I have never thought that I would want to crochet amigurumi but since I've started watching your videos I am interested. I don't crochet much anymore because I'm into quilting now but you are such a pleasure to watch. Your energy about the little critters has peaked my interest so I'm gonna give it a try.
I am 86 yrs old .I have been crocheting and knitting since I was 6 yrs old, My grand daughter put me in touch with your blog, and I love it. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Just before I watched this video I opened up your newsletter. As soon as I finished reading it i couldn’t stop thinking about how beautiful it was. The time is now!! Your letter was exactly what I needed at that time. I thank you for continuing to produce such beautiful content during these crazy times. I admire you greatly. Believe it or not when I read or watch your content it feels like I have captured a little bit of light, a tiny firefly in a glass jar, and for that moment I am free of all the stress and anxiety that has managed to become my life. Thank you so much for inspiring us all. I am sure I am not alone when I see you fill us all with joy. ❤️
Hi - Thank you so much for your videos. I'm actually a weaver and as I was downsizing and upgrading my loom, I found myself without a craft for a couple months. So decided to try crochet - and have fallen in love with amigurumi. What I'm really looking for are finger puppets that I can make to resemble the classmates in my grandson's preschool. The teacher could use them for fantasy play and then gift them to the children. Any ideas will be so appreciated. In my recent previous life (now retired) I was a pediatrician!! Thank you for sharing your talents with us, Be well, Chrystal
That's amazing!! Amigurumi is so much fun!! I have seen some amazing patterns for knitted finger puppets but not sure I've seen any for crochet, but I'm sure there are lots of them!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! 🧶🧶🧶
I finally have something great I can use my single hanks of Berocco Vintage yarns for! I’ve had these hanks in neutral colors for years. Thanks for this wonderful video!
Elise, I've purchased many crochet pattern books on Amazon, only to find out that finished works cannot be sold. Would you consider creating a video of the designers you follow who allow finished products to be sold (as long as credit is given to the designer, of course)? I was very happy to find that Pica Pau toys can be sold. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into creating content.
Oh that is interesting! I will definitely look into that since I think a lot of people would be interested in the subject! Thanks for the suggestion! 💜
It here is no control the designer has over what you create. You just can’t mass produce it for commercial sale. And you can’t sell the pattern. But you can crochet it and sell the finished product.
Good morning Elise! What bucketloads of treasures! I had my first morning coffee with you, watching this lovely episode! Then I signed up for your newsletter and went on to check and “favour” all these wonderful people on Etsy! My mind is literally blown away and I wonder where to start but I think it will be a close race between feminine icons and Mr & Mrs cuties! Always a sheer delight to watch you, listen to your generous advice and share your genuine enthusiasm and love put into what you give life to! With love from North Yorkshire 🤗!
Elise, thank you so much for sharing these outstanding designers! I went straight on Instagram and started following them. Your blog and UA-cam channel are great source of inspiration for me. Your writing is impeccable, your photographs are very professional and your projects are just gorgeous. Thank you for sharing it all!
Oh my goodness, Anna! Thank you so very much! I'm glad you like the amigurumi designers! But I had a feeling you all would! How could you not love all those adorable toys?! 😘
As ever, I adore your work! Steve is a darling!! I appreciate all the recommended designers to take a look at... Who is my favorite? Not sure I could say. It is a great joy to see the beauty others share with the world!
Great food for thought and new inspirations! I tend to get in a rut, so this is a wonderful source for fresh ideas. I’m glad my realization made it into your blog, everyone should know about it, I think. I was truly flabbergasted at the difference the yarn made in my final product.
Until you let me know how much difference it made, I honestly didn't realize it. I got lucky and stumbled upon the Berroco Vintage and I really believe its a big factor in my toy-making success! Glad you found some new designers as well! So much fun to get excited about a new project!
