Hi all, there's a correction in the ingredients list. Below are the correct amounts. Also please check out the description area for more helpful tips. Rice Flour - 1.5 cups Tapioca Starch - 1/2 cup (*corrected) Water - 2 cups (*corrected) Vegetable Oil (see video for technique)
I used to work in H.K. as a domestic helper. Used to cooked this kind of noodles with beansprout and cha siw ( hehehe sorry for the wrong spelling 😁😁😁) . So good. I missed it. And now saw this video of yours. Thank you so much....🙂
You make it seems so easy, but I know its not so easy to make it. Even following your recipe, it will take some practice before it is successful. Nevertheless your video shots are good and your instructions are very clear.
Great video presentation, love the natural elements. Okay, until today I didn't know I could even make my own rice noodles. I watched a video previous to yours but was not happy about the use of the microwave continuously. I use the microwave to heat foods to be sure but every once in a while I wonder if the heat I am feeling in my hand is leftover microwaves. Steaming agrees with me, as does your entire video, thank you
No problem, please follow this corrected ingredient list. Rice Flour - 1.5 cups Tapioca Starch - 1/2 cup (*corrected) Water - 2 cups (*corrected) Vegetable Oil (see video for technique)
I make these in the microwave if I’m tight on time. Gai Lan and Egg with soy sauce and white pepper and all of a sudden I have delicious pad see ew for dinner!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it. I've never thought of dehydrating them but you can give it a try. I wonder if the texture will change once rehydrated. As a friendly note, this is the corrected recipe below: Rice Flour - 1.5 cups Tapioca Starch - 1/2 cup (*corrected) Water - 2 cups (*corrected) Vegetable Oil (see video for technique)
She's taking notes 😁 thanks you both for watching! Fyi, if you decide to make it one day, there's a corrected ingredient list in the description area of the video.
Yes, it rattles for sure. It's the nature of the set up. The corrected ingredients amounts are listed in the description area of the video too. Thank you
It could be that you didn't cook it long enough or you put too much oil on the pan (excess should be wiped off). You should also strain the batter to remove any lumps. Stir the batter well in between pouring because the starches settle at the bottom.
Also, this is the corrected measurements for the ingredients: Rice Flour - 1.5 cups Tapioca Starch - 1/2 cup (*corrected) Water - 2 cups (*corrected) Vegetable Oil (see video for technique)

Is it a must to put the top surface of cooked noodles facing down on the oiled board?
It is not necessary, you just wanted to make sure the surfaces are oiled.
Nice.. just wondering how a family of 15 members will eat this noodles preparation will take a long time.
Trying ur steamer set up like in the video. The plate tends to rattle quite a lot? Did that happen to u
