- Portland Western 2303 slow moving freight going through old downtown Salem, Oregon at the riverfront carousel . My daughter shot this video for me. Please rate, comment and enjoy.
This is one of the first train videos I remember watching back in my early days on UA-cam.
Same
same
same
same
Same, but I remember a train at Enkey Wildlife Refuge!😉
Wow that is a strange signal
It is
Nice
The ped RXR signal's light bulbs are over the X shaped sign and under the X shaped sign. LOL!
I have a video like that in Portland but the x is not in the middle
I've never seen anything like that before.😎
yYour daughter did an excellent job filming without a tripod! Great catch and unusual crossing .
Yes she did. thank you
I Remember This Video... And It Was one of My Favs. I Used To Watch The Whole Thing Almost Every Day..
And The Signal With The Vertical Lights Kinda Remind Me of Those Japanese Railroad Crossing Signals
Genesee County Railfanning Productions dude same
same. old railfan vids are the best
This is way out of my area but I like western US trains. I film in the midwest and east.
your daughter did an exellent job filming without a tripod! great catch and unuasel croosing .
Nice commentary! The creator shall appreciate that!👍
Lol, This Was The BEST, and also one of the first and most memorable Videos I've ever watched When I Was Young. I also remember Watching The Whole Thing And Just Remembering What Each Car Looked Like, and what attracted me to watch this was
..that weird freakin' signal with vertical mounted lights that was in this video.. lmao
Same
All of my memories came back to me after I watched this
i think it is nice how you can hear your daughter telling someone on the phone she is shooting this video for her dad. sweet.
Outta curiousity, was this a planned shoot? ike is this a daily train and you waited there for it? or was it just a lucky catch?
She did good with that video. High fives to her!
I've never seen RXR signals purposely mounted in the "bouncing ball" configuration before. I noticed at the end that the traffic signal equipment had the no right turn sign lit up like it should when the RXR signals are activated.
I remember watching this in my childhood. Very good video. I feel so nostalgic after finding and watching these videos again. Is that ex-Santa Fe locomotive leading freight train?
NGL when I was a little kid I actually watched trains go by at that exact place in Salem, my parents always took me to the carousel
It's roughly winter in the Northwest and it looks like it rained.
I’ve actually been to this place after this was uploaded it was pretty fun to see the carousel
@k41361 Thank you, she's always happy to hear that
@celica825 The actual marks are PNWR. The property is owned by GWI, one of the largest shortline operators in the world.
Bro I remember watching this when I was 4 years old back in 2009 brought back memories
Very nice nostalgia I found
yea great catch and video of this fright going through this town
I remember watching this as my first video on UA-cam
the graffiti on this train looks beautiful compared to a lot of other train videos ive seen.
Oregon! For a minute, I thought I was watching the Providence and Worcester in Salem Masachusetts, LOL.
@HumorISHOT25 Thank you, My daughter shot this video for me
3004 is stored pretty much in my back yard (well about 1/4 mile away any way) down at the UP interchange. I walk by it daily :-)
Over/under signal lights is very unusual but a novel idea
the RR crossings look wierd
Thank you
Thanks, My daughter shot this video for me
Cool! I watched this video over and over and over again as a child
@@quandariuswigglebottom9139 same
Is P&W a leasing company? cause i noticed that in some of your videos there were P&W locomotives that had santa fe bluebonnets on them. any idea? great vid!
Nostalgia hits hard
This was uploaded on my birthday! (Wont say how old I turned due to personal rights) but January 29th is my birthday!
@swedepea Carousel Crossing is also right by the Circus Track...due of course to the Carousel being in the background.
Excellent video!
Thanks
O ^ BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG!
O v Love the vertical lights!
Bienvenidos de vuelta a 2009 vengo de 2024 a recordar este video ya que cuando sea 2024 ya va a cumplir 15 años este video
Ahh yes the days when I watched these kinds of videos I was 3 years old
Thank you!
nice catch! and so close!
I do recall a video like this, but I can't find it which is very upsetting to me.
You can go to my videos and find it ua-cam.com/users/ErvansTrainsvideos
Sadly a lot of people choose b and c and end up getting injured or losing their life trying to beat a train across the tracks. Obviously common sense people would choose A
Awesome crossing!
whao i never seen that grade crossing before the one has the up and down red lights when it's flashing when the trains has came thorugh......
WOW, sweet! I've never seen those before! 5***** from me man.
It’s so sad that the old train channels are dying
Rather than the same view, I would like to have also seen the signals to the right.
Nice job!
Pedestrian signal makes more sense than the (o)T(o) arrangement.
Also I wonder what type of E bell this is. It's not like any I heard b4
Never seen a crossing signal setup like that. with one light above the crossbuck and one below. Only in videos based in Asia.
I went railfanning in that area before
Awesome video 5*****
Great video.
Nice vertical flashing lights!
danke schön für das wunderschöne video
ich würd sooooooooo gern maal nach america kommen, nur um mir die eisenbahn anzuschauen..................
Awesome video
She's good at everything she does.
Ervans Trains o
This video must be purchased!
You're welcome and thank you.
she did a great job filming
It's a quiet zone now.
Nice video.
Nice Shot! :)
I have never seen a signal mast configured like that before. Different.
The second 2 unit look exactly like NYS&W engines!
It's great when your children follow the same interests, but not so good when they get better than you...:o( Bob
you knw that is one of the weirdest train crossigns i've seen (liek the signals) least in North America :P
very awesome
Why is it called a carousel railroad crossing ?
There is a carousel nearby
What's so weird about it?
Your daughter sounds like she's in her mid teens.😎
love it
XxNinjaGamerxX 9990 zft
I love trains
The lead unit is a GP38-2.
I watched this when I was 7
Very nice. Subscribing.
I was still in school that year
I agree
The carousel is in the back ground
Does not suprise me to see kerse rolling on this line or any line for that matter.
It is a Riverfront Carousel
Just a lucky catch
wow!!!!!
I used to call railroad crossings “train gates”
And I used to call them ding dings lol
They changed the lights to LED
cool
CHILDHOOD
Why the verticalamps?
Pedestrian signal?
Nice! Compact and less expensive than cross arms.
If done for vehicles, and some idiot got himself hit by a train, he could claim that he did not undertstand these non conforming, non standard signals.
why is there a freaking add at the beginning?????
this is the slowest moving train i have ever witnessed does it make you mad!! lol dh
how much ?
ok that is longer i think before
o.0
Wow nice :) 2009
That's what she said!
you bet. They don't take kindly to it at all.
😎
1;26 how did that car get so rusty
probley assholes sprayed it with brown paint
OakCreekrailfan because it was from the 70s