I love my special Size E crochet book that I had made. I purchased it from a designer on etsy. It's made into a beehive and bee since it's part of my UA-cam channel. It was one of the most expensive ones ($42) she offers because I had it made with my favorite hook which is a cover amour. It's so worth it. And it makes me feel like I'm adding that special love into each toy I make with it.
I just found your channel and I am in LOVE!!! Please continue making videos, they are SUPER helpful especially because I'm new to knitting and crocheting. Thank you so much for all you do!!! 💚
Hi Elise, Thank you so very much for sharing these crochet designers - I’ll definitely check them out - I’ve never heard of any of them so thank you. I just wanted to say Steve is a gorgeous squirrel 🐿 and I absolutely love the kitty sitting behind you next to the owl on the shelf. Take care and stay safe 🙏🏼💗🧶😻🦋
So cool, Sasha is my favorite. I love the bunny the best. I make a primitive style one with cloth of course. I couldn’t make any of these. Combining the cross-stitch is cool. So many cute characters.
Good morning Elise💕. I loved looking at the new Amigurumi designers and your video was lovely to watch whilst having breakfast. I'm already signed up to your newsletter and look forward to them each month. Have a lovely day xx
So many... so little time. Love all of these. I’m new to amigurumi. Thank you for all the tips. It’s very much appreciated. Love your channel. Steve is adorable!
Oh my goodness, i am so excited! I did not know any of these amigurumi designers. It would be awesome if these designers had their patterns published in books because i prefer to have a book, rather than having to get a copy printed of individual patterns. However, i will definitely check out each and every one of these designers and the squirrel that you made is first on my list. I will also sign up for your newsletter. Thanks, as always, for your very helpful and cheerful videos. 😊
Thanks so much, Shannon! I do like books too! One reason I do like the digital copies of the patterns is that you can zoom in on the photos and really see what the photo is showing! 😘😘😘
Thank you for your videos, like Irene said , they are a ray of light ! I follow many amigurumi makers on Instagram, but you listed 3 that are new to me . Absolutely love the Frieda Kahlo dolls! Best wishes, Karen R
You are amazing!!!!! I am going to try the doll you recommended. Ordered the pattern. You really know your art!!!! I feel so lucky to have run across your channel.
I have a bunch of that berracco vintage yarn. I found it at a local yarn store back in NE Pennsylvania where I was born and raised. I would love to know where I can purchase It online. I never thought to make amigrumi with them.
The Berroco Vintage is such a great for amigurumi!! It works up beautifully! Depending on where you are located the best prices I've found are on LoveCrafts or Jimmy Bean's. LYS's sometimes have great prices on it as well! 🧶🧶🧶
Hi, I have loved amour Fou, for a while, have seen some little owlet, reccomended before. The rest are new, i'll add them to the list. Thank-you. I like Kristy Tullus, Sharon Ojala, Sabrina Somers, Lilleliis, Lalylala, Laura Tegg, All about Ami, Twinky Chan, Polushka Bunny, Little Muggles, triple treble trinkets, Yellow Pink and Sparkly (Paddington worked out georgous), Suwanna's crafts Room and a lot more. Have used google translate on a bunch of canal crochet (spanish), one russian and a swedish pattern. All the best.
Thank you for all those suggestions! I will definitely check them out! Love finding new amigurumi designers! And that Paddington bear sounds amazing! 😊
Great list! Will be checking those out. Also, Valerie from OldSoulCrochetCo has AMAZING amigurumi patterns using Bernat blanket yarn! She has a UA-cam channel as well. Her patterns are very easy to follow with even video tutorials to follow.
I’m so glad I found your profile, I’m just starting out and find your videos so informative and fun 😊 I’m checking out your blog now and admiring the beautiful photos. Would you mind sharing the type of camera you use for your videos and photos? Thank you!
I am enjoying every video of yours and I just discovered them yesterday. Except for a couple, all these designers are new to me and will look up their work. I want to share one of mine , “little mugles”. She is Amy and on both Ravelry and Etsy. Her designs are very user friendly with very detailed instructions. I have made a few of her toys and were easy and beginner friendly. She was on the cover of zoomigurumi a few years ago. She also has free patterns to try.
