Even when I just started to learn the japanese, i've got no difficulty on this, because my Native language (portuguese) have the same. これ becomes "isto" この becomes "este" for male nouns, and "esta" for female nouns (the nouns have gender in portuguese and spanish) So この車 becomes "este carro". And about それ、and あれ, are "isso" and "aquilo", respectly And with NO, "esse/essa" and "aquele/aquela" ところで、教えてくれてありがとう！

Day 3 of relearning Japanese lol. Been doing Japanese ( As an American ) here and there. Then randomly stopped altogether ( thanks Kanji ) lol. Anyways, I am ready after a little step away from Japanese to come back full throttle xd. I get the main jist of Hiragana and Katakana... Kanji is my worst nightmare ( Tho in your videos, I have been thus far looking up the kanji and figuring out how to write em out using various sources ). Kanji's rough for us learners. But nevertheless, I shall endure the pain this go round lmfao. Love your videos. You explain stuff so clearly and provide great examples. Also love how you color-code the words so that we know whats what.
Hi misa-sensei! Im a bit confused on the 'anata' bit part. Why is it rude but when I watched some anime that has couples or married couples, the wives use anata to the husband? And the translation is 'dear' in the anime.

I'm not sure if this point is a bit higher in terms of level or not, but I was expecting あの's different use to be explained even if it was just for a little bit. In short, it's often used to refer to something that's already been mentioned before in a topic. Or also used to refer to something or someone in a slightly more secretive way. It's used quite a lot when you're trying to mention something to someone without a third party individual understanding who you're directing or talking about.
You are the best Sensei ,please when you make any video on a topic give some questions and answers sheet to solve on that topic because it really becomes hard to practise because again so many things come up and ended with nothing 🙏😔😕

I may be wrong but I think it's because you want to put more emphasis on the actual car instead of who it belongs to. To make it make more sense. I think it's because the topic is the car; the point you want to get across is that the *car* is yours, not their shoes or something. So you use wa, to highlight the car. However if you were arguing with the person over who's car it is, then you would say そのくるまがわたしのです, to put emphasis on the fact that the car is yours. But I may be wrong
Is it possible to use この while omitting the noun for casual speech? Like どの本が一番好き？ あっ、この！ [showing the book] Or would これ be correct despite the question being on the -の form?
