  • Kevin Durant can score at will from anywhere on the court, but his midrange jumper is what vaulted him from being an elite scorer to an all-time-great offensive threat. In this episode of Signature Shots, ESPN analyst Kirk Goldsberry explains why Durant's midrange game makes him impossible to defend. #NBA #Sports

The thing about a midrange shot is it makes you unpredictable and almost unguardable because first off if you can make a 3 pointer that’s already hard to stop because it makes you have to guard high up then gives you more options to blow past the defender for a layup or dunk then when the defense adjusts to that strategy and has a big in the paint helping if you can stop on a dime and do a hesi and pull up from midrange efficiently it’s very very difficult to stop you 1 on 1