I love your channel and am finding myself coming here as a treat. You are full of great content and I appreciate it. If I could kindly ask a favor? When you put music behind your speaking, I can't concentrate and find it distracting. Thanks, and thanks for all of your hard work.
Love all the designers❤️❤️ could you please tell me the pattern designer for that cute bear doll on your shelf with a scarf? I noticed it in the 4:50 minute.. 🙆♀️ Thank you, love your channel 🥰
Thank you so very much. I believe you're referring to one of my own patterns. You can search for Princess Bernadette Bear, it's a free pattern on my blog. 🐻🐻🐻
I love your granny square table runner that is behind you!! Is there a pattern for it? I have never made a granny square but I would be willing to learn to make it! :)
I know this video is from 2 years ago. I've been watching all your older videos as well little by little. But I have a question I'm hoping you will answer. I see that berroco vintage comes in #4 yarn and #3 (DK). Which yarn size do you use the most. I am really wanting to work on my amigrumi skills and I really aim to have my to come out looking almost as good as yours.
Hello! I have a full tutorial for a beginner amigurumi pattern that I designed. Hope you like it and that it helps! ua-cam.com/video/ASzIh5SOo68/v-deo.html 💓
You do have to wind the Berroco. I do it by hand and wrap the yarn around my knees and wrap it into a ball. I usually watch the or listen to a podcast. I find it very relaxing! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you for an awesome video, packed with alot of inspirational stuff. Can you perhaps make a video on how to assemble amigurumi projects. It's one thing crocheting all the bits and then not to be able to finish it looking proper like the ones in photos. There's not a lot of videos on UA-cam that is helpful. Thanks for all the informative videos you are making!!
Thank you! Check out Wolly Wonders and Old Soul Crochet Co, both on UA-cam! If you need really beginner skills check out BHooked! These are all great channels with tons of video tutorials! 😘😘😘
Hi there! I want to buy a Furls hook but when I went to their website, they don’t make a 3.5 mm hook. I checked your Amazon link and that description said 3.5 mm but it was sold out. I’m a little confused. Any suggestions?
Hello! I just checked Amazon and saw a 3.50 mm one. You may just need to do a search once you're in Amazon. Hope you love your Furls as much as I do! 🧶
Hello ☺️ Just been watching your channel, did no more than got onto the lovecrafts website an ordered some Berrocco Vintage Yarn, several actually, lol! 😂 . I’ve so far made my husband and brother a “clanger” from the children’s show of our childhoods, “Mikey” from Monsters Inc. for my husband and I’m doing a Zebra at the moment “Ziggy” the button Zebra by Kawaii designs. Another designer I love is Lydia Tresselt of Lalylala I’ve got several of her designs and hope to start them soon. Many thanks for your help and cheerful smile, stay safe. Elaine from the Highlands in Scotland
Sounds like such a beautiful place to live! I've been to Scotland once and went to Lock Ness, didn't get to see her though! I hope you enjoy the Berroco Vintage. It really is my favorite commercial yarn! And I definitely want to make some of the patterns from Lalylala! Her designs are so adorable! 💓
Found you channel watched it for the first time. Really good designers. Im only knew amourfou I’m only part time crochet amigurumi. My favourite is lalylala from Lydia tresselt. She had awesome designs.
LePetitSaint Crochet they really great love the book but make other ones too. But the other stuff you make or recommend is lovely too thanks for that and your channel
Hy Elise I missed PicaPau and Lalylala, I don´t know if you know them!? you showed so quik the names of the designers that i had to hold on the video many times to write down.
