    Hi Aaron, I've done the jump from the L2P to the L3P (it was a no-brainer since I own the L2P) and to be completely honest the lower sound amplification was a bit of a put-off since I enjoy listening to my music loud. The bass does not punch as hard as did on the L2P probably due to the lower volume but it was a feature of the L2P that I truly enjoyed. However, the LDAC addition with the Noise Canceling/Ambient sound mode kind-of made up for some of the lower volume shortcomings. Overall your review is spot on! Keep up the awesome work!

      Sadly,
      I too love abit loud sound for music purpose particularly.
      Well, I just opened up my l3pro last night & haven’t checked the sound signature yet.
      But, I've liberty air 2 pro & they sound sound awesome except some hiss on the treble section!
      Thank you all specially to dear Aaron

    I got this as a gift from my dad's friend, quite randomly, never heard of the name Soundcore before, but recognized the brand Anker, thought it'd be some cheap gas station earbuds but oh boy from the unboxing experience to my ears, it was phenomenon for something I had such low expectation of

      I think part of that is also Soundcore being good about trickling down features through firmware updates, so even now some L3P features are available in other models. That's a pretty sweet deal! Do you use LDAC? If so, what do you think about it?

    • @mallolollo
      @mallolollo 2 роки тому

      @@gearupaaron yes, basically I only use the LDAC when I listen to music because I take advantage of my amazon muisic unlimited and Qobuz subscriptions. the quality is already good in AAC but with LDAC if you listen well you can steal additional details and high general cleanliness on 24 bit 96kHz tracks. the only drawback is that in LDAC the batteries last only 3 and a half hours at most (without ANC or transparency) and I have to charge them often, the charge in the case happens very quickly I have not timed but I believe that when they are at 10% and put them in the case, after 20-30 minutes maximum they are already 100% charged. on the other hand, the case takes almost 2 hours to fully recharge. In LDAC then there are sporadic (random) disconnections that last half a second, more or less one every hour or 2 of listening, nothing serious (sometimes it doesn't happen even after 3 hours of listening ...). I did not do the EarID test because I used the test which is similar to the EarID of the MIUI 13 on Poco F3 in the sound options and I must say it seems more accurate to me and it created me a good sound suitable for my ear canal, and then I created a preset on poweramp to listen to my hi-res flac files with the mid-bass slightly emphasized leaving the treble a bit lower in the eq curve ... now they sound divine! sorry my bad english and thanks for the reply!

    • @gearupaaron
      @gearupaaron  2 роки тому

      Nah, your English is clear and I appreciate you sharing your experience 👍👍 The momentary skip or pause you're experiencing in LDAC mode isn't unique to your earbuds alone... I'm testing the 1More Evo (that's supposed to rival the Soundcore but at a lower price), and guess what - it pauses and skips momentarily too 🤷‍♂️

    • @mallolollo
      @mallolollo 2 роки тому

      @@gearupaaron i heard it also happens on sony's in LDAC ... so i wonder if bluetooth 5.2 isn't actually too weak yet to send 1mbps all the time ... i guess we'll have to be patient and wait for bluetooth 6 ... lol! however it is not a serious thing, in my case it is really sporadic ;D

    • @gearupaaron
      @gearupaaron  2 роки тому

      It's true - though not the same in severity between models. When I tested the WF/WH-1000XM3 and 4, they exhibited the same thing too, but waaaay less frequently than the Soundcores or 1Mores. It could also be our phones - many of them have older Bluetooth protocols than our earbuds.

      In the sound department, if you prefer warmer LP-like sound, the Sony wins, and the ANC also (just by a bit in the lows). For what it's worth, the Liberty 2 Pro sounds the same except being better in bass and sub-bass, as well as more amplification. As a whole package though, the Sony has lots to worry about, especially for the price.

      @@billnurse5321 The Liberty 3 Pro are plenty loud, but I would say the H1 is slightly louder at full volume. Difficult to tell as I don't typically run anywhere near 100% and don't want to damage my hearing so did it for less than a second on the same song! The L3P's are incredibly bright and I had to pull the treble down 6dB to be comfortable to listen to. The 6.4kHz slider is the big offender for harshness and the 12.8kHz for sibilance. 100Hz Bass had to come down a dB or 2, but 200Hz up a couple with the mids also needing a boost as the vocals are thin. Clarity is excellent if you keep a bit of treble brightness there at 3.2kHz and the soundstage is probably as wide as you can get in closed buds. ANC is also superb. Very effective indeed with bass and mids reduced probably by 40dB or so and better than Neobuds Pro
      The left bud has developed a clicking when moving around in ANC and Transparency mode. Waiting on Soundcore to respond.
      The L3P are keepers after 3 days of listening, tweaking and tweaking and tweaking the EQ. My ears are now used to them and all genres now sound good with my EQ setting.

      My review looks through the lens of (a) Soundcore and their long-going principle of offering quality products at prices many can afford, and (b) the Liberty 2 Pro (and Plus) with its original price and huge capabilities. If Sennheiser can price their new CX much lower than its predecessor the CX400bt, I believe other manufacturers can at least match the price of their previous model. Its not feasible in every situation, but $170 retail is quite rich for a Soundcore. The sad truth is, I'll probably get to the price over time and come to understand it as mere economics, but it's just a sad direction to head to.
