Now imagine this alright. Imagine if Darth Vader was never teased or shown in the movie, and were sitting in our seats wondering what’s going to happen, then we see this seen... it would have been so much damn better.
Man anakin's dark deeds is such an amazing theme. Really adds that tension and intensity to a scene, clone wars was a great example when they used it for order 66
Much better than the original mate, and timed perfectly. Anakin's Dark Deeds should be his main theme in my opinion. It's really powerful and fits his tragic character a lot more.
Well, that's difficult to say. Dark deeds is Anakin his theme when he tragicaly transitioned to the dark side. However Darth vader is not Anakin he killed him (according to vader himself) Which is why the theme could not be used by williams because its someone else's theme.
Technically, Vader making Anakin into another person was his way of coping with doing all these bad deeds. Therefore he says he killed his good side. But yeah I see what you mean.
I personally like the "hope" theme (the original music) for this scene, it transmists more despair, and also that theme has Vader's theme in it (during the corridor secquence, camouflaged in), for me it's a better fit.
The original is good, but if they've used this music instead, at 0:00 I would immediately be in state of alert in the cinema watching this for the first time, knowing some serious shit involving vader would happen. Then at 0:48 I'd simply start to cry
This should be Vader theme, Dark,Powerful and tragic like his persona This is the way Vader should be in every media, An unstoppable and full of hate force of nature a freaking creature that strike fear in someone heart and remind you that: "There is no escape" Darth Vader
Good job, I think if you would have emphasized the “Open Fire!” And “Help Us!!” Lines alittle more it would have helped blend it alittle more and give it an overall better sound. This was still cool to see and hear tho!
I feel like the rebels firing out of fear and impulse as soon as Vader turns his lightsaber on as being more fitting. should have left the line out in the original movie.
@@dilung4250 I'd say them being paralyzed with fear until someone screams to open fire is much more interesting. It showcases how rare and terrifying of a sight Vader was much better than them just opening fire as soon as they see him, which would be a more appropriate reaction for seeing an imperial soldier.
I’ve seen other versions of this that utilize the entire Anakin’s dark deeds but the brief tease you have and then have it flow into “I’m so sorry” was perfect. Always leave the viewer wanting more
Imagine Vader in his Anakin form having a scene like this in the 2025 remaster of Revenge of the Sith. Where you see him a similar hallway in the Jedi Temple, killing all of those younglings....
This is a really powerful edit. It completely changes the feel of the scene. It's like you changed it from the rebels' perspective to Vader's perspective just by swapping out the music!
This proves how invaluable the original John Williams’s soundtrack is. The dark and boring rogue one has become alive and emotional. Actually this scene alone is literally the best scene in the whole movie.
Magnificent.. just magnificent.. I wish they had used this track in the actual movie and timed it perfectly like the way it's been done here. Wish this was the Canon version, only true fans and creative artists like this can make something so excellent.. don't misunderstand.. I loved Rogue One.. but this version with Vader's entrance in combat.. just awesome. Well done 👏👍
I love how Star Wars has really been emphasized lately on how much of an actual force of nature Vader/Anakin was. Clone Wars S7 seeing how he effortlessly treats droid armies that he was fearful and wary of at the start of the series. Rogue One and Fallen Order where he literally feels less like a person and instead like an unstoppable force constantly moving towards you no matter how good you think you are or what you throw at him. Like he’s a spirit or something in a horror movie that WILL kill you if it gets ahold of you but that you can’t physically harm no matter what you do so you just keep running. Sort of like the Terminator in the first movie. This soulless, emotionless machine skeleton that just looks like a man and is always pursuing you no matter what you do. No matter if you need to stop and rest. He’s still coming for you and you are not going to beat him in a fight. Lol like not you have the smallest chance of beating him. That if you give it everything you’ve got, if you fight him without any tricks he WILL kill you😅. That’s how I want him to feel and I’m glad we’ve been getting that more often when they go back to Vader.
I wish this was in the movie... There's no point in hiding from the audience that a Vader scene is coming up and plot is ending at this point in the movie. Might as well prepare the audience for what's to come rather than surprising them last second
God, I love the stillness of the audio editing, how you can't hear the rebels talking. I know it probably wasn't intended for any reason other than replacing the music, but it works so fucking well. The frantic nature of the mission feels so real and everything feels as tunneled as that hallway.
Now that Andor Season 1 has been out for a while, I really think that the entirety of Rogue One needs to be re-edited or at least re-scored. Michael Giacchino is a talented composer, but he was rushed and tried too hard to make Rogue One sound like regular Star Wars without being regular Star Wars, and the sousdtrack just falls a bit flat overall. Nicholas Britell did such an amazing job with scoring the first season of Andor, because he was given the time he needed to create something that fit the show and didn't need to sound like John Williams. I think Rogue One would benefit from a fresh score that does a good job of bridging the gap between the Nicholas Britell and John Williams scores. 😊
The impreals worked for the Sith. The Stormtroopers will always be weak to the Sith. Escaping from the Sith isn't never easy. That ship was attacked in episode 4 1:36

Damn its cool, idk if it works with the tone of the scene they were going for, but it really makes me want a vader stand alone, with that music in the background
Idk. I loved this scene and the music with the Imperial March is so good. However, the end of Anakin’s Dark Deeds gets me every single time. Going from the F to the E’s and back to the F’s for the strings is just one of the best sequences in music. I wish that they would use it more in the films, like when Luke is revealed to be a holo on Crait.
They really need to use more themes other than the force theme. Which they don’t know when it’s appropriate to use it. Like it should not be playing when some guys are getting blown tf up
If this was the only scene that had Darth Vader and they used this soundtrack it would’ve been worth it! Not seeing him the entire film and then his soundtrack and followed by his iconic hallway entrance
The first bit of the hallway didn't really do it for me on the music side of the house, but 1:16 onward just kills dude. Slightly muffled voices and everything. A cacophony of chaos, just how it'd actually be
The music really does change this scene. It was nice before, but hearing the same score that played while he slaughtered the separatists is just so much more impactful.
Now imagine this alright. Imagine if Darth Vader was never teased or shown in the movie, and were sitting in our seats wondering what’s going to happen, then we see this seen... it would have been so much damn better.

I think this music fits better because of the tense-ness of it. At the end it emphasizes the defeat vader suffered because of the plans being lost.
This is good, but the SFX and voices felt off a bit.
