Best breakdown of this song anywhere. Thanks for all the finger style lessons, the Hill Country Blues pieces and everything else you do. Your channel deserves far more subscribers. Thanks so much!!!.

Wow! Just found this and it's the best lesson of this song I've seen. You have some serious talent. I've been playing a simplified version but now can fill in the gaps. Thank You! BTW I was at the show you're using as the example, '78 Capitol Theater, Passaic NJ, and I saw him and Jack play this last week in Asheville NC, front row no less. Jorma's a national treasure.
If I could make a couple requests - That'll Never Happen No More and Ry Cooder's version of Great Dreams From Heaven would be excellent lessons.

Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams do a great cover. I've seen them perform it several times at Levon Helm's midnight ramble.

Great lesson, any chance of a breakdown of pistol slapper blues by Rory Gallagher?

    hot tuna brotherrrrrrr
Is a thumbpick necessary for this song, or can you get away with just raw fingers?
feel free to make videos for all of their music. Thanks dude

Thanks for watching! No the thumbpick is not necessary, but its a cool tool to learn to use. I started playing this stuff without a thumbpick and eventually I wanted to learn to play with one so I just started wearing one all the time until I got used to it.

Great video, but I think i hear at the end D C C7 B7 Em instead B C C7 B7 Em Although the old footage is blurry it appears as the same shape as the C but up two frets.

Dude there is a real bad ass bluesman on steeljannes Chanel called Delta Blues documentary. This guy plays Hwy 61 and I should have quit you. I wish you check this guy out and show how to play those songs. The guy is real deal obscure. Cary in Tucson
