As a brummie living in north wales it was great to see you enjoying the roads , mountains, beaches and cafes on my doorstep, left the rat race 14yrs ago and have never looked back , enjoyed the video guys, Dave you are a legend
We were there this week in Abergwesym. Road closed after Devils Staircase! Had a look at Llyn Brianne and came back up another road to the lonley post box/ telephone box to continue to Tregaron to find an artic truck stuck on the first bend. No way of passing. As the road behind was the "closed one" and the good lady didn't want to risk it we ended up looping back south towards Lampeer again and round aargh. C offee and Bara Brith in Tregaron 4 and half hours after leaving Builth....... Often use the Quatord stop on days out.
Absolutely brilliant I just the nc500 last week and on the why back to the south coast came down through snowdonia national park stopped at the ponderosa cafe and worked our way down through Wales what a beautiful place can’t wait to go back, great video mate take care 👍
Great video. Thank you. Interesting and diverse collection of buddies, lovely routes and excellent scenery. However, your editing is amazing. Award worthy in fact. Keep it coming mate. ATVB.
Brilliant video great bunch of lads by the look of it,lots more to see on my home Island of Anglesey👍 pen y pass is pronounced with the "Y" as the u in under .👌
@Stephen Hughes Aye, if you are going to do anything other than ride to Barmouth and back from Brum in a day, you can usually guarantee it's going to be 250+ miles by the time you get home. I hadn't planned it, but I'd done 320+ miles one day, and decided I wouldn't be doing that again! Not on a (very) old Honda 500 anyway.... :-)
Great to see from a drone perspective, lovely stuff - without ruining it for the farmer whose yard we go through I reckon your ‘gate road’ starts (or ends) at Trawsfyndd 😉
Nice vid and nice route, gentlemen. I fully intend to do a similar journey later this year, so excellent to see your routes and hear your comments, thanks.
Great footage yet again Andy. Hope we didn’t make you too late for tea? (Tregaron day 1). PS 3rd party insurance sorting damage to the GSA. Total bill £1604 👍
Good god ! your going round Wales and you are on bikes up to the hilt on boxes and gadetery and cc's, thought you were going to the far East and back !
I goto snowdonia every year on my bike. Some of the roads on your routes are places I've never seen . Is there anywhere I can get a list of those campsites you used please ? I always use lyn gwynant campsite but fancy a change. 👌 awesome stuff thx
Hi Andy, an absolute belter of a video. Really well put together. Some great tips in there for a newish blogger (18 Months) like me. The map view is something I have been considering for a while, is that an app? Cheers Dean aka MonkeyDixAdventures
Thanks for the video. Great content and enjoyed it very much. Hope you don’t mind me asking. Think your GSA is standard height with standard seat? If so, how tall are you and how do you find getting your feet down. Would appreciate your opinion if you have time to comment? I’m 5’8 and on balls of feet sitting on the standard bike with standard seat. With the lowered suspension bike or standard with lower seat I’m flat-footed but I prefer the height and ride of the standard bike so in a predicament 🤔.
I think Dave is so interesting, proper engineer and is slow to get his point across but could listen to him all day Shame he seems to disappear and hope it’s not bcos of dynamics within the group but keep them coming Defo could sit and drink with richard all night 😂 looks like a guy that doesn’t suffer fools
A good summary ! Dave’s range of expertise runs from “toolmaking to opera” … they don’t make men like that anymore! Great pleasure to be had from his observations on life ! Rich is ex -military… and like all ex-military, has a wicked sense of humour !
Well Andy and Dave, after spending that money on 1250's what's happening now...... they're being superseded by the new R1300GS ! New engine, frame, suspension etc.... oops !! 😂
I’m a Brummie too … I was born in Marston Green. My grandfather ran the Bell public house for over 30 years. Birmingham was the proud and dominant “engine house’ of the Industrial revolution and the heart of the fabulous British Empire. Worth reading professor Chinn’s compelling books on the Midlands. (I can’t help conclude that it’s heartbreaking to see it decline so very quickly imho)
is this what its come to. bet none of em have changed a valve shim under bucket or a cam chain in their life . bikers my arse probably got AA recovery. new tents freeze dried meals campsite!. makes me laugh. gonna complain cos someone kept me awake. REALLY! do us a favour take ya cars. stop in a hotel.
You’re correct I’ve never spannered a bike beyond basics as I leave that to the experts. BMW has their own recovery service so we don’t need the AA. Your version of biking is your version, you’re welcome to it of course. My tent is twelve years old BTW and still going strong. I can recommend MSR, better than a piece of old canvas if you can afford it 😁
@@andybcole fairplay. msr good tent. depends where n when. like a sleeping bag. "stephenson warmlite" benidorm? only having a laugh so sorry if offence.
Thanks for uploading Andy.

Great film of mates having fun and plenty of banter. Great scenery, filming, routes and content. Subscribed after watching this.
Cheers J G, I try and go for quality over quantity so don’t expect stuff all the time!
Great video lads glad to see that you visited my home town of Holyhead and enjoyed the stunning views of South Stack.
Another great film Andy really enjoyed that great scenery well done

We saw that sign as a challenge and took it anyway, it was passable and made it more fun 😂
Another great video from you all. The scenery looks absolutely amazing. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good trip. Some great roads and camp site look fantastic. Good to see everyone back in the real.world again.
Great video and good to see the valley up to the devil’s staircase. A hidden gem, and one of the most beautiful valleys in Wales.
the para looks bored shirtless 😄
That’s his resting face 😂
Great video as always, really enjoyed it. Off to Snowdonia soon so will check out your routes. Thanks for the great content 👍

Good to know - hate to embarrass myself being typically English!
We did B,ham to Ponderosa to Betwys coed,to snowdon, to Beddgelert,to Barmouth and home in a day last week can't wait for this vid
Certainly doable but the fun of the camping and banter is just as much for us :-)
@@andybcole we toyed with camping but commitments won in the end

Ouch! Good to meet you, cracking few days away that was..
Cracking little run that. Right on my doorstep in Shrewsbury. Where was the biker cafe that Rich found ?
Old Stores Motorbike Café at Pontblyddyn

Half the fun is in the packing 😂
Cracking vid mate, you certainly picked some great roads ;-)
PS,What happened to Dave,leaving early ??
Ride Safe Baza \m/
I was on a black gsxr1000 did I pass you when you were parked up in the valley just south of the Devil's Staircase? I waved at the drone!
Quite possibly - if there were three of us sat drinking a cup of coffee then most probably - it was Thursday 8th around 1.30pm...
@@andybcole gutted! It was Friday 2 July.
Andy, what model of Klim jacket are you wearing? Does it vent well?
It’s the latitude and yes good venting (6 in all). Goodyear round jacket but you’ll need a layer underneath.

P.S. don't say Wales.

What’s the cafe called. And where is it. Visiting snowdonia next week
Check the itinerary in the comments and the GPX file - it’s on there…
The title should have been "Some Blokes TALKING About Their Ride In North Wales"

I’d say at your height the lowered version would be more stable - I’m six foot exactly and when in auto mode my feet are (just) flat on the floor…

Hey fellas Birmingham in Alabama is a dump to. Some lucky fellas riding in the 🏴
@andycole you going Snowdonia in the summer next year?
Hopefully, it’s a favourite spot 😀
Nice video's say hi to Dave met him in cotswold motorrad.
Will do, was there myself this morning also 😁

What camera unit did you use??
A mixture, DJI MIni 2, Insta 360 One X2, IPhone 13 Pro Max, DJI Osmo Action….
