The Mojo Band (Formerly known as Dr. Mojo) is one of the most in-demand bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Having played more than 600 shows to date, built a faithful following of fans who love to spend an evening with some good-time Soul, Funk, R&B and Modern Hits.
Cat Myers
Vocals
A nomad in her own sense, Cat started singing from a young age. After “Living on a prayer” in the military and becoming a “Jukebox hero”, she finally decided to pursue singing for more than just fun. Thinking “If I could change the world” she decided to use her talents to inspire young girls to pursue their dreams as she continues to learn better ways to “express herself.” Her musical influences are: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey SWV, En Vogue, Chante Moore, Billy Joel, Eric Clapton and the likes.
Gerry Della Bona
Hammond Organ
Out of the frying pan and into the fire, Gerry arrived on the Blues-drenched improvisational rock scene of San Francisco in the late 60’s. Applying a passionate playing style of the Hammond B3 to the relentless pursuit of the groove, quickly led to a tour with Steppenwolf, as well as sessions and recording with Fred Catero and David Rubison. Then still more session work at Music Annex which led to a CD with Huey Lewis. There followed a succession of countless touring and performing bands including 9-piece salsa/Latin group, prog and hard rock, blues real book and fusion jazz. Humorous stories? You bet! That, he’ll gladly share over a pint of Guinness.

Joseph King
Guitars
Inspired by his parent’s love of music, Joseph’s musical journey started at age 5 on piano, moving on to guitar at 9. Having recorded and performed with various Bay Area acts, Joseph has extensively toured nationally, and as a solo musician competed in guitar competitions at an international level. Focusing on versatility, Joseph has also done numerous recording sessions for various artists covering a wide range of styles.
David Nelson
Drums
A long time veteran of the Bay Area music scene, David has played with many top bands over the years, locally and also in Washington state. As well as the drums, David also plays several melodic instruments and employs his recording and engineering skills in the studio.
Mike McKaigg
Bass
Coming from a musical family of a long line of brass players and vocalists on his father's side; and keyboardists, guitarists and vocalists on his mother's side, Mike started playing trombone at the age of 6 and bass at the age of 15. Mike surrounded himself with other players to hone his skills, from jamming with friends and in due course, participating in bands which toured the US, as well as overseas.
Adept to various musical scenarios, Mike is equally at home playing rock/pop/R&B covers, original rock tunes, brass band/orchestra, country, jazz, or as a pit musician in theatrical productions.