Hello! I have links to all the designers in the description box below! Also I've done a completely separate video all about the Pica Pau books here: ua-cam.com/video/sNzWAl5BosQ/v-deo.html Enjoy! ❤️❤️❤️
Hi, just wanted to share two fantastic designers I’ve recently come across after looking at your blog. They are both on Etsy, they are, Sandra Haupt of Dinegurumi and M.E. Herrmann of malaDesign . Check out their patterns they are awesome! 🤗
How do you create patterns when someone has done it before because they all use those basic forms etc? Yes I have made lots without using a pattern so I know I can do this…
The good news is that there are a lot of great yarns out there, not just these. I'll be doing a new video about how to find yarn in your own area that is great for amigurumi! It will be published August 20th, so click your bell notification if you want to be reminded when I release a new video! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow! I just discovered you yesterday. I don't know where I have been. I also am an amigurumi addict. I have to use all my miscellaneous yarns before I buy anymore or ill be homeless. Lol!
LePetitSaint Crochet I watched that one :) I folloe you, @snips.and.stitches, @lemonyarncreations, @storyland_amis, @theresascrochetshop, and @irenestrange. You gave me new people to follow so thank you! :):)
Elise, This was a great video full of wonderful designers. But, I got a little dizzy watching adorable creations zip by kinda fast. No worries though, it's a great excuse to slow it down a pinch and watch it again. Lol! So many cuties to see and be inspired by. 💜✌️🧶🐿️
Stevie is gorgeous 💕 I love Amourfou_crochet, Kedito and Manuska_crochet and I need to start making their designs! I didn’t know Sasha.koffer. What an amazing technique she’s using! Thank for all the tips and suggestions Elise 😍❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Just bookmarking that there :3 I bought some yarn at a store & I asked the shopkeeper what size hook I should use for it as nothing was written on the label. She said size 8,10,11 so I said, "Ok.Give me one of that". And she said she gave me size 8. I look at it now & realise while it is 'size 8' it's actually 4mm. I already have two hooks of 3.5mm & one which is 6.5. Should I give the new one away? It seems close enough to my other hooks
@@abisha6166 I would keep it. It's good to have lot of different hook sizes. Sometimes a 3.5 mm hook is better than a 4 mm for some projects, but you'll also find the opposite is true as well. I love a 4 mm hook for granny squares, but use a 3.5 mm for most amigurumi projects. Hope that helps!
I have never thought that I would want to crochet amigurumi but since I've started watching your videos I am interested. I don't crochet much anymore because I'm into quilting now but you are such a pleasure to watch. Your energy about the little critters has peaked my interest so I'm gonna give it a try.

Hi Elise; I'm new to crochet, I had done 3 blankets. I like your amigurumi projects. Do you have easy ones for a begginer? please make some. thank you
Hello! I have a full tutorial for a beginner amigurumi pattern that I designed. Hope you like it and that it helps! ua-cam.com/video/ASzIh5SOo68/v-deo.html 💓
Do you have to rewind the berocco? I avoid those hank type yarns like the plague.. but have heard great things about it
You do have to wind the Berroco. I do it by hand and wrap the yarn around my knees and wrap it into a ball. I usually watch the or listen to a podcast. I find it very relaxing! 🧶🧶🧶
Great video Elise...your hair looks amazing! Nothing to do with patterns, but hey!❤️
Haha!!! Thanks so much, Jenn! I'm glad I was able to get it cut and colored a few weeks ago!!

Can you perhaps make a video on how to assemble amigurumi projects. It's one thing crocheting all the bits and then not to be able to finish it looking proper like the ones in photos. There's not a lot of videos on UA-cam that is helpful.
Thanks for all the informative videos you are making!!
Thank you so much for the great idea! I will definitely put it on my list to do!! 🍄
Shammy Vanbiljon I found a great tutorial about joining by PlanetJune. She is on UA-cam, as well.

Hi there! I want to buy a Furls hook but when I went to their website, they don’t make a 3.5 mm hook. I checked your Amazon link and that description said 3.5 mm but it was sold out. I’m a little confused. Any suggestions?

