Tegan and Sara said on The Con DVD that before that album, the vocals for each song had only been recorded by one of them, they never sang in the same song on the studio albums. Live, obviously, they did sing the different parts in each other's songs. So if I'm right in thinking Tegan wrote this song then she sang it all; if the parts sound different it will just be because they were recorded at different times.

Maybe it's not good for one's first conscious moments to be of drowning in a bathtub... Or maybe we both drowned in previous lives and the fear of water somehow carried over to this one :o In any case, I'm content being a land mammal for now :)
