Hello, I use it on my sensitive areas and have not had any issues. My customers also have never complained of any sensitivity issues. If you want you don’t have to add the essential oils. Hope that helps ☺️
Thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 For every 1000 grams that I have in total oils, I measure out 1000 grams in sugar. The formula is in the description as well. Hope that helps ☺️
Do you end up adding more sugar than the 1000 grams? I find that it was still a bit runny with just the equal amounts. Do you not have to add the preservative to the whole formula including the sugar? Thanks in advance
Hello Belen, I did not add more sugar. I used equal parts sugars to oils. Factor in when you let the scrub sit it will solidify once the shea butter in the recipe sets. In regards to the preservatives I add it to my oils before incorporating the sugar. I would add the scrub to your container and you should definitely see a difference in a couple hours
In regard to how much to use. I used 0.5% the detailed recipe is in the description. I hope this helps ☺️☺️ Please let me know if you have any additional questions
@@LohmannSelf-care Good Morning! Thanks for tuning in 🫶🏼 I occasionally use it on my face, but not frequently. The exfoliation is gentle since I use granulated sugar. If you decide to use it on your face, I recommend limiting it to 1-2 times a week due to its high oil content. I primarily sell it as a body scrub.
@@LohmannSelf-care Since the product contains shea butter, it may melt if stored in hot areas. It’s best to keep it at room temperature or in a cool place. However, I do have customers in Jamaica who have reported no issues with melting. Let me know if you have any other questions! I hope that clarified ☺️
Hey Belen! Sorry for the late reply. So tumeric in general will leave a tint on any complexion. When I use my glow scrub I typically use it before my shower and let it sit and then I follow up with my soap of choice to wash my body. In regards to the shelf life, with preservatives, I keep the shelf life at 12 months. I hope this helps 💕💕💕💕
@@husnaabdi7339 Good Night! The shea butter will melt if it’s in an environment that is hotter than normal. I recommend keeping it in an area that’s room temperature to avoid melting. If you pop it in the fridge it will solidify back together. Let me know if you have any other questions 🥰
The conversion is a pretty simple process, if the recipe calls for 40% of an ingredient it transfers over to 40G. Pretty much 1% is equivalent to 1 gram. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions ☺️
Hi Latoya! Absolutely, feel free to customize it to your liking. This scrub is excellent for addressing hyperpigmentation and can also help to brighten and moisturize your skin. The exfoliating qualities of the scrubs assist in eliminating dead skin cells. Concerning the formulation, I'll create a video explaining the process of adjusting it for a smaller batch. I will have it up within the week ❤
@@imanilevyhello I hope everything is well with you I would like to make this for my son because he suffers with bad eczema but I'm not sure how to measure out percentages is it possible just in the comments for you to give me the measurements in grams or Oz please?
I did a double boiler method with shea butter and turmeric root powder. Once the shea butter melted down I strained the turmeric out using a cheese lot and let it solidify. I stored it in a dark container and just use it as needed. Also be mindful with the turmeric the more you use the stronger the color will be. I used about 1 tblsp but it’s up to you.

@imanilevy
This is your formula. I wanna add Distilled Water
48% Sunflower Oil
23% Shea Butter
15% Turmeric Butter
7% Emulsifying Wax
2% Turmeric Powder
1.5% Lemon E.O
1% Sweet Orange E.O
1% Bergamont E.O
1% Vitamin E Oil
0.5% Germall Plus
