Hi Adi. I have a couple of tender-drive Britannias that still run OK. I was after Oliver Cromwell, due to its involvement in the last day of steam in August 1968, and its connections with East Anglia, where I now live. As I couldn't find one, I re-mumbered/named Tennyson.
Hi Stephen I hope you are well Am so sorry for the late reply ive been busy interviewing someone for my channel Yes i had a tender drive one several years ago it was weathered and fantastic but sold it Am glad you got a brit now hornby new prices is high too high. It look like same as this too With out the extra stuff I appreciate the support from you. Thank you for the kind words and watching and commenting and support. Keep safe ARP

Hi Adi, you have touched on my favourite locomotive, I have seven of them and in four different gauges. You have done a fantastic review of this model, and real coal supplied ! I think a Crew might have been a better option, don’t you think ? I also put real coal into all my O gauge models and some of my OO models. Thank you for your very enjoyable Video, keep up the good work my friend. Regards from Ron. 🚂👍😃
Hi Ron I hope you are well Can i apologies please for the late reply I've been busy with an interview for the channel. I really appreciate the support and kind words As for crew i do see your point but i like to re review stuff in a few years time to see if they still as good as they was ect. Are you happy with your brits? Thank you for the kind words and watching and commenting and support Keep safe ARP
@@AdiPullen Hi Adi, no need to apologise my friend, yes the Brits are my favourite locomotive. My passion was to build an O gauge model which I completed in 1996, it took me 18 months to complete. I numbered it 70032 Tennyson because I lived in Tennyson Way all my younger days, I used to go train spotting in the 1950s at Romford Stn Essex. It made my day if I saw a Brit, fond memories for me. Regards from Ron 🚂👍😃🚂
Should have bought the preserved Britannia engine herself or her sister, Oliver Cromwell, lol. No, it's up to you. I've discovered pre-owned N gauge model steamies are cheaper to purchase. Yesterday, a new steamy of pre-owned status, from Rails of Sheffield online and made by Dapol, was delivered to my home. The model is in excellent condition, costing £79.50, and is preserved on the Bluebell Railway in real life: Tiny Terrier Tank Engine (also a Thomas character), no. 55, Stepney. Top that if you can.
Hi kelly I hope you are well Am not a fan of preserved locos in model form Ive been after a brit for some time now Am a big fan of William Shakespeare so i had to have it. I do have Stepney and a p class from bluebell railway Keep safe ARP
That’s a nice model and still holds up pretty well for its age and you got a nice accessory kit with it. Yes the new price is a bit steep if they have not upgraded the tender connection which is the only thing that lets it down really.
Hi Robin I hope you are well Yes steep 270 from hornby. Yes it a great model I can't see hornby upgrading it and looking at photos it has not been or a got the coal bag ect. Thank you for the support and kind words Keep safe ARP
