Well it sure did fly better once you adjusted it man. Great looking airplane. Really nice one to display at home as well. Thanks for sharing brother. Thumbs up
You definitely broke the adage... "A nose heavy Aircraft flies badly, a tail heavy one Doesn't fly!!" Great piece of flying, Brent! YOU'RE having weird weather?? Here in the Desert, it's 36° (6:30am), and has been raining for THREE days! .... It's coming towards you! "Spirit of St. Louis" is such an iconic Plane! Cheap model too. I may have to consider one.
Thank you Carmine when it took off like a helicopter I new i had a problem lol luckily I have had allot of experience fighting tail heavy planes lol yeah the weather is crazy been raining a week straight now all the fields are ponds
@@AdventureTimeRC LOL I was expecting you to be buried in SNOW ❄ 🤣 I suppose ponds and mud are worse! I only had one experience flying a Tail heavy Plane..... a REAL one!! 😲😵 With tremendous down pressure on the Elevator and a lot of power, I somehow managed to BOUNCE in for a landing. ..... any landing you can walk away from, right?
Thank you very much Tom I bought just because it was a spirit of St Louis always watched the black and white movie with dad growing up then he took us to DC to see the real one great memories
What a great looking plane. Was cool watching you hover it against the wind, I would have planted it straight in the ground. My brain doesn't seem to do real life flight well. I can do flight sims ok but the real life ones I get real derpy real fast and that doesn't end well! Thanks for sharing and for all that for $100 is a great deal!
The second I saw it's attitude on take off, I was like OH NO, he's going to have to fight that one back lol. Any maiden that comes back is a good maiden and a better second flight!
Lol when it took off like a helicopter I new i had a problem wondered if I was going to get back safely for a minute much better after some manual adjustment thank you for watching
It's 72° here in NC..!! Nice unboxing, super nice plane.!! WOW, took right off.!! Even on a windy day, with a little adjustment and you were right in there. I think I may be ready to fly. 😃✈
Thank you very much Brian flying is a blast I find it very enjoyable hope you have good luck the eflite apprentice is a great starting plane its what we train people with at the airport club
@@AdventureTimeRC WOW.! That's a big plane.!! I love how it teaches you to fly.! This may be the best way to learn to fly. I love it.! I will have to get one.!!
The apprentice is great has allot of helpful features like a panic button that levels out the plane when you're in trouble i would suggest studying the instructions for the radio very carefully wrong setup is why allot of people have bad experiences with flying and also this plane has replaceable parts so it can be repaired
Well, this is a treat! The Ryan NYP is an important aircraft, and this model of it looks really good. You really had to work some to bring it home into the wind, even after you sorted out the trim problems!
Thank you Del yeah there was a bit of a breeze but not to bad if it was a larger plane I don't think the wind would have bothered it much really great model they did a excellent job on it
Hi, looks like a nice electric model aircraft, although, I think day of the flight, it was perhaps a bit too windy for the model. Still, you managed to control the model well. Nice one my friend. 😊😉😊
Thank you John lol we have a saying at the air club in ohio if you don't fly in the wind you don't fly its always windy here i just make the best of it when I get the flying bug i gota go😅😅😅
@@AdventureTimeRC next time I need to put weight to the front. The way I build it I can only add weight... The price I have to pay when changing existing plans to my needs 🙄

I was looking at that..
Includes the gyro or the automatic pilot option?
I build a bf109 out of depron. Pretty big. Around 1200mm but I had it also tailheavy... A horror to fly. Minor damage when landet
I have built a few heavy airplane they can be quite the hand full

That's a bit too nice to fly, I would be scared to do too much damage.
Thank you Malcolm it does look nice I love seeing it float by