Found you channel watched it for the first time. Really good designers. Im only knew amourfou I’m only part time crochet amigurumi. My favourite is lalylala from Lydia tresselt. She had awesome designs.
Oh I love her designs although I've never crocheted any of them!
LePetitSaint Crochet they really great love the book but make other ones too. But the other stuff you make or recommend is lovely too thanks for that and your channel
Thank you so very much! 💗
Thank you for your pattern love to made them gday
There are so many wonderful designers!! Happy Stitching!! 🧶🧶🧶
Just a comment: Here in Australia none of the yarns are called "Worsted". Can you tell us what it means or the (non American) description? Thank You.
Oh interesting! I didn't know that. It's labeled as a 4 weight yarn. It can also be called an afghan or Aran weight yarn. Hope that helps! 🧶🧶🧶
What is the Angel policy for amigurumi patterns?
I'm not sure I totally understand the question, I'm sorry. ❤️
hey I was wondering if there were any books you recommend for amigurumi patterns?
Here's a video I did on just that subject! 😘 ua-cam.com/video/6esZnHc-faY/v-deo.html

Hello mam I want to learn crochet amigurumi designing..how I can design my own crochet amigurumi pattern..plz guide
I plan on doing a video about that very soon! 💖
@@EliseRoseCrochet ok mam I will wait 🙂
How do you create patterns when someone has done it before because they all use those basic forms etc?
Yes I have made lots without using a pattern so I know I can do this…
I have a video about designing amigurumi here: ua-cam.com/video/ArmbAqxqzHg/v-deo.html Hope that helps! ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome, thank you.
I'm so glad you like them!! ❤️❤️❤️
I wish I could use the same yarn.
It’s hard to get here in Japan
The good news is that there are a lot of great yarns out there, not just these. I'll be doing a new video about how to find yarn in your own area that is great for amigurumi! It will be published August 20th, so click your bell notification if you want to be reminded when I release a new video! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow! I just discovered you yesterday. I don't know where I have been. I also am an amigurumi addict. I have to use all my miscellaneous yarns before I buy anymore or ill be homeless. Lol!
Haha!!! I know the feeling!!! I need to put sticky notes up all over my house to remind myself that I have enough yarn!!! 😂😂😂
How much yarn cotton
The pattern shares how much yarn you need. 🧶🧶🧶

Oh great!! There are so many wonderful amigurumi designers!! ❤️❤️😊
Elise,
This was a great video full of wonderful designers. But, I got a little dizzy watching adorable creations zip by kinda fast. No worries though, it's a great excuse to slow it down a pinch and watch it again. Lol! So many cuties to see and be inspired by.
💜✌️🧶🐿️
Sorry about that! ❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet not to worry, Elise. It's all yummy eye candy!

Stevie is gorgeous 💕 I love Amourfou_crochet, Kedito and Manuska_crochet and I need to start making their designs! I didn’t know Sasha.koffer. What an amazing technique she’s using! Thank for all the tips and suggestions Elise 😍❤️
I'm so glad you liked them, Eliso!! I just love that technique as well! Just beautiful! 🐰🐰🐰
What do you do with your Amigurami Toys? Do you sell them?
I mostly hoard them! Lol! I also give them away. I do occasionally sell them on Etsy. 😊
3.5mm size E
😊
@@EliseRoseCrochet
Just bookmarking that there :3
I bought some yarn at a store & I asked the shopkeeper what size hook I should use for it as nothing was written on the label.

Seriously, why are you shouting? It was unnerving.
My suggestion would be to turn your volume down. Hope that helps! 😊
Greetings from NC as well! 🤗 I have to ask. What skincare routine do you use? Your always glowing and shining! I love your channel!
Awww! Thank you!! I use a prescription retinol and Bobbi Brown moisturizer. I just wash my face in the morning and night with Cetaphil cleanser. 💖
@@EliseRoseCrochet Great! I'm going to get some. Thanks for responding! 🤗
