Thank you. Such a peaceful few minutes quiet admiration. Im left wondering how you managed to keep getting in front of the train? The roads must be much easier than the rails. And tomorrow they do it all again 👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧
Not often you see an old American interurban steeplecab electric (at least that’s what it looks like) still out on the rails! I know Iowa traction still runs theirs, but I didn’t know the steeplecab design was used outside of North America.
I think they japanese one is an original GE Produkt but at some time rebuilt. Carbody swapped from bolted to welded. 90+ years of duty is no Problem due to American simplicity and straight japanese maintenance!
What a beautiful place. If I could afford to travel I would come visit. I used to plow snow with a City truck. I miss it. Your railway plow is really cool. I would enjoy a ride along.
Till you encounter ice rain. Then again the Keyword is "Heated", and I'm unsure if the local Trams by me, actually utilize them. I do not know, however I recall an Ice Storm a few years back that basically brought that system to it's knees. Hence I'm a gonna guess, that ones lines aren't heated.
That's the E69, I guess. There are still five in existence, two or three of which are still used for museum railway events. Furthermore, there is the switcher locomotive SBB Ee 3/3 from Switzerland that also looks quite similar.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A clear view screen or clearview screen is a glass disk mounted in a window that rotates to disperse rain, spray, and snow. A clear view screen is typically driven by an electric motor at the center of the disk, and is often heated to prevent condensation or icing. Other common names for it include "clear sight", "spin window", "Kent Screen" and "rotating windshield wiper".

Can you make a video about pushing snow of an elevated railway for a hour? Most calming to watch the little parts in this one to see the snow falling down instead of to the left and right.
Very nicely made video. You clearly have the patience to lay in wait for the train to come to you.
thank you
It may be sunny BUT it is cold and windy so whomever made this video THANK YOU for a fine video and for braving the elements. Well done!!

Made by Westinghouse and introduced in 1926. They were renovated in 1956. Amazing little loco.
I guess it was used carefully.
It is modeled in N gauge by Kato, I have several on my Japanese themed layout
E69 in Germany also

@JargonFootprint exactly....
It's a Baldwin-Westinghouse electric locomotive ED221, and a JNR Ki105 snowplow car of the Ki100-class freight car
@@ricomon35 cheers thx...you are well informed...
It is manufactured by Baldwin Locomotive Works.
The red "steeple cab" locomotive looks a little bit like a Milwaukee Road ES-2 "steeple cab." Thanks for sharing!
And, here I was thinking, how it reminded me of German / Austrian Locomotives. Namely the of the Crocodile style of the 1930s.
@@Ichijoe2112 Indeed, a very shortened version of a Swiss Railways "Crocodile."
