Be’lakor manipulating Grom to wipe the gnomes out fits nicely with my theory that Be’lakor was a gnome prior to his ascension.

Everyone else says groms cauldron mechanic was broken but I think it was amazing. The ability to buff my lads by cooking things I either bought from the river troll hag or found fighting other factions was just amazing. The scrap upgrade mechanic was just really lore friendly too.

I hope you guys do this into your 80's. There is enough lore to make it happen!

Would love a stream on Elspeth Von Draken, given her high likelihood of arriving in Thrones of Decay.

1:19:48 my favorite interpretation is that they made multiple attempts of steering the whole roof. Sending sneaks, wyverns, even whole shamans covens summoning the hands of Gork and Mork. It was a long losing espionage battle of defending ulric’s roof wood tile by tile.

I'd really like an episode on gods. They come up a lot and its often mentioned that they don't work how a lot of fans think they do. And knowing what they are and how they work would be great context for most other topics that are covered.

Thank you for the stream it was really interesting and I had no idea Grom's story went that deep. I had a minor on objection, if you will, to the hypothesis of Be'lakor being the one impersonating or whispering into Blacktoof's mouth. Why wouldn't he lead Grom's Waaagh into Albion and the Citadel of Lead? Wouldn't that be a much easier and, arguably, equally important target?

Who or what is the Warhammer Fantasy equivalent to Santa Claus and/or Krampus? Can that be a future episode?

I don’t think the end times should happen because people can’t set aside their differences. I think that would be silly because that’s what order does in every end times scenario. They get together, set aside their differences and win the day because frankly, chaos being inevitable seems more like propaganda than prophecy to me in warhammer fantasy. For all the strength of Chaos, order is incredibly strong. If it was order trying to destroy the world and chaos defending it I’m sure the Slann alone would have it done in a day.

Man, one of the biggest bummers in 40k's translation of Fantasy races is that Goblins don't really exist. Like, there are grots, but theres no Skarsniks or Grom's or Forest Goblins or anything like that. They're just the Orks labourers.

What happens to the greenskin spores in the empire? I understand they have forest goblins and the like, but whenever a big greenskin horde attacks, its always from the outside of the Empire, coming over from the Badlands or something. But if Grom nearly wiped them out, shouldn't the empire be riddled with Orcs?

In terms of numbers how big is a Waagh. 10,000s or 100,000s
How big is a regular Waagh?
How Big is a really big Waagh? (Like Azhags or Grimgors
How Big is a Mother of All Waagh (Ironclaw or Grom for example)

    • @ASpaceOstrich
      @ASpaceOstrich 6 місяців тому

I'd imagine millions in some cases. And not just their starting numbers, but as they take losses, new greenskins would be pouring in, possibly even including those grown from spores shed by the waaagh in question. I don't know how long it takes Greenskins to gestate, but Grom was going for decades.

I don't like seeing the 40k stuff slipping into warhammer fantasy. Having all elven souls be eaten by slaanesh doesn't make sense for the setting. In the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, and there is almost nothing that can be done to fight chaos that doesn't also feed chaos, but in Fantasy the dark gods simply aren't that powerful.
They were held off for thousands of years, long enough for new gods to form and directly oppose them, and shelter their people without needing to control them. That's what allows those people to live without the terrifying zealotry and rigid caste systems of 40k , and to meet, and mingle, and form long lasting alliances instead of needing to kill each other on sight.

grom just seems like such a nonissue. Hes basically a less dangerous troll. If you can kill a troll you can kill grom even easier, just use fire im sure everybody has fire at this point in history.
