    World leaders mourn Meles
    Zenawi
1.Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki called Meles a "pragmatic
and visionary" leader who helped stabilise his country and
placed it on the path of economic growth, adding that his
    death is a "devastating loss".
2......."Meles played a key part in brokering peace efforts
between newly independent South Sudan and its former
civil war foe Sudan, a role praised by South Sudan's
Information Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin.Benjamin said."To South sudan . it is a sad
    story.
3........he said.Uganda was "shocked and saddened"
by the death of Meles, said Asuman Kiyingi, state minister for
regional cooperation, adding it was a "big loss for the whole of
Africa".""He has been so instrumental in finding solutions to
African problems," Kiyingi told AFP, noting Meles' support for
African Union forces battling Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab
insurgents in Somalia.Ethiopian troops invaded Somalia for a
second time last year -- after a US-backed invasion in 2006 -- and
Ethiopia is supporting an AU force's fight against the Shaabab.
4.British Prime Minister David Cameron praised Meles "as an
inspirational spokesman for Africa on global issues", who
had "provided leadership and vision on Somalia and
    Sudan.
5..South African President Jacob Zuma praised Meles as
"a strong leader, not only for his country but on the African
continent.""It is an absolute tragedy for Africa
6."The government and the next prime
minister should take the opportunity for change represented by
the succession of Meles Zenawi to move towards a greater respect
for human rights," Claire Beston, Amnesty International's Ethiopia
    researcher told AFP.

@Nuredin Adem Wow! Your hatred and idiocy are coming through loud and clear. You make Ethiopian problems to be an ethnic one. But Ethiopian problem is a class and elitist related struggle. The solution should have been creating a strong and vibrant democracy that equalizes everyone, no matter which region they come from; and grow each region equitably according to their needs. For this you need an outstanding leader (not an autocratic wimp like meles) to rally political institutions around these ideals.
You sound like your stupid brother Shimelis Abdisa when you say you want to break neftegna backbone. There is nothing to break. There are only groups of people who would like to see a united and strong Ethiopia… united we stand, divided we fall.

"We believe democracy cannot be imposed from outside in any society. Democracy is the expression of a sovereign people. To impose it from outside is inherently undemocratic. Each sovereign nation has to make its own decisions and have its own criteria as to how they govern themselves."
"I believe democratic forms of government are applicable everywhere and are better than the alternatives. And we feel that countries and peoples can share their experiences to help others to democratise. So that is all to the good. "When it becomes a problem is when countries pretend their foreign policy is based on democratisation when this is clearly not the case. For all the challenges in Zimbabwe, for example, it is a bit of a stretch to say it is less democratic than some of the sheikhdoms of the Gulf. But none of the sheikdoms has a problem visiting Europe.

"If it were to be presumed that how democratic a state is will determine its relations with other democratic states, the presumption would be false. You cannot act on this basis. "Naturally some countries do not even try to democratise and they deserve to be criticised. But those that are trying should be criticised on their own criteria, not that of outsiders. When the criticism becomes judgmental, it begins to affect relations." The great PM Meles

He was one of TPLF's top leaders as a gurellia fighter. After the totalitarian communist regime of ethiopia overthrown by the joint fighters of EPLF (now Eritrean despotic regime ) and TPLF in 1991, he became a prime minister of ethiopia for twenty years until his unknown and mysterious death in 2012. Despite English language is his third language and he didn't grow up in English speaking country, it is incredible to see his well mannered English speech command capability and flow of his ideas without breaking his points. After he died, ethiopia seem too nearly die living in a situation of survival condition indicating that the former EPRDF government mainly led by TPLF was politically corrupt which caused it to its final collapse in 2018 primarily through the uprising of Oromo youth and secondly through the Amhara people.
** It is true that ethiopia's current politics is not about national sovereignty and national unity. They just use it as a cover for their political agenda. Had they had a concern about ethiopia's national unity and territorial sovereign integrity, they would have challenged Ahmed government of ethiopia for deliberately allowing the Eritrean despotic regime to conquere Tigray region areas and probably the Al fashiqa fertile area retaken by Sudan from the Amhara region as the Amhara people claim it was part of their territory.
