I’ve said for a while now that if we sign a goalie from FA it should be Cam Talbot. Especially with reports of them signing Woll long-term now. He’s a vet, has lots of experience, he’s put together some pretty good seasons, can and has played way more games than Brossoit and Stolarz, he’s been a start, he can mentor Woll and it would only take a 1 year deal around 2-3 million to get him. It’s a no brainer for me.
The rumoured Woll extension tells me that Leafs are willing to risk going all in on Woll, and will get a tandem style back up like Lucien B from the Jets, or maybe Gustaffsson from the Wild or Stolarz. Talbot played behind a strong defensive team in LA, so his numbers would not stand up in Toronto, where defence is not the priority. Keeping Jones around if he's into it would be a good idea. As a fellow goalie, my opinion is that Woll is the guy, he's that good, but....... can he stay healthy?

Did leafs management say they were in on Markstrom? NJ gave up a first round pick, were the leafs willing to do that and have a big cap hit at a position they could go cheap with. Leafs are suppose to be in on every player in the league.
Nomore Ullmark Ottawa traded for him the Leafs better not keep waiting they need to get Saros or another team will get him. Ullmark was a huge get for the Senators. If the Leafs don't get Saros ASAP they aren't serious about competing for the Cup! 🏆 Woll & a backup will NOT cut it. It's Saros or bust if the Leafs don't shore up the crease they may not even make the playoffs. Woll is a big question mark... can he even stay healthy?🤔 The Leafs wait too long to get the big free agents they could have tried harder to get Ullmark they didn't show enough interest now he's gonna be stealing games for the Sens in the Leafs division. All these other guys outside of Ullmark & Saros are not gonna help them. The Leafs better step up & soon before all the top free agents & top goalies are gone!

Word is Calgary gets Marner Leafs get Andersson and Kadri. Cannot see Marner wanting to go to Calgary.

We have a Brock Worser who we have nicked named "the stick wiggler" because he wont hit anyone or go in a corner..he just wiggles his stick at the opponents and just floats around the ice for his entire shifts. Yes brock scored 40 goals...if he wasn't on the power play, he may have got 10 if he's lucky. Canucks have tried REALLY hard to trade Brock..but his contract is to high , not to mention it's the Canucks WORSE contract. Petterson gets a big contract and right away becomes useless as everyone seen in the playoffs. Vancouver learns nothing and drafts more soft sweds and swiss . Sedins in their days loaded up in points, but NONE of them won a Cup. Why would Vancouver make the trades...because they woke up?
If they don’t kick Marner to the curb and re-sign him for a bunch of money I’m done with the Leafs anyway. So that’s all I care about now: is ridding the team of the most utterly useless brand of hockey they currently over pay for
