Music by Epidemic Sound (share.epidemics...)
When I was in school in America, we said the pledge of allegiance every day so I kinda just spaced out when we said it. One time I was saying it and when we sat back down my friend was like “dude, don’t say it like that, it’s freaky” and so next time I said it I actually listened to my self and I sounded completely monotone and synced with everyone else so we sounded like we were summoning the eagle demon of America
But were you summoning and eagle demon?
OmG
That is me. But eventually, there was a kid in class who was saying it really fast. We started competing for who said it fastest. Neither won, but we finished in ten-ish seconds flat in the last year of going to that school.
Lol
Wow

His “American” accent is painfully spot on 😂
Did u get ur name from Jessie Vee if not look up her channel
paramedic587 no but I’ll check her out
thats because american accents are way easier than aussie ones
Je suis Vee
American accents are typically relatively easy to fake for most.

Ehhh fellow maple syrup drinking, hockey loving, flannel wearing lumberjack who rides his polar bear to Tim Hortons from the igloo they live in, whilst trying to keep the fact that it’s actually a film set away from the worl-- okay I’ll stop. 🇨🇦

Not so fun fact: During the pledge, school children would extend their arm pointing to the flag in what is now known as a nazi salute. They changed it to hand over heart during WW2. Never knew that until I went to the Airborne Museum in Fayetteville, NC.
Probably because it’s the “NAZI SALUTE” and before it was saluting the flag
No in my school in the US of A we put our left hand to our back and the right hand to our heart and we go.......
I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United states of America.
And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under god, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
@@idunnohalp9062
Why wouldn't you. They are just talking about some stuff with the salute before we were alive
Cool!

I laughed so hard when he started talking about James's broken arm😂😂😂
It's not broken...
Awesome 12/ (it’s a joke)
“So it’s a brain washing thing.”
He’s not that wrong...
He's not wrong or right
IT's starting to have the opposite effect on me.
I've had to say it so many times that I've grown to absolutely resent the pledge of allegiance
Certainly not wrong specially since a lot of private schools in Central America would force students to do it too. To indoctrinate us into idolizing the kingdom I suppose. It's fun to be a colony
Ya hafta know ’yer plege of allegiance kiddos’ cuz that’s being Am E r i ca n
A year later I just realised how shiny Jazza’s forehead is

Pleading the fifth is moreso used to avoid implicating yourself of any other crimes. That's why in tv shows and such people will usually say it when being arrested so they can't be interrogated.
Not really, when you are being arrested they read you your Miranda rights, the Fifth Amendment is what you say when you are asked in open court if you committed a crime and you haven't being arrested and you don't want to be arrested for it, you don't have to testify in court if you don't want to, it doesn't help you if you are being investigated by the cops only if you are asked in court. For example you allegedly get rid of bodies for the mob and you are called to testify if certain mob boss asked you to get rid of this body you don't have to tell them yes, I did, because that means you would get arrested for doing it even though your testimony would help that case, it would not be beneficial to you. So you plea the Fifth Amendment and let the cops do their job and investigate if you indeed got rid of that body and to prove it in court...
No, Kiera is right. The fifth amendment says that a person can't be charged for the same crime twice (double jeopardy) and they have the right not to implicate themselves in a crime (self-incrimination), along with due process, eminent domain, and a trial by jury.
munromister so how is she right, she says you plea your 5th when you are being arrested, and no when you are being arrested you are read by the cops what is called your civil rights or Miranda rights, the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney, anything you say can and will be used against you, etc, those are your civil rights, the 5th Amendment I already explained it to her, if you don't know the difference or if you don't believe me, by the way I am a paralegal, then wait till you get to college and you take a class or till you get arrested to know the difference. When being arrested they can interrogate you, but since you have the right to remain silent you don't need the 5th amendment because you can and should keep your mouth shut, you have the right to an attorney so they can't ask you any questions if he is not present since you have the right to be silent you won't answer any questions so why do you need the 5th amendment? the 5th amendment is only used if you are not being arrested since those rights are not into play so you have to claim something to defend yourself.
eve ruby it works for both. If someone not accused is called to testify they can use it to avoid implicating them self or if they dont want to accuse someone else. It can also be used to not self incriminate if asked if you committed the crime. And if someone pleads the fifth, that cant be used as evidence that they committed the crime
You actually can be forced to testify in court. You don't have to make any statements or answer any questions that incriminate yourself though.

Isabella C i am danish
I have a Californian accent.
Aka country accent
Camel FTW CA is in the U.S but it’s no country at all, it’s one of the states
so you technically have a American accent
How does one "American Accent"?
To plea the 5th is to invoke the 5th amendment which actually has many parts. The part they are referring to is the part which states "No person shall... be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself..." The fifth amendment is also the one which is responsible for the rule of "double jeopardy" which states if you are acquitted of a crime you cannot be tried for that exact same offense again. :D
Thank you!!
So glad someone made the comment!

I got "bought the farm" right for some reason because I thought that when pets die, some adults say that they went to a farm or somethin like that to protect the kids, so I just assumed bought the farm just meant a person died or they went into retirement or something.. like OH YOUR GRAMGRAM JUST RETIRED TO A FARM SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY.
FOZ AQ : I thought “bought the farm” referred to the cemetery plot where the person was buried, I.e. that person now owns a very small piece of land.
That's good! I went for the dowry, i thought it meant getting married.
James shirt says," Senpais can have Senpais to!"

I'm dutch, and the American saying 'going Dutch' is just right, we do it all the time. And if we don't split the bill that time, the other person probably pays the next time eating out.
OfficialMatszer
It's really sad how in the USA, if you reference anything from any culture you might be considered racist. I really like this saying and it seems innocent enough. Heck, you as a Dutch person said it was accurate and typical. Yet nowadays, by saying something like that (depending on where you are) you run the risk of hurting someone's feelings and suffering the wrath of angry social justice warriors.
Hallo mede Nederlander
Epic Derp yeah you're right. But even if they actually said something racist or discriminating, I wouldn't even feel that way and just watch the rest of the video. What's the point of getting mad over it?
OfficialMatszer best erg dat dat waar is XD wat zijn we gierig
OfficialMatszer woo fellow dutch peeps xD also yeah that statement is really accurate. Is why we have apps that remember who still has to pay you back. And yes Holland is Dutch...... As a woman you always ask to split the bil. Just assuming your man pays for you is kinda rude, at least as far as i know. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY (also if "going dutch" means being cheap i wouldve also understand)

6:49 Hey that's what my dad told me when I asked about the pledge of allegiance!
El chubacabra is more of an animal, and said to look like a coyote with mange. The name itself means 'the goat sucker' in spanish. They are said to suck the blood of livestock, usually goats. Farmers would go out to their pastures to find their dead livestock with puncture wounds on the animal's neck with their blood drained. Its a lovely folklore that originated in Mexico, however was brought to the US when we purchased Texas, California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
"You betrayed your country"
"No! Well, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmh... "
