As cool as it looks having the train running down that corridor downtown (starts at 18:00) it is also annoying how SLOW it goes, relative to the other areas on the line.
@@AirAttackTransit Thanks, I recall the discussions about the first LRV line back in 1978-1979 when I was visiting San Jose. The town was so wonderful then I was amazed coming from New Jersey.
@@AirAttackTransit and the handles are used to move it up to a certain speed, from what I've gathered. There's not a pedal for brakes, is there? I've had a few operators come to sudden stops.
@@emceevideography Yes, push it up moves it forward and pushing it down slows it down so on and so forth. Im not sure abt the sudden stops though. No pedals to control its movement that’s for sure. My guess is suddenly moving the controller from power to brake suddenly or track brake application. I’ve noticed in my videos the operator moves the handle up a bit before stopping completely.
I work for Septa here in Philadelphia and I must say. Our layout is nothing compared to y'all's light rail. It's beautiful af
I'd way rather work for a real transit agency like SEPTA
@GArails408 U don't wanna come here 😂😂😂 ijs our city rail shit is dinosaurs
@@YXLMAR I'd want to do the surface trolley
Great video!! Thanks for sharing this
I wonder what that Canada goose behind the tree on the right hand side at 22:52 was so angry about lol
I just noticed 😂 They've been hanging around the field next to my house as well and they're very territorial I believe. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for making this video. This used to be part of my commute (I used to ride a bike to the station and to my work place).
My pleasure!
The vta is so awesome I took it to my school delmar last year
Wow super nice video. Thanks for nice sharing. Keep safe ❤❤

Agreed, and its been like that since as long as I can remember. They need to do some design upgrades in this section to improve speeds.
@@stevens1041 I think that there are plans to grade separate that part of the LRT system by 2050.
It turns into a Tram.
Sick thumbnail. That’s a great shot.

Wow nice, thank you for this Video😍😍❤❤

Almost feels like it's in Europe, with the new electric caltrain emus and catenary!
Yup! Except when it moves into the median of the freeway lol
I meant the VTA trains of course- Caltrain doesn’t operate in the median of the freeway, but 101 was designed along the same corridor.
@@anthonysnyder1152There’s quite a few European rails that run in the middle of a freeway.
Great video!
Thanks man!

Are you driving the train or is it automatic train control?
Its being driven by faith
excellent video, and above all good quality of the camera, what camera do you use?
Thanks! I just use my iPhone 11 for these videos.

Whats that track on the right used for? At the start of the video
It's the Union Pacific line, there's a train that usually picks up lumber from the lumber yard not far from the station
the driver definatly had fun on his job
Are these LRV's pedal-operated or is there a handle out of sight?
They’re operated by a master controller handle with your left hand. The pedals are to control the bells and horn
That's wrong im pretty sure theyre solely operated by hope and faith
100%

how come he didn't blow the horn incessantly like other US trains?
Light rail trains don’t really blow their horns unless there’s a car or someone obstructing the tracks
what train is this and where is this England?
