- hi guys,
this video shows how to get your lawn ready for the summer hot weather.
A few lawn tips in there as well.
I’m using the cylinder lawnmower and an old hand seed spreader to distribute the fertiliser.

Lawn is looking fabulous. Deep green and nice and even. Good job
Thanks mate, I think the dethatch and raking has made the lawn come back even better 👍
@@unionjack100980 Absolutely. It's always surprising when you de-thatch how much rubbish comes out even though the lawn looks quite good and you wonder if it's worth doing. Be good to see what affect the fertiliser you put down has in a week or so. All the best.
@@a.c.1474 I will keep you updated, didn’t put much fertiliser down but I do do it quite regularly 😃
Lawn looking good. I did a light scarify middle of last month and it seemed to hit the poa hard. Hope the you are winning the poa fight. Good hot weather tips 👍
@@grahammacklam4736 thanks graham, lawns are looking loads better after the rain we’ve had. The poa situation is much better, I will update soon on how things are progressing 👍
Are you planning to do any autumn renovation work this year fella? Ahhh yes you are, teach me to comment half way through a video!
A scarification, over-seed, top dress. It’s looking good but so was mine until about a week ago when I reno’d. Did a bit of levelling where I get water flooding the lawn to try and improve things. Chucked a bit of fresh pm51 down with some aftercut mixed in for its starter fert properties and spread a spot of Jack’s magic to top dress, heavier with both seed and dressing on the levelled area’s.
Good work geezer 👌
Your hard work will pay off for sure. After all this rain we have had my lawn has thickened even more so I’m thinking I’m just going to be just seeding where the dogs have killed the grass however as we start to get towards autumn my lawn will get more shaded from trees so the lawn might thin out, that’s something I will keep an eye on and overseed if needs be.👍
Hi, where do you buy your fertilizer?. There is such a variety on the market, with prices to match. ICL fertiliser from a company in Glasgow cost around £60 including delivery. OUCH. it is supposed to be the best!! 👌😭
Hi ray, thank you for watching, I got the fertiliser from Boston seeds last year last year but I can’t remember how much I paid, don’t think I paid that much but prices generally have gone up blaming COVID or brexit. Hope this helps and take care👍
