL unless you can find it at a similar price. Hope that helps! 😁
Looking for a new pair of earbuds and I have used the Liberty air 2 but want to upgraded but can’t decide between the two of these earbuds ??
What's your budget? The Liberty 3 Pro is just around the corner, in case you're interested.
@@gearupaaron if the price are close , which one you will choose, pro 3 or p3?
Which one is better in sound quality for listening to music
Seems like poor fit on the Air 2 Pro is a pretty standard criticism from many people and outlets. Think you might get your own P3?
@@gearupaaron I may wait a little longer to see what's coming out in the next few months from 1More, Sony, Earfun, Sennheiser, Shure, Klipsch(overpriced) etc...

@@gearupaaron I just like the opinion about the soundcore earbuds Bluetooth just want to hear about different opinions other people
Right on!
No mono is a deal breaker for me 😪
The odd thing is the website says it does, and maybe the unit I have is funky, but when I tested it for mono mode, the controls still worked on the earbud that was charging in the case.
And let's not get started on EVs. 😝
